This is the most worsted experience of having a family doctor and clinic in my life, I have Been trying to book an appointment more than 3 weeks, had 14 calls, 5 messages and about 9 appointments web request through their website to see Dr.Allaw. No one call me back or even answered. Due to sever pain on knee went as a walk-in client and been told I have to wait until receiving a call from Dr office. Do not waste your time and nervous.

Not a good place to visit, receptionist is too rude with everyone, they have stopped calling to let know when its your turn. They wont tell you after how many patients you will be seen, I went at 12pm they told me to come at 3pm then I waited 4 hours for my turn, it is better if they go back to basic and call you when it is your turn, or after coming if doctor sees you within one hour. Or atleast tell patients, how many patients are ahead of them. Please replace receptionist or tell her to respect patients who are already not well..! Thanks!

The front desk staff were lovely, and I only had to wait about 10min before being led to an appointment room. However, the doctor I saw was very rude and dismissive. Not compassionate at all. I am not a doctor, so I went in with the information I had from experiencing this before. She acted like I was crazy for thinking I could get help from a walk-in clinic. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong by coming in to get help. I don’t have a family doctor in the city yet so a walk-in is the only place I can go right now. If my information is wrong, give me correct information. Don’t just keep saying “no we can’t do that. This is a walk-in clinic! We don’t do that”. I was literally crying and she didn’t offer me any kind of help or solution. In the end she said all she could do was refer me. We left the room, and she didn’t explain to me what that meant, or direct me out of the clinic. I found my way back to the front and was waiting for the referral, to find out from the lovely front-desk staff that a referral means they send my info and I wait for a call. That would have been helpful information to give me. I left in tears. Overall a waste of time and a very bad experience. A doctor should not make you feel bad for coming in to get help. This just makes me not want to see a doctor again.

One of the worst experiences in terms of walk-in clinics. I was experiencing moderate heart palpations and took the day off work to seek help. I waited around 3-4 hours to see a doctor only for them to rush me through everything. I barely even sat down when I got scolded by the doctor for not having a family doctor. I've been on the waitlist for at least a dozen clinics for over two years now. The doctor then dismissed all my concerns and without asking any meaningful questions, she sent me off to a blood test. I told her I had blood work done three times that month already for the same reasons which she shrugged off and then took my blood pressure through my two layers of clothing and told me work is probably stressful, so that must be the reason for my health concerns. Without further ado she stood up and opened the door for me to leave, even though I still had questions. I quickly asked her to feel a small lump on my neck which she barely touched for .5 seconds and simply said not to worry about it while pushing me out the door. I didn't spend more than five minutes in that room. I still got the blood work done and nobody contacted me for a follow up since. Truly one of the worst clinics in the city. Don't waste your time.

I wish I looked at this rating before going to this clinic. Very poorly run place. Long wait times. Very inconsiderate of your time and reason for visit. Receptionists are rude. Waited 4 hours after they told me it would be 45 minutes. Wouldn't give me any info and took it offensively when i asked about what's going on. They just leave you waiting and never knowing if youre actually going to see a doctor. Don't go here. Trust me the stress isn't worth it, especially if you're waiting with small children.

    - No patient privacy for Walk-in patients. They should use forms to ask why the patient wants to see the doctor instead of discussing it in front of other patient in the waiting area. - Dr. is rushing. He went to see me before a nurse could do the interview, which is a surprise that he is doing the initial interview himself. He asked what is going on with me, I went on telling him my reason, interrupted me by asking for a test (which obviously I do not have. I do not have the kit to take the test lol). He said he will be back when I have the test, and I asked him if he's not going to hear everything first. He went on saying that there's no point doing the interview if I do not have the test. (That is why you should have the nurse doing the interview and telling the patient what are the things they must have first, if possible, before the doctor comes in and talk to the patient). - Both nurse and the dr. is not very pleasant. After telling a little bit about the prescription, which I tried my best to ask all the concerns I have, they left the room while talking in their language. I was under the impression that I needed to wait as they did not tell me I am good to go. - While waiting for them, I can hear other nurses talking bad about other clients. Very unprofessional. The clinic is small and even if the door is closed, their conversation is still audible. - Please improve patient privacy and care. It was a bad experience and I hope you do not ignore the negative reviews.

