I stumbled upon this beautiful spot by chance today and will definitely be back. My cappuccino (Equator beans) was perfectly prepared and I really enjoyed the homemade granola and yogurt. The plants make for a very cozy and peaceful atmosphere and there’s a great mix of practical and comfy seating. The woman who served me was absolutely lovely and I’m looking forward to coming back with family and friends.

Stayed for the new brunch items after my (usual) amazing spin class. The food was absolutely delicious and, the service was friendly and efficient. The shakshuka is absolutely fanstastic. Best cappuccino in Ottawa. Great start to the day!

The brunch menu never fails! Avocado smash is a long time favourite, and the new French toast is one of the best I’ve ever had! It’s not too sweet, and the addition of the aged cheddar makes it stand out. Lots of great coffee and drink options too!

This weekend, I had the absolute pleasure to enjoy brunch at the Where I Thrive Cafe. As someone who loves the fitness classes at Where I Thrive, I was absolutely stoked to try their new specialty brunch menu, served exclusively on Saturdays & Sundays. I decided to order the French toast for brunch, along side an iced americano. When I first sat down in the cafe, I couldn't help but admire the atmosphere. The cafe is rather large but felt cordial and had a sense of intimacy and warmth. Although completely full, I truly didn't feel as though. The cafe is very notably clean and fresh. The staff are so friendly and kind and seem to work so incredibly hard. Then when I was served the French toast, it was plated so beautifully with attention to detail. I didn't want to ruin it! As I took my first few bites I thought it was absolutely delicious. Every element served on that plate was made from scratch by the WIT cafe staff. My overall experience was delightful. I am so excited to try the rest of their menu!

OMG this little cafe is the BEST EVER! I spontaneously found it due to trying to escape a thunderstorm as I was biking home! Super friendly, sweetest staff, cutest lounging area, and most delicious coffee and baked goods! They even have vegan options! I got a super moist brownie (probably one of the best I ever had) and delicious cappuccino (hard to find a good one here in Ottawa after living in Italy)! Homemade bread was also amazing :) The best part of the visit was definitely the warm, welcoming ladies who served me behind the counter. Very kind, welcoming and friendly and made me feel at home! Thank you Sofia, Gianna, Maria... and Eva for the personal tour of the fitness studios! Thanks for a great experience - I look forward to coming back soon! xx

I am so happy I found The Daily Method. The customer service is extraordinary and the sense of community is a wonderful bonus. I love that in a one hour barre class I get a full body workout. In less than three months I have noticed changes in my body . I feel stronger, leaner and with a stronger core I no longer experience chronic hip issues. Joining TDM has been a positive life changing decision.

I only went here for a coffee and I really liked the concept of the space! Everyone is so friendly and place has great vibes overall. The coffee is strong and delicious - the iced oat milk latte was delicious, and the prices are great too.

Hands down the best spin and barre studio in the city! No I haven't been to all Ottawa studios, but there's really no need to go anywhere else. I am so impressed with the servicescape, the intensity of the workouts, the teachers, and the friendly community found at the Dailey Method!

Where I Thrive is hands down the best fitness community I’ve ever been a part of. The dedicated teachers and staff go above and beyond to make this space feel like everyone’s “happy place”, because that’s exactly what it is! Incredible classes and the most welcoming and supportive community. There’s nothing better than grabbing a coffee or enjoying brunch (and a mimosa!🥂) after a great workout, with the sun pouring into the beautiful cafe. The WIT team has thought of everything! Delicious coffee, smoothies, fresh baked treats and an incredible brunch menu - there’s something for everybody!

I am so happy I decided to join the TDM community two years ago! The thought of a barre studio used to intimidate me, but this gym is anything but intimidating. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, you really feel like you are part of a community. The teachers are amazing and no matter how long you have been going to classes, you will still feel sore after each time you visit! I have noticed positive changes in my body and mental health since I started here. Highly recommend!! :)

I feel welcome from the moment I arrive at TDM Ottawa to the moment I leave: friendly and efficient front desk staff, amazing teachers (who always focus on technique so I know I’m exercising safely), and a supportive community. Love you guys!

