Drew has helped me tremendously over the past 6 months. I underwent a spinal fusion surgery in October and have been going to physio since Feb 2022. Drew is an absolute delight to work out with, knowledgeable, kind, motivating and we always have great chats and laughs during my sessions. He catered each session exactly to what I needed at the time. The in-water physio really helped me get started and now I'm on land doing more and more each time. The warm water really relaxes your muscles and helps you feel lighter while you do the exercises. I'm not sure I would have been able to start off on land right away. I highly recommend Drew and Liquid gym for any issues or recovery. There's no place in the city like this, and nobody quite like Drew either! I feel strong, flexible, and so happy that I've invested in myself here. This place is a hidden gem in our city.

After trying out at least 10 other Physio places over the years, this is by far the best. Sebastian is super knowledgeable and they spend that 1 on 1 time with you to get you better!

I am so grateful that LiquidGym exists. I am blown away not only with the progress my ankle has made while at LiquidGym, but also by the support and care I received. The front desk and support staff are warm, friendly, and helpful. The therapists are knowledgable and masters at what they do, and the owners care deeply about your progress and success. You feel like the whole team is there for you every step of the way. And it doesn't stop there. The equipment is top of the line. Using the Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill has been a game changer for me, allowing me to correct my gait and to gain strength. The hydrotherapy approach was a gentle way for me to overcome fear, as well as to address major instability and functional limitations. I am an avid outdoor enthusiast, and I am confident that LiquidGym will help me get back to doing all of the things that I love to do.

Well maintained facility with some very interesting underwater (in the water?) exercise equipment. Friendly, well educated and helpful staff. I've enjoyed a few sessions in the Liquid Gym pools using their unique treadmills. While the machinery is the same basic concept, it is nothing at all like using a normal treadmill. The water resistance, plus one's own buoyancy allow for unique moves (like "crabbing") that could not be done safely with a regular treadmill. Combine this with the water jet, especially when walking backwards (another "impossible move" for a normal treadmill), and it makes for an excellent all-over workout session. Doing these exercises in the water takes a lot of weight off the legs and feet, allowing one to focus on the movement instead of just strength and balance. I would highly recommend that you go check them out!

I really like Liquid Gym. I have been working with LIndsay for over a year during my recovery from a broken shoulder and back and hip issues. Ihave made tremendous progress during this time . I find that the option of pool, land and virtual is great as it gives me many options. Lindsay is continually expanding the exercises program and my strength, balance and agility has improved amazingly. i find all the staff at Liquid Gym to be friendly and helpful.

I’ve been going to LiquidGym for well over five years now, probably closer to seven, to reap the benefits of hydrotherapy for my fibromyalgia as well as strengthening following three (yes three) hip replacement surgeries. The staff are all wonderful and friendly and the therapists are very knowledgeable and personable.

I suffered a comminuted tibial plateau fracture following a bicycle crash and now have 3 plates in my leg and a dozen screws. LiquidGym was instrumental in helping me regain functional knee flexion and relearn how to walk properly. LiquidGym ultimately helped me to avoid subsequent arthroscopic surgery and manipulation under anesthesia. Thank you so much!

Love this place. I highly recommend it! The staff is so welcoming and very knowledgeable! Took physio for my RA and I'm happy to say I'm in remission for almost 5 months now! The water treadmills and water bikes are an excellent way to get in shape. Good Summer sale on right now until the end if June. Be sure to take advantage of it!

I have been going to LiquidGym since they opened in 2013 – training as a member, physiotherapy, massage and therapy/training sessions with a kinesiologist – to help manage my MS and keep me moving and active the best that I can. I cannot say enough good things about LG. The staff are always pleasant, highly professional, resourceful, supportive and take a sincere interest in the care and wellbeing of the members/clients. LiquidGym works tirelessly to stay ahead of the curve with state of the art equipment and resources that allows staff to treat the core issues and create a program and environment that is effective, enjoyable and suited to the needs of the client. Equipment such as the anti-gravity AlterG treadmill, the underwater treadmills, therapy pools, endless pool...allow you to do activities, sport and therapy/rehab that you’d never try or be able to do normally. LiquidGym is a local and national leader in their field and the community. If you are thinking about coming for rehab, therapy or simply to train – please do it and try LG – trust me you won’t regret it. No matter how I may be feeling going into LiquidGym...I always feel way better when I leave.