No one picks up the phone and no voicemail is available for those with no family physician or people looking to get walk in information. Also in person registration is also uncomfortable as you have to disclose your medical issue in front of the whole wait line. They also don't follow up on tests results or look at them for weeks or so I've been told when following up leaving many still in pain. They are one of the only close location in my area and open later then most hints the one star so I will still need to go there at time but if any other clinic is closer accept that they will have better care

I have been to this clinic several times and have had very good experiences. The clinic is very clean. Most front staff are pleasant, I’ve seen Dr. Jain every time I’ve been there and she is so nice and efficient. The nurse Tammy is fairly busy but always takes the time to explain things in a way that regular people can understand and she makes you feel like she is listening to your concerns. Very professional physician and nurse. I would recommend this clinic 100%

One of the worst clinics I have been to. The doctors were fine and more than pleasant to deal with however that is where the good starts. We were left waiting for every booked appointment a minimum of an hour upwards of 2.5 hours. We were called by the support staff for the same test results 6 seperate times. Not once was it recorded we were spoken to about the results. We were told that all appointments were booked that week so went to the walk in clinic instead. We were then reprimanded by our doctor because we didn't book an appointment. When we decided to leave this doctor and move on to another we were told we would be charged 100$ per person to have our records released to the new doctor. Do yourself a favour and find a better facility.

In July of 2023 I attended this clinic with my brother on a walk in basis - he had difficulty breathing and we attended the clinic at 8:30 am and he was seen by 9:30am. Dr. Doss was kind and provided an emergency referral which my brother took advantage of and is doing better. We were grateful for the emergency referral. Tonight (August 24) I attended the clinic at 6.55 pm (it closes at 7pm) with a cut finger and the same doctor took the time to stitch my cut after hours! it was so refreshing for my brother to be treated professionally - I would highly recommend this clinic and will visit again if necessary though patience may be required if they are very busy! When I told Dr. Doss that I would have waited 8 hours in emergency for stitches - she replied it was better that she spend 10 minutes of her time after hours than I spend 8 in emergency. To me that is indicative of her compassion for her patients.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had. Stood in line for an hour outside. Then an hour inside. Lady in front of me collapsed. They had no wheelchair. Receptionists stood there motionless. Doctors came over but were not coordinated. No room with a bed available. Truly shocking. Back to waiting. No CC, after all of that if you don’t have cash then FU. Got here 3 hours ago. Still waiting to see a doc. Wow. This is Canada? Ottawa? Wow. Dr. Anis Khan was very pleasant and respectful. I read the other reviews while I was waiting and I did get worried. But I must say the interaction with him was actually very good. He got to the heart of the problem easily and explained everything very well and how to properly take the medication. I’d recommend seeing him for sure.

I hope that the doctors and other secretaries are courteous, professional and empathetic. Unfortunately, I don’t have the name of this lady that is at the front desk, but she is rude and agressive. And if these are two of the qualifications you must have to work there, it is a shame. People go into clinics because they are unwell or are accompanying a family member who is unwell. And now that finding a family’s physician has a become a challenge, it is making things even more difficult. So respect should be put forward to appease people, especially if incoming “patients/ clients have shown staff and other people around respect.

This is where I go if I need to see a doctor as soon as possible, but don't think an ER trip is necessary. I would recommend not going here. The staff is very rude and the doctors always seem to be looking for a way to get patients out of the door as quick as possible. A doctor at a recent visit recommended I take medication which only made my issues worse. You're better off finding another walk in clinic.

Absolutely the worst service!! The secretary has zero empathy and zero respect for the patients that are coming into the office. I took an Uber with my son to the clinic at 11:45 a.m., she took my son’s card and told me to come back at 3:00. I came back at 2:55, and had to wait another 3 hours. When I asked approximately how much longer, she refuses to tell you how much more of a wait will be before or even how many people may be in front of you, mind you my son is in pain with an ear infection. I will never come back to this clinic again. The service is absolutely horrible!! Zero stars.