I cannot recommend TDM Ottawa highly enough. I discovered the studio 10 months ago on a whim, and warily went to my first class with a fair amount of trepidation, having never so much as lifted a weight, attended a gym, or sat on a spinning bike in 38 years. I have not looked back since. So grateful to have stumbled upon such a special community with friendly and talented teachers and staff; a genuinely welcoming, unpretentious environment; and a safe, fun, and killer workout. I love the balance of barre, interval, and spin classes, and honestly never thought getting and staying in shape could be so enjoyable. The positive effects of committing to a fitness routine at TDM continue to radiate far beyond the studio into all areas of my life, and I cannot think of a better way to invest in self-care. Plus, they play Robyn.

Its a personalized experienced like no other! Its a great atmosphere where people remember your name and I look forward to walking into the studio for my workouts every single time! The staff is professional and always willing to help! The Barre workouts have changed me inside and out! They have helped me challenge my mind and my body to a whole new level. All the instructors are very passionate, full of energy and a ton of fun! It has been an ongoing rewarding experience all round! If you are looking to try something different where you combine Fat burning, full body toning, cardio and lengthening those muscles-This is it! It is the perfect combination!

Look forward to working out! After years of trying many activities, making resolutions and bookmarking exercises I never got to, The Dailey Method has been a game changer. With a variety of classes on offer, there are many options to choose from. Most of all, feel good working out with a community of likeminded people, supported by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Being active has become an integral part of my life because I found TDM Ottawa. Love every moment at the studio!

I love this place. I mainly do spin since it's a great form of stress-relief for me - the instructors are all so wonderful. The majority of classes I attend are taught by Haley, Jen, and Ali and I absolutely LOVE their classes. I don't live or work anywhere near TDM but those three instructors make it well worth the travel for me. Everyone who works here is so nice and welcoming and I would recommend it to anyone.

The Dailey Method is a great and challenging workout that respects my body. It attracts wonderful people, has a welcoming energy and is open to all body types. It has created a vibrant community of individuals who share a similar outlook on active living - be mindful about respecting you body, work hard, and think about how physical health and mental health can work together to uplift each aspect.

This is the best boutique café in the Glebe because of the loving and inclusive owners. They are fantastic at making everyone feel comfortable and they accommodate all patrons to the best of their abilities.

  • 5/5 Dorothy W. 5 years ago on Google
I've been exercising at the Dailey Method for about two years now. I did not want to go to a gym, which I had tried many times before, and a personal trainer was too expensive. I have found that the Dailey Method provides a wonderful full workout in an hour. The staff are invariably engaging, helpful and knowledgeable, whether leading a class or at the reception desk. They love what they do, believe in the method and share their enthusiasm with clients. The owners are always looking for ways to improve and offer a greater variety of experiences. There is something for everyone here.

This past Sunday I joined a Where I Thrive Barre class for the first time. There was no charge for this class as they were asking that we instead make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross for the the war in Ukraine. After a great workout it was such a lovely treat to have brunch at the Cafe. The cafe was humming with conversation and people happy to be out and socializing again. Strangers were saying hello to one another and I honestly felt like I was with my family! It was a busy morning but the food came quickly and was so delicious!! Even though it was busy there was no feeling of having to hurry up and leave. Where I Thrive is a great place to participate in workout classes ie yoga, barre, spin. It is very clean and the staff are all so friendly and welcoming! They definitely have a personal touch!

Nice place, good coffee. Went there on Satuday afternoon, there were 5 of us but only one employee in the whole place, there were other customers too. The barista did her best, no complaints there but took a while to get all orders ready, had to ask for a redo since the coffee was cold. There were used cups and plates all over the counter as one person couldn't do it all. Would be more efficient if there was 2 people working, one on cash and cleanup and the other one on the coffee machine.

