    The best group fitness studio in Ottawa. Excellent very knowledgeable trainers, welcoming front desk staff and an immaculate facility. Scaleable workouts for any fitness level. And first workout is free!

    I started BodiesbyPhil last week on the intro package! I like their approach its well-structured which targets different parts of the body in different classes. I also like the use of statistics to track results. The trainers are attentive to everyone in the group which I think is important for an effective workout. I am new to lot of the workouts so I needed a bit more help. The gym also offers monthly challenges and donation classes so I look forward to doing those in the future when I join as a member. Great atmosphere- casual but motivating! Lots of positive energy and meets my exception for a well structured workout! The location is great- located in the heart of downtown near major subway stops. The music is awesome. My only recommendation would be to look into offering an ab class- arguable all the class have an element of core. 100% recommend! #strongAF

    When F45 Ottawa closed, I never thought that I would find another gym with the same community feel. WOW!! Bodies by Phil is even better. From the moment I walked in, the staff and fellow members have been supportive, caring and non-judgmental. The environment is everything I was looking for and MORE. This is my new home!! If you haven’t tried a class yet, go for it!! You will not be disappointed.

    I couldn’t have better things to say about this place. Bodiesbyphil is more than a gym it’s a (hilarious and kickass) community. I’ve tried a lot of workout classes at many gyms across the city, and then I found Phil’s. The workouts are varried: strength, stretch, boxing and HIIT. The best part is trainers who really care about making sure you have fun but also understand technique and work out safely. I’ve never felt or looked better #gainz

    Funnest gym I've been to! #bodiesbyphil will have you loving your workouts and looking forward to them after a long day (or first thing in the morning if that's what you're into...). The classes and exercises are always changing, so you don't get bored. From the instructors to the gym-goers, #BBP is good vibes all around.

    I can not and WILL not stop singing the praisies of this gym. Mostly beacuse it is so much more than a gym. The sence of community and positivty this place fosters is electric! Get used to flexin that smile and your biceps (is that joke so bad that it’s good?...dont answer that!)

    I attended the Lift (Upper) and Lift (Lower) classes and it was great. I like weight lifting and having it incorporated into a class was awesome. There are 4 stations where you superset work outs. Each station is allocated 9 minutes and you work at your own pace completing the rep ranges, as many sets as you want in the timeframe. Would recommend 100% for anyone!

    I have been going to bodies by phil for about 4 months now, I absolutely love this gym and the classes. Being someone who has always been in to fitness, I was looking for a change that was more challenging that would push me harder instead of doing my own workouts. The atmosphere, trainers, classes and community are exactly what I was looking for to keep me motivated and progress my fitness goals. If you are looking for group fitness that will push you and has a social aspect to it, you have to try this gym or at least a free class!

    After being inactive for most of the pandemic, I finally joined a gym with quality group exercises. It was a shock to the system. But I’ve noticed a vast improvement to my sleep, metabolism, mobility and endurance. The classes are fun — with a heavy emphasis on good form, and challenging yourself safely. I’m still appalled by how much weaker I have become from slacking off over the last two years. But this program is helping me regain some of the confidence and strength. The trainers are observant, motivating and helpful. I’m so glad to have found this very inclusive place.

    Love, love, love Bodies By Phil! The classes are amazing, and such intense but fun workouts, with great music to pump you up! Makes my day doing an early morning class! Phil is hilarious, and a super knowledgable trainer...I have seen some great results and changes in my body thanks to the strength and conditioning I have been doing at the gym for the last couple months! HIGHLY recommend joining, if you want results!

    I love BBP! My friend convinced me to try this gym out and I'm so happy she did. Excellent location, every class is fun and such a great workout. I haven't been to the gym in years! All the trainers are amazing. The gym is so clean, and all the strict policies for covid precautions make me feel safe working out.