Edited to add: I had the receptionist that all the other comments were talking about and I now understand... too bad for words.... I try to believe that maybe they are having a bad day but after being back multiple times and her being just as bad every time now I know it wasn't a bad day.... besides the reception the doctor was great and so was the nurse. If they had a different secretary many of the reviews would probably be better. No complaints! Went in Sunday for 8:40 to beat any lines and was out by 10:15. Reception was nice and doctor was quick but kind. He gave me an extra month supply of medications because he knows how hard it is to see a doctor nowadays. Mask is mandatory even for non-viral/sickness visits so make sure to bring one as they don't offer them. Clean and not bad for space. Offers to text you when they are ready so you don't have to wait in line.

We had to wait 4 hours before finally being seen by a doctor. The old receptionist is very rude and unprofessional to walk-in patients. She was literally being a bully. When, after three hours of waiting, I asked the nurse how much longer, she was so annoyed. They demand you wear a mask, but half the time the staff had their masks off or under their chin. When my son was finally seen for his ear infection, Dr. Allaw was rude. He was impatient with my son, who is autistic, and when I tried to explain this to him, he kept talking over me. He seemed offended by a woman trying to explain something to him. He then filled out the prescription incorrectly for my son, so the pharmacist sent us back to him correct it. I would give this place 0 stars if possible. In the end the whole ordeal was five hours. I would suggest a different clinic as this one is deplorable.

I rated this place high last time but omg we are back to covid era service. 3.5 hour wait even when we had a booked appointment. Ridiculous! Cons: 1. The receptionists aren't friendly. Note to the receptionists: Patients are already frustrated by the ridiculous wait times of Dr. K and walk-in clinic. Your attitude and behavior aggravates them instead of easing the situation. I understand some patients are difficult, but many of us talk to you politely only to receive very cold/rude tone of communication from you. 2. Dr. K's receptionist NEVER picks up the phone. Leave a voicemail and you'll get a call few days later. And if you miss that call and they leave a voicemail....well you're back in the cycle of call and no pick-up. 3. Silly question you'll get asked: "Who's your family doctor?" by your family doctor himself. It has happened on multiple occasions, and I try to hide my shock. Don't they read the patient profile at the very least? I visit 2 to 3 times a year. 4. The doctor doesn't remember your health history or what he recommended last time. He doesn't have time to read your profile. Yes he has many patients. Being a walk-in doctor means he has too many patients to handle. Note to future patients: It is a BAD idea to have a family doctor that also works as a walk-in doctor. You don't feel seen, you feel rushed and I personally really doubt the doctor's advice because I don't think they have a full picture of the patient's health. 5. With appointment, the wait time can range from 1 to 3 hours with Dr. K. Note to patients: There's no point for you to come on time for your appointment. For walk-ins, the wait time is 4 to 6 hours. The receptionists should bring back the covid era method of calling the patient's cell when it was almost their turn to see the doctor. This way the patients won't waste so much time in the waiting area. There are good places to eat and shop in the area. 6. You can only discuss one ailment per visit - even when it is your own family doctor. This means you spend approx. 5 hours at the clinic to spend 15min seeing the doctor. Then come back again spend another 5 hours to see the doctor for 15min. Pros: Doctor and his assistants are friendly. Nurse giving vaccinations is a joy to meet - smiling and friendly.

I visited the clinic with severe throat pain, unable to swallow food or water, fever over 40 degrees, body pain, blocked nose and all symptoms consistent with a bacterial infection. Ive been having on and off fever for almost 3 weeks. I asked her for a blood test, but the lady doctor who looked at me just dismissed me saying it COVID without even getting a blood test when Ive been having on going fever for 3 weeks. I ended up going to the emergency in a couple of days that week and was diagnosed with PNEUMONIA because of an untreated infection. I would never go back there.

We just went to the walk in clinic and we’re served quickly and amicably by the receptionist. She was attentive and went out of her way to get my elderly mother to be seen by a female physician, st my moms request. The physician took time out of her day to see her - her shift had already ended. Dr. Doss, we are super grateful for you.