An absolutely gorgeous space in the heart of Ottawa that offers delicious coffee and treats, excellent workouts (barre, yoga, spin, and strength classes - virtual and in person), and community above all else. Highly recommend for anyone in need of a pick-me-up, especially during these crazy times.

I did the two weeks intro to try all the different classes, and had a few things from the WIT Cafe too. It was fabulous! I highly recommend this gym with very friendly staff and a super nice concept. Will come back if I am back in Ottawa, thank you for your great classes😊

(Disclaimer- I am a brand ambassador for Where I Thrive) As a local Ottawa blogger, I get asked ask to join fitness centres all the time, but I have made a conscious decision to only represent WIT because it is truly the best. I am not a very active person by nature, but WIT has changed me in my core. The barre, training and cycle classes are incredible! Every class consists of awesome music, movements that are safe for your spine and alignment. The staff is friendly and they know you by name! The new cafe and mini boutique complete the entire space and makes it a community that you want to be a part of. WIT also uses an awesome booking app that helps you plan your fitness classes and keep track of your attendance! I 100% would recommend! Do the 2 week trial, and I promise you'll want to join. The memberships sell themselves.

Quality coffee, fresh food, clean beautiful space and friendly staff! AND most of their food is made in-house, from the cookies down to the sauces and jams!

I have been consistently training to improve my strength, cardio, flexibility, and much more for well over 20 years now (mostly at gyms, or through various sports). A few years ago, I lost motivation to continue training, for various reasons. Once I joined Thrive, I instantly felt motivated to get back into shape, participating in exercise classes I had never tried before, and seeing results much faster than expected. I love how an hour out of my day (usually for spin class) makes me feel so much better. The café is an added bonus for me, as I love to relax after class with a coffee and a snack (made in-house...Breakfast Pretzel sandwich is amazing!). If I go to a later class, I stay for a beer or glass of wine :) I love the club, I love the ease of booking classes (awesome APP), I love the staff, and I love the exceptional training and motivation I receive. This really is a unique and caring neighbourhood fitness club, that delivers results. Keep up the great work!

Such a beautiful spot with a great vibe. Coffee is fantastic, the space is bright and uplifting, and the staff are great. My partner loves the barre classes and we are always happy when we walk in here. It’s really a gem.

Wonderful, welcoming staff. Lovely environment. Offer a wide variety of levels and lots of help to get started if you have not been active for a while. A excellent facility for both younger and older individuals looking to improve their activity level and sense of well being. I have just completed my first year as a member and am very pleased and excited about the progress I have made.

    I. LOVE. THIS. STUDIO. Nowhere else in Ottawa will you get the level of quality for barre exercise than at W.I.T. I’ve been going for 2 years now and it has made all the difference. Sarah and Jamie run a tight ship, and their detail orientation and focus on customer service, the superb teachers and staff they hire make it the best exercise studio I’ve been to. I have tried everything and so many different gyms and studios. W.I.T. is the ONLY place that I have ever been able to commit to for this long and go regularly. I honestly look forward to every barre class rather than dread having to get myself out for exercising like I used to.I love it so much that sometimes I would take 3 classes in a day. And you can do that without injury, which is crazy, because let me tell you, the teachers are incredible and the classes are challenging. But, you can push yourself with barre at Thrive because the way that they teach builds strength and flexibility, with a focus on body alignment and balance that is gentle on joints and back. The teachers constantly cue for body alignment and weight distribution so that you avoid injury. And I am the biggest fan of the teachers and staff. If they were a rock band, I would be a groupie. The people here are fantastic I look forward to chatting and saying hello to them. I had a 3 month hiatus over the summer because of COVID and homeschooling. I’m finally back, and I cannot describe how GOOD it feels. My husband had some reservations about exposure, especially since one of our kids is prone to respiratory issues. But they have taken exceptional care to minimize the potential for transmission, and they keep things very clean and have clear routines for clients to follow to maintain best hygienic practices. I feel very comfortable going to class here. Would I recommend everyone to go to this studio. If I haven’t been clear above, let me just say YES! You will love it.

