This place is great and the staff are incredible, absolutely love the classes here. The reason for 2 stars however is due to a recent change in the way the business works. You no longer book for classes, it's first come, first serve. This was a terrible change. The classes are now overfilled and you usually end up sharing a bag with no space for movement. It was already tight to begin with, now it's just ridiculous. Really hoping they go back to the old model but until then it is not worth the fairly high cost for 45 minutes of cramped boxing.

You want towel service? Forget it. You want fancy treadmills that play your Katy Perry tunes? Don't bother. You want to beat the crap out of some bags, lose a ton of weight, and sweat until you're Dame Judi Drenched? Go to Beaver Boxing. It is not the fanciest place in the world, but that's the entire point. It's about the boxing, and they do it well.

This is honestly the best boxing gym ever. I would definitely recommand you to try it out if you are currently hesitating with other clubs and reading the reviews to get an idea. I just want to mention that ALL of the coaches here are amazing! They take their time with you and will really push you to your limits. I personnaly was in the Canadian Armed Forces and this place really has KILLER workouts! If you want to get back in shape or just to try something new out you have to come to Beaver Boxing club. Also, this is probably one of the cleanliness gyms. They follow all guidelines for COVID-19. I just really love this place!!! Give it a try.

Great friendly place with quality coaches and a good balance between kids, youth, adult programs. Beaver is an awesome place for learning to box, working out, self-defense, fight training, and anything in between. The diversity here is amazing and the coaches are top notch

Tried a few classes. The coaches were very limited in knowledge. It's a decent gym if you're a complete beginner and have 0 knowledge in boxing. Saw some of the sparring and everyone had very little skill. Mainly wild brawling which requires very little thinking. Great for fitness but not to actually learn the sweet science .

The entrance is VERY hard to access for anyone using a mobility device. Depending on the device, it might be impossible. The ramp they currently use is scary! In order to be a truly inclusive club that can support athletes with a disability, it needs to improve drastically.

Attended classes at the gym for 9 months, started as an unfit beginner. Excellent way to stay fit, challenge yourself and learn a new sport. Very inclusive, encouraging atmosphere. Staff and coaches push you without belittling you and do an excellent job giving individual instruction, while directing the large group. Can't speak highly enough of Beaver boxing. Bummed that I had to leave! First classes will be hard, and the place may seem intimidating at first, but persevere!

β€’ Phenomenal & professional coaches that offer quality advice and techniques. β€’ 25+ punching bags available in different sizes and weights. β€’ Weights, jump ropes and cardio machines available for a workout. β€’ A lot of mirrors on the walls so you can see what you’re doing. β€’ Store on site that sells equipment and sports wear. β€’ Free parking on site and the streets surrounding the gym.

Great and friendly people. Coaches are great and make things fun. Open to people of different ages and body types. The cardio is top notch and you'll learn plenty along the way. The best way it was described to me and it's the same way I felt too is "I wish I had done this 10 years ago"

One of the oldest and best boxing clubs in Ottawa. Gut punching class will drive you to the next level of both weight loss and fighting technique. They have gloves if you're doing $10 drop in. You just need to buy the wraps. The only issue is that the classes are over crowded and there's not enough room or time for the coach to come around to everyone.

Don't go here in hopes to learn boxing and become competitive. These are just fitness classes.

This is a well run establishment. The staff are really friendly, and great boxing coaches. The classes are really good to practice technique and they also have plenty of equipment and punching bags to use. They also have a ring, which I have not used.

great price for the place and I love the coaches. Only concern is it gets quite busy, so maybe bring back the booking system for the classes.

Very impressed with how friendly, welcoming & knowledgeable the staff are here. My son has done the youth drop in twice & absolutely loves it. The coaches take the time to show proper technique & ensure they get a good work out.

Since being back in the Toronto area for a couple years again, I haven't found a comparable boxing gym like Beaver in Ottawa. Nothing fancy and felt more like a nonjudgmental gym. I was stressed with school at the time and struggled with bad anxiety/depression and it was always a place I went to feel better and get in good workouts. Definitely miss this place.

Boxing is a great sport if you want to get in shape, learn to defend yourself, or become a competitive athlete. This is a great club to get started. Great coaches who are insightful and nice. There's free parking, too. The club doesn't smell bad like a lot of the other clubs I have been to.