I’m so happy to have my family doctor at this centre. The service is great. The lady Mira( who works with Dr. Adel Allaw) is so kind and cooperative. She always answer the phone, returns calls, schedule appointments very fast, most of the times for the same day we request to see the doctor. I’m really happy with the services and so thankful. Thank you very much you deserve the best

TLDR; rude receptionist, very packed parking lot, registration for new patients is online (gotta google it, link is not on websites homepage). I have called five times and never once spoken to anyone there. Voice mailbox is full. Went in to find out if they are accepting new patients. Approached the rude lady at the family doctor counter. She didn’t greet me, just looked up at me and stared till I asked my question. She told me to register online and continued staring at the computer. I said I went online and didn’t find any info. She rudely gave me instructions on finding the form, which you can only access if you google it (not from the website’s homepage). I called them five times before going in and not once did I speak to a person. Their voice mailbox is full. I could have saved myself a trip if they answered their phone and told me to register online.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at this clinic. The receptionists' conduct was perceived as unprofessional and discourteous. I experienced an extended wait of nearly 6 hours only to discover that the on-duty doctor was unable to process my WSIB claim because she was not the initial examining physician. The subsequent refusal by the doctor, coupled with a lack of professional communication, left me disappointed. I believe that improved knowledge and coordination among the receptionists could have prevented this situation. Regrettably, based on this experience, I have decided not to return to your clinic. I hope they take this feedback constructively to enhance the overall service quality. My advice go to another walk-in clinic, your whole day will be wasted here. I have come here 3 times now and this will be the last.

I came here early October 2022 then went for bloodwork a couple weeks later across the street. it is now March 2023 and STILL no phone call, email, or letter of any kind to get my test results. I called them and the voicemail is useless. my anxiety is high because I want the results but heard nothing. I dread going back there. if you want to go for testes and get absolutely nothing back, this is the place for you!

Im embarrassed that I had to even come back to this place as a last resort since I’m in extreme pain. Receptionist is extremely rude, she rolled her eyes at me for a simple question that I asked. I’m surprise they still have Sue working here still considering her lack of customer service since it’s the medical health field where it should be mandatory. Do NOT come here. I’d recommend going to wait 7-10 hours at the hospital than to have this experience.

I went in today, the wait time was short was called in quickly. The doctor was very nice and was very helpful. The highlight of the day was the nurse I didn’t catch her name. It start with T very nice blond lady. Thank you for being so professional. I felt better knowing that you care for how I feel. Look for this nice lady when you go there and she will make you feel better.

This place used to be DIRTY and complete trash, it's been years since I went here but I gave it another shot and the whole place got renovated so it's cleaner. It opens at 9 but people line up outside at 8am and Ahmed who works here keeps it SO ORGANIZED only 4 in at a time so it is fast. Ahmed is great, he tells the rules while not being rude unlike the woman receptionist with glasses she I'd SUPER RUDE. The doctors rooms themselves could definitely use a clean wipe down there were fingerprints and dirt on the bottoms of all surfaces and this area could use another walk in clinic! But both of those are city problems and issues not this clinics fault. Ahmad you rock, Southbank if u lose Ahmed u will suck

I’m not sure if I am the only one who is experiencing this but I haven’t seen my family doctor in almost a year and every time I have booked an appointment with the clinic my doctor was never there and I had to go in with any walk in clinic doctor. Even if you book an appointment you have to wait for an hour or two. Do not waste your time by booking an appointment online because most likely they won’t get back to you and it will be a complete waste of time. Honestly it would be a waste of time if you even try to go to the clinic. There is no privacy for the patient when they want to disclose their personal issue at the front. I’m sure the last time I went the person said my issue so loud I’m sure everyone that was waiting heard us ( also tried to speak as low as I can so no one can hear what’s going on).

This clinic is quick compared to most, which is the only reason I didn’t give it 1 star. Staff does nothing to enforce mask-wearing policies; two girls sat right next to me with masks down on their chins and nobody said a word. A new patient walked in completely maskless and staff said nothing. Embarrassing for the clinic to not be following masking requirements. For goodness sake, it’s a CLINIC. No respect for their patients’ health and safety.