    I was in Ottawa for a month, and stressed about finding a gym that was comparable to what I do in LA. I stumbled upon Bodiesbyphil, and let me tell you- it FAR exceeded my expectations! So much so I went every single day I was in town! Now I’m over here frantically looking for a new gym in LA that has a similar style! Love the smaller class size that focuses on quality and “GAINZ”. Instructors are awesome and fun, and everyone who goes there is super cool. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you guys for an amazing month of workouts!

    I am brand new to Bodiesbyphil and have been so impressed by the facilities, the instructors and the workouts. The new Kanata location is spacious, has lots of great equipment and has fantastic amenities. The instructors are so incredibly knowledgeable and attentive and kindly offered modifications for exercises when I was having difficulty. And most importantly, the workouts are challenging and classes are offered at a number of convenient times during the day, so there is no excuse not to go! Coming from someone who is brand new to their fitness journey, I would absolutely recommend Bodiesbyphil if you are looking for a supportive and fun atmosphere while getting a great workout in.

    I’ve only been to the Kanata location and loving it so far. The gym is clean with a large selection of equipment. I always look forward to the good beats to pump me up! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend booking a class.

    Honestly the BEST gym in the city. There is NO other gym like it. Not only is it fun and inclusive, it makes working out a part of your life. The gym makes you feel welcome, the trainers are lively and know what they are doing. It's just a special place and everyone should pop in and try a class or an intro month. Clean changerooms, phone chargers, water fill up station, boxing, workshops and JOKES. Need I say more?

    I had never worked out consistently in my life, and I am now three months in at bodiesbyphil and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. The instructors are very welcoming and helpful, so there is no need to be intimidated by not having any workout experience. Everyone at the gym is friendly and encouraging. The classes are difficult, but you can tailor it to your skill level with the amount of weight you lift. It is honestly such a great environment! 10/10 would recommend.

    I can't say enough good things about this place. The trainers are incredible and each workout is different and challenging but made for all levels of fitness. This is a seriously inclusive place with a not-so-serious atmosphere! Don't walk, run to BBP and give it a try (first class is free), you will be hooked.

    This is my favorite gym. I look forward to every single class I do there. They are consistently a great workout and a lot of fun. All of the instructors are good, but Dan is THE BEST. He is extremely knowledgeable and is very attentive to correcting form. Highly recommend.

    Great place to workout! Classes are already structured for you, so you just need to show up. It is great for people of all fitness levels-the trainers do a great job teaching/adjusting if they notice you need assistance. It doesn’t have the same atmosphere most gyms have; there are lots of jokes, laughs and high fives!

    Dropped into a class here on a Monday morning. Great atmosphere, loved the space, and an even better workout. Phil, is doing great things with this place. Their social media presence is great as well, I suggest giving their Insta a follow for sneak peeks of the classes and for Phil's sense of humor. 6/5 would go back, just wish my work schedule didn't conflict with their class schedule! :(

    I have always been an active person but working out at #bodiesbyphil has drastically changed my health and fitness while transforming my body in ways I never thought I would achieve. The community and environment is relaxed, non judgemental and a lot of fun which motivates you even more to come to classes. The trainers are all incredibly knowledgeable and always make the effort to correct your form and ensure you are getting the most from your workout. They are also given the freedom to teach their classes how they want so everyone brings something different to the schedule. The classes are always different and continue to challenge me even after a year of attending. If you want to join a fitness club in Ottawa that has amazing workouts, mediocre jokes, and the best people ever go to #bodiesbyphil ;)

    #bodiesbyphill is the best gym ever. The gym truly has a one of a kind atmosphere, filled with kind and caring, but also funny people, who attend classes regularly- so you feel like you're part of a community. There are jokes all around, but the trainers also really, truly care about their members . I quite often overhear them checking in on what's going on in people's lives outside of the gym- how special is that. The class sizes are small so if you're intimidated by big group classes, this is the place for you. Beginner of expert- you'll fit right in. You'll have a chance to learn proper form as the instructors are well trained in the ancient art of fitness and gainz lol. Honestly just start going. Sign up for a month and then forever.