This place is awesome. It’s all about service and product quality. This means that not only is it clean (thumbs up from my inner germaphobe), it’s spacious and the aesthetic is elegant without being uncomfortable and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The seating and the tables are sooo comfortable and unlike other local cafés, there is enough room so that you’re not crammed shoulder to shoulder with the stranger next to you. And there is WiFi, which is awesome because café morala and the café with the donut sign don’t have it and it’s necessary when you want to work. There is beautiful light so you don’t feel like you’re in a cave. The coffee is EXCELLENT. They use an artisan brand that makes small batches with TLC. The food is really good, fresh and healthy without losing tastiness. Also, can I just say, the wine is CHAMPION. They have someone who really knows what they are choosing because, let me tell you, most restaurants and certainly not cafés offer wine this agreeable to drink. And I’m picky, given that I grew up in the wine making region of Northern California and have been drinking the good stuff since I was a kid, took wine making courses at university and have a French father in-law who spends hours on excel files listing his wine collection. So, seriously check out the happy hour, it would be hard to beat their small but QUALITY offerings in beer and wine. I also take exercise classes which I LUUUUV. My bum is so much perkier, no joke, the middle age sag was in full force until I decided to do barre. My body is more toned, my abs are always sore —which means they are moving in the opposite direction from the convex! Yeah! I no longer have lower back pain and the feeling of being healthy, having a daily energy boost from exercise that actually makes you feel happy (unlike running for me) is addictive. It’s also amazing how the staff all know who you are. The staff is growing so there are new faces, but they are great about knowing who is in class or not. I’ve become sort of lazy about checking myself in for class because they are so good at checking me in. Such lovely, helpful people work here. Also, they have this incredible weight training area and the classes look like they kick your butt into serious shape. The teachers are consistently awesome and I can’t say enough good things. I love barre but there are die-hard cyclers and the classes are really fun. Seriously, check this place out. It is terrific.

Sarah and Jamie (the owners) are the friendliest people in the world and make you feel like you're hanging out at your friends house, while also making your muscles quiver with exhaustion. ANd now you can go reward yourself with some absolutely delicious pretzels afterwards too.

This studio is spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and is by far the nicest one I’ve seen in Ottawa. I was taking barre classes at The Daily Method when owners Sarah Thompson and husband Jamie decided to create their own studio and brand. Where I Thrive classes and teachers are great. I am a convert to the barre method and I feel like my workouts are even more challenging and interesting than before. Sarah has successfully kept the best of barre while making the exercise method her own and I have consistently been challenged without injury. The lack of injury is key and it has to do with studio’s focus on proper body alignement. This is what I like most about barre and this focus on alignement completely enhances the exercise sequences. What always amazes me is how challenging very small movements are when your body is properly aligned. I had chronic back pain but after a year of barre, I haven’t had an issue. My body is stronger, leaner, more flexible and I feel great. I’m pretty much addicted to that feeling. I have never found exercising fun but barre has changed that. Also there is a very nice group of people running the studio. The owners and staff are attentive to client needs and make sure that the space is respectful and considerate of everyone. The café is a really pleasant work space, the coffee is good, my favourite baked offering is the breakfast cookie (delicious and healthy-and believe me, I’m a tough sell) and the seating is really comfortable. I would highly recommend checking out the café and doing a two-week trial. You will get hooked.

TDM studio staff are warm and welcoming, the instructors attentive and encouraging and the classes are making me feel stronger. The good vibe of the studio is also reflected in the other members who are friendlier than at other gyms I’ve been to. A great experience!