Prepare to wait forever. And then a bit more. Then you can get registered. And then wait an eternity after that. You may see the doctor by the time Judgement Day comes.

I completely understand a long wait for a walk in clinic but at least be transparent. There is a line up outside that makes it seem like the wait will be an hour at moat and then you go inside and are told it's 1.5 hours more minimum. An employee was coming in and out constantly so it would take 2 seconds to say "Hey, there's a much longer wait inside as well" instead of having people waste an hour outside to be told to wait another two inside.

I went to Southbank Medical Centre, Walk in Clinic on 12 July this year after an acute crisis of abdominal pain with fever.  I haven't been at this Centre in years and was nicely surprised how well organized the place and the work was. The receptionist Julina was kind, calm and fast in helping about 30 people in a short time. I waited about 30 minutes and was accepted by DR. DOSS. Her assistant competently took my epicrisis. Dr. Doss impressed me with her competence, professionalism and efficiency. She prescribed me antibiotics, gave requisitions for Blood Test and XRay. On the next morning the nurse Tammy called at home on behalf of Dr.Doss for follow up and additional advice. Not only do I feel much better now, but I achieved faster more results with my health tests than previously. I had another visit at DR. Doss office, who analyzed my blood test. Thank you very much, Dr. Doss for your responsiveness and care! Thank you to the staff of Southbank Walk in Clinic for their amazing work!

The receptionist who was working today on June 14/ 2023 at 5:00 P.M in the walk in clinic is so rude, she want to prevent me and my daughter seeing the doctor although the clinic was empty and the Dr. Is there. This is because i didnt wait in the clinic !! honestly people who work in clinic they need to know how to treat sick people and be kind with them, but in this clinic and with this lady you will have the worst experience ever !! Please go and teach your receptionist how to treat people and let her take some courses to know how to deal with people and to be polite. I don't know how your hire a rude people like her and with all the bad reviews that you have you keep her working in the clinic.

I spent my weekend looking up walk-in clinics who could see me. It's difficult to get an appointment with my physician sometimes. The wait was lengthy, almost 2 hours but it was a Sunday and I believe only one walk-in doctor was in at the moment. Considering we are still in Covid, everything was handled well by staff. I appreciated the doctor who saw me, she gave me a prescription for antibiotics and confirmed a diagnosis for me. While it was painful to sit that long, I was able to be seen and still make my shift at work. Thank you Southbank.

My husband and I have been very fortunate to have Dr. Anees Khan as our family doctor. He is a very knowledgeable and responsible physician. He also has a very kind and considerate secretary. Recently my husband had a problem and Dr. Khan, even though he was on vacation outside of Canada, called him. We appreciate it sincerely.

This clinic is helpful if you need to see someone urgently and your family doctors is closed and you don't want to wait at the hospital for many hours BUT it is very dirty and unsanitary. I have been here a couple times on a Sunday and the line up was very long once, short the next time. It really needs a deep clean done and some renovations. Friendly staff.

Not sure why the low rating... receptionist opened the door at 9am and i was 30th in line. 15-20min to register, 15-20 min waiting to see the doctor. Awesome service. However a note for Dr. Jain... when a patient says their throat is hurting badly and after your 12 second visual inspection, the appropriate response is NEVER "doesnt seem bad at all".... Not 5 stars because dr initially told me to take cough syrup and after i laughed she then prescribed the antibiotics required for my infection. 9 days later still waiting to find out if I have strep and whether I should be taking the prescribed penicillin.

Mostly good experience. Someone commented to come before open, this is good advice. I made sure to be at least half hour early, and I would be top 5 in line before open. This was in winter mind you on cold days, so earlier might be ideal in better weather as it gets busy really quickly. One receptionist was really sweet, the other didn’t really have time for me but no big deal, I find this to often be the case at doctor office reception. Dr. Morkos is an absolute gem. I really dread going in to see the doctor, especially walk-in, but she was so empathetic and helpful. My experience was great for that reason. Thank you.