    I have tried several gyms in Ottawa, mainly in the Centretown area and most have been okay quality, but this one stands out by far. I have been going to this gym for a year now, and the staff is amazing, they keep the place very clean, and the other members are welcoming. I look forward to working out each time I go, and the variety of classes are all challenging. My favourite class is Shred, which is ab exercises paired with HIIT, great class format! Each class starts with a demo by the trainer of the exercises for that class and they take the time to walk around to keep an eye on everyone's form during class. This gym also has a wide variety of clientele, all ages, sizes, genders. and they make it clear it's a safe space for 2SLGBTQ+. And sometimes the owner, Phil lands a good joke. ;)

    Ive been a bodies by Phil member since the Kanata location opened up a year ago! Let me tell you, it’s worth the drive (I’m about 40 min away) the gym community is inclusive, serious about health but not in a pretentious way, it’s approachable, it’s fun, sarcastic and even when you hate it you love it! You have the space to challenge yourself and receive the feedback and encouragement you need to reach your goals! 100% recommend to anyone who is new or a seasoned gym goer looking for a little spice and stepping away from the chain gym who know nothing about you, only that you pay your fees. Bodies by Phil is a welcoming and a fresh approach, each trainer will take the time to know you. So don’t be shy, come on in, downtown or Kanata!

    This gym is very awesome! I just finished the intro package and cannot wait to continue my fitness journey with BBP. Classes are the perfect difficulty and length, and the atmosphere is great! The gym owner puts a lot of effort into COVID precautions as well. Highly recommended!

    Fun time, felt like summer camp lol. And whoever picks the music has good taste, misfits rock. Also, Phil was a really encouraging and funny trainer and I can't wait to see what the other trainers are like. Free first class is a great incentive to try something new.

    Bodies By Phil is the place to be if you are looking for an amazing inclusive fitness atmosphere! This gym and classes push you to better yourself while accommodating every fitness level. All you have to do is show up and get ready to hop on the gainz train! The trainers are always happy to help and teach proper form to make sure you get the most out of each class while working out safely. Cant wait for the Kanata location to open soon! 15/10 would recommend!

    I don't even know how to describe how I feel about BodiesbyPhil. The workouts kick my butt but, they bring me absolute joy. The trainers bring me joy too. Honestly, the best part is the black and yellow aesthetic of the place. When I walk in, I feel like a bumble bee: happy, fuzzy, thick and ready to do something aerodynamically impossible.

    I LOVE this place. I’m new to weight training and was quite nervous about trying it, but Bodies By Phil is perfect! No matter your fitness level – or age – you belong here. I usually go to a morning class and walk into the studio not fully awake and wondering ‘what am I doing here’, and I always walk out feeling perfect. Fabulous trainers, fabulous workouts, fabulous music, fabulous and welcoming community. Don’t hesitate for another second – get yourself to Bodies by Phil!

    I found this gym in December trying the same time different gyms. Energy and team work is amazing here and all instructors as well. I love it from first class even barely came home :) If you like energetic fun hard core classes like boot camp, if you like professional trainers who care, if you want to find friends and do real workout- come here:) you dont regret unless you want just sit on bike and read newspaper like I saw in other gym:) just saying....🤗

    I have been working out at various gyms throughout Ottawa for over 25 years and I can easily say that Bodies By Phil is the best gym I have ever been a member of. I have been a member at Bodies By Phil for over 2 years, consistently going 4-5 times per week. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about fitness and that comes through in every class. I really appreciate the attention that all of the instructors provide both before and during and after the workouts. Another aspect that makes this gym amazing is the fact that the workouts are constantly changing which means my fitness level is continually being challenged. What I most appreciate about Bodies By Phil is the fun, supportive and overall amazing atmosphere that Phil has created. I look forward to the classes, not only to workout, but to connect with the people that I have become friends with. I started with a two week membership and before the two weeks were done I joined full time. The boost to my physical and mental health is well worth the price of the membership. Thanks to Phil and his amazing team of instructors, I am in the best shape of my life. I highly encourage anyone reading this review to try the two week trial membership…your mind and body will thank you.