I have only been for a few hydrotherapy sessions and am already seeing an improvement in my range of motion and endurance! It was really important for me to find a facility that would work with my needs and Liquid Gym’s mix of land and hydro therapy did just that. Drew is very knowledgeable and professional and has been a pleasure to work with. If you suffer from long covid, chronic illness, or injury this is the place for you!

First of all due thanks for Ms.Ruth for her great efforts in making me comfortable and feeling well after sessions. Secondly, the facility is well equipped with high tecniques of water therapy and experienced instructors. Finally, the one star review goes for the reception especially Kim fryer she treated me in bad way rude and bad behaviour nothing but an act full of discrimination, she accused me to put a perfum although I told her that I do know the regulations of facility since it is my 4th or even 5th session but she insisted that she had to call 911 because there was an allergy case and it is because of me. Ofcourse nobody showed as she said she called 911 , because my cousin was parking outside for almost one hour and nobody came. So it is a lie. Shame on you to treat someone like this. It is better to deal with persons just as human beings. When I had my 6th session the receptionist asked me if it is my last session!!! And I said YES based on how they treated me. I will send an email to the owner and I will explain what she put me through. I am a diabetic person with asthma history how did she accuse me of putting perfume? I felt terrible after the way she treated me and I was sad for four days. I hated going back to the gym for my last session but I had to complete my therapy and end it because of such person!!! Even I had high blood pressure for two days and numbness In all my body, my psychological state was down as a result of how she treated me.

1st time using water therapy as physio , recouping from Knee replacement surgery, that had a few medical complications along the way. The staff is very friendly & helpful. I am so impressed the progress & the strength changes I see week after week, I was able to work harder in pool environment with ease & comfort. Doing the physio in the pool allowed for an easier recovery period compared to my other knee replacement 2 years ago where I did dry land physio.

Excellent physio in warm pools of water. Using treadmills, stationary bikes, weights and more in the water develops strength & mobility using the buoyancy of the water. Have been going to physio here twice a week for over two months. A few months ago I could not walk without pain & lived on painkillers. Have arthritis in knee & worn out cartilage. I walk a lot daily now & rarely have pain. Will only have knee replacement surgery as a last resort. Gavin is an excellent physiotherapist who understands what is needed to develop strength & mobility. Physiotherapy in water is incredible & it works! I highly recommend Liquid Gym to anyone needing physio for any reason.

The Liquid Gym has provided me with excellent rehab and personal training. Physiotherapy can take place in the therapy pools or in the two separate gym areas with their specialty equipment. The Physiotherapists, Personal Trainers and all other Liquid Gym staff are personable, professional and friendly and they all try to get to know you. I’m very pleased with the therapy I have received and look forward to when group therapy sessions can start up again. Thank you Liquid Gym. The 5 stars are well deserved.

I was fortunate to hear about Liquid Gym from friend who had positive things to say about her own recovery. My experience has also been positive and I've made tremendous progress recovering from a shoulder injury since coming to Liquid Gym. The ability to conduct my treatments in the water has sped up my recovery. It's amazing the increased range of motion in the water vs land. The online booking system is easy to use and my physiotherapist has been fantastic and has provided me with a clear understanding of the steps required for a full recovery. Highly recommend.

Liquid Gym has helped me prepare for a hip replacement, then strengthening in following months, using both the pool and land, I know that all the personal training and encouragement has been insrumental in regaining my strength to resume my regular daily activites. The knowledge, kindness and friendiness of staff makes these appointments an added pleasure.

My husband began attending for physio after he fractured his spine. The physio was amazing, and the physiotherapist was with him 100% of the time while he attended his appointment. Immediately we saw significant improvement. He then began taking Kinesiology weekly and again, we saw huge improvement. After being in a body brace for 5 months, he then needed to build up his strength again. He began water treadmill sessions and they have been amazing. I as well started just the treadmill program and in 10 weeks have lost 30 pounds! This facility is the best for anyone, injury or not!