Like many today I do not have a family doctor and will probably have to use walk in services for years until I am lucky enough to secure one. I seen Dr. C. Doss today and she was great what a pleasant surprise in such a messed up healthcare system thanks to covid and our provincial politicians. I did not expect such a great experience however if I ever need a physician services in the future I know which walk in clinic to go to.

I had an excellent experience at Southbank Medical Centre today. There is not many clinics open on Sundays. They were able to take me in. It is very busy at this clinic and you do need some form of patience, yet the staff works very hard to make the waiting time as minimal as possible. Thank you for your hard work :).

So Gratefull to still have this Clinic to serve us. The Staff are pleasant the Dr. Well presented and knowledgeable. To see people dump on them and take them for granted I say, perhaps you should try their job for a day, respect and kindness are easy , and when you are sick be thankful you have a place to go and be taken care of. Much Gratitude from this Girl, Thank You

No update to their appointment system for holidays. Still let it book one on a holiday. No mention last week that my doctor will be away and unable to message her until the 30th until i called in, which they tell us not to do anymore since bookings are online... If your going to push us to the web. Please make sure it's up to date.

This walk in is terrible. Turned us away and led us on a wild goose chase. Not professional at all.

My first visit to the clinic. The on-line appointment booking system greatly reduces the waiting time. Courteous reception upon arrival, polite and helpful receptionist for instructions and explanations about the forms (follow-up tests), good sanitary measures in place, very professional and "humane" doctor. Thanks!

I could have given -negative score if available. This Clinic has longest wait times even with an appointment booked. They let you sit in the waiting area for hours and take you to the clinical room to wait for hours. They just completely forget about you. Booked appointment time is worst than walk-in-clinic. They should have a system in place to have checked-in time and see the patient according to their arrival and booked time. It’s a miserable place and need renovation, seems like this place is never cleaned. Worst place to go.

I had an awesome experience at this clinic. On a Sunday, they let me know it was busy when I registered and they would text me when they were ready for me. I waited for an hour, my own fault, and then decided to leave and wait for the text. It felt like I might have been forgotten about, but I was texted, and when I arrived ushered in immediately. The doctor was diligent in his assessment, but quick and efficient as well, it didn't feel rushed, but it was quick. It's high volume and high stress I am sure for the staff, and they deal with all sorts of folks. Certainly a lot better if live close or have a vehicle, but if I ever need to see a doctor on short notice, I'm coming back here. My only regret with this review is that the secret is out. The receptionist might seem a little terse, but you have to remember the stresses people place on her and the amount of coming and goings she needs to manage. She does fantastic work and is key a member of the entire operation, in my opinion. On a Sunday, in this day in age in Canadian medical care, I could have spent 10 minutes in that office total (if I had listened to the receptionist advice) and I feel like I was diagnosed well and treated with care and respect by the doctor and his assistant. Honestly, I feel like this is a place Doctor Brian Goldman should check in with for his radio show. An amazing walk in experience which could have been even better, listen to the professional and the receptionist they will take care of you and they will remember you. 6 out of 5 is my true star review.

I came very early in the morning and was first in line . I was informed that my doctor was running late was surprised that the assistant provided support to the Client next in line who was also waiting for the same doctor. I raised my concern to the intake person who proceeded to pacify me telling me that that was not the doctor and she apologized for her colleague. When the doctors assistant came to my room I informed her of her discriminatory behaviour and she proceeded to lie that they normally start with the room the client she saw first. When I called her on her lies she told me she treats all clients the same. Obviously she missed the notion that she was treating clients with a bias lens. I informed the doctor who in turn apologized and stated she would speak to the staff. The clinic is a mess based on my observation. There is no respect for confidentiality as we are expected to yell out our phone numbers and reasons for our visits. The intake people are so rude it is unbelievable!

Receptionist was quite rude and cut me off while I was speaking. The worst part was the doctor that treated me, I saw Dr.Khan and he had clearly never had a transgender patient before. He asked me all sorts of questions about my gender and appearance that had nothing to do with the reason for my visit. I had to repeat myself several times because he was suspecting me of lying (I was there for an antibiotic not for a narcotic). While examining my wounds, he lifted the waistband of my pants to look down even though my wounds were all visible.
