I
would
give
0
stars
if
possible
but
1
star
is
the
minimum.
The
1
star
is
for
the
ByWard
FHT
administration
and
not
the
medical
staff.
I
have
been
a
patient
of
ByWard
FHT
(formerly
UOHS)
for
20+
years.
My
family
doctor
is
an
all-star
and
the
nurse
practitioners
have
all
been
great.
I
had
been
working
with
the
same
nurse
practitioner
(NP)
for
more
than
one
year
on
a
complicated
and
difficult
medical
situation
for
me.
The
NP
was
very
familiar
with
the
details
of
my
file
making
our
appointments
efficient
in
that
I
did
not
need
to
re-explain
everything
at
each
visit
and
I
felt
that
the
clinic
had
been
handling
thing
well.
As
part
of
my
ongoing
situation
we
had
been
trying
to
find
the
right
treatment
for
me
which
included
medication.
The
medication
I
was
taking
was
producing
significant
and
extremely
unpleasant
side
effects
and
I
was
coming
close
to
the
end
of
it
and
was
ready
to
be
taken
off
of
it.
I
called
ByWard
FHT
to
make
an
appointment
with
the
NP
I
had
been
working
with
for
more
than
a
year.
I
explained
my
situation
carefully
to
the
person
who
received
my
call
and
was
informed
that
the
NP
had
been
assigned
to
a
different
family
doctor
and
that
it
was
not
possible
to
make
an
appointment
with
them
due
to
policy.
I
reasoned
with
the
person
who
received
my
call
to
ask
for
an
exception
and
was
told
that
I
would
receive
a
response
quickly
after
they
spoke
to
their
supervisor.
The
response
came
approximately
2-3
days
after
I
had
called
and
I
was
told
for
a
second
time
that
I
could
not
see
the
same
NP
due
to
policy
and
informed
that
I
would
need
to
book
a
new
appointment
with
the
new
NP
who
was
now
working
with
my
family
doctor.
I
immediately
submitted
a
request
for
a
new
appointment.
If
you
have
not
used
the
ByWard
FHT
portal
to
book
an
appointment,
it
can
take
a
few
days
for
them
to
review
and
action
your
request,
followed
by
a
wait
period
of
some
weeks
before
you
can
be
seen.
Due
to
the
delay
caused
by
my
appeal
to
see
the
same
NP
and
then
the
delay
caused
by
the
waiting
period
to
see
someone,
my
medication
ran
out
and
I
stopped
it
without
proper
consultation.
Withdraw
symptoms
lasted
almost
a
week
and
were
very
unpleasant.
I
suppose
they
could
have
even
been
dangerous,
depending
on
the
medication
I
might
have
been
taking.
If
ByWard
FHT
responds
to
this
review
stating
that
I
could
have
spoken
to
my
pharmacy
for
an
extension,
I
have
some
things
to
say
about
that.
My
family
doctor
and
team
are
the
ones
who
are
familiar
with
my
situation
and
extended
history
(including
all
related
documentation)
and,
call
me
old-fashioned,
are
the
ones
responsible
for
the
proper
management
of
my
regime,
including
dosing
of
medication.
My
pharmacy
does
a
good
job
at
filling
my
prescriptions
at
the
direction
of
my
family
doctor
(and
team)
and
are
there
to
ensure
I
do
not
have
potential
conflicts
with
medication.
In
this
situation
I
felt
that
ByWard
FHT
did
not
act
in
the
best
interest
of
my
health
and
could
have
put
me
into
a
dangerous
situation
in
order
to
adhere
to
their
policy
of
not
allowing
their
NPs
to
continue
working
with
long-time
patients.
Because
of
the
actions
of
the
ByWard
FHT
administration
I
feel
that
it
is
no
longer
in
the
best
interest
of
my
health
to
continue
being
a
patient
there,
which
makes
me
sad
because,
as
I
said
at
the
beginning,
I
have
been
with
my
family
doctor
for
20+
years.
My
family
doctor
is
an
all-star
and
the
NP
team
is
great.
I
am
currently
looking
for
a
new
clinic
as
a
result.