After being thrown off the roof of a shed by a tornado, my husband was hospitalized in critical condition. He recovered from the trauma and was sent home with a walker. His recovery continues with physio at the liquid gym and he has made excellent progress. He enjoys his exercises in the warm water and was surprised at how much easier it is than on land. I enjoy accompanying him and exercising on a treadmill or working on the communal puzzle. Both are stress relievers. We couldn't be happier!

First, I am one who believes you must have complete understanding and establish a connection with any type of medical professional and if not satisfied within 1-3 visits when it comes to professional services like this I change providers! That certainly has not been the case with Liquid Gym, I have been going there for close to 3 years now for Physio and Kinesiology treatment. Not only can you have these therapies done in a "Warm pool" from which the benefits of water therapy need little explanation, but their Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists and other training staff are top notch. Due to other commitments, I have unfortunately had to miss treatment for a few months at a time, but the patience and understanding of my particular (Kinesiologist-Kristen Sarlo) and (Physiotherapist-Emma Lis), other than a little initial stiffness of course makes the restart very easy and quickly back on the path to the overall goal. I do not know how all of the staff who work in the front remember our names so fast and I have never experienced one of them having a lapse in customer service type of day. They are caring, always have a smile on their face and are always on top of things there, or email/phone reminders and other info. Liquid Gym seems to be a one of kind place with the therapy and exercise pools alone, but they also boast many other types of specialized equipment to aid in the recovery and wellbeing of their patients. There are many other places I could drive to, a lot less than the 85 km round trip but I would not and do not want to; I choose Liquid Gym!

I went to liquid gym for post surgery recovery and it was such a good experience compared to other physiotherapy clinics I've tried previously. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Have had nothing but positive and excellent experience here. In prep for a total hip replacement I worked with Lindsay (PT) and again after my surgery. Her knowledge, understanding, support and excellent communication made a world of difference and empowered me (physically & mentally) to prep and recover from my surgery with huge success. 10 mos post surgery, I engaged with Sam (KT) to take things to the next level and do training to build strength. Again, he was fantastic. Encouraging and easy to work with, Sam kept the sessions challenging and interesting so it wasn't repetitive and he listened to what I wanted to accomplish. A+ all around!

Amazing staff, clean facility, personable receptionist who greets by names. Brendan the physiotherapist is extremely knowledgeable. Grateful I went to him, he changed the quality of my life after a knee surgery, and where everyone told me I won’t be able to go back to my previous activities, he managed to make me walk again, exercise etc…

Will never do physio without a pool again! Much better workout and faster results I can feel every day! Staff is superb all around, the technology post therapy is awesome- everyday you have email reminders for your exercises- all exercise are demo and include how many reps/sets to do and u can provide feedback on them for your team to review -they send apt reminders via text or mail. The facilities are spotless - double labrum tears and I can now walk without pain and farther than before … and save $$$ Tylenol lol

Liquidgym is providing me with vesticular physio since February 2021 for vertigo symptoms ongoing. They are a very clean, organized and follow strict rules during the covid pandemic. Drew has provided me with deep massage therapy and home stretches and exercises daily. We started to do water exercises, on treadmill forwards and backwards, paddle exercises to use the water for resistance. At present we have decided to do 2 land and 1 water physio for now. The water exercises increase my pain alot. Very tired after. Drew is very professional, knowledgeable and respectful physiotherapist. I would recommend liquidgym for any rehabilitation care. The only negative side is doing the personal physical assessment on line is alittle frustrating but l just called liquidgym and they helped me navigate through. Thank you Anna

Wow! Great experience with LiquidGym. The front staff are helpful and friendly. The facility is clean and Covid safe. Living with a chronic injury has been a difficult situation, but my time at LiquidGym has made it possible to continue participating in activities of my life that I thought I couldn't do anymore. My physiotherapist Gavin Parsons, has been able to help me improve my flexibility, range of motion and significantly reduce my pain, while offering physiotherapy services in and out of the water. If you are looking for low impact or water based physiotherapy and exercise program in the Ottawa area, this is the place to be.

I am so grateful for the physiotherapy that I received at Liquid Gym post shoulder surgery and meniscus tear, after a traumatic experience in another clinic. In addition to having great dry land facilities, LiquidGym provides a rare space in Ottawa to rehabilitate in warm water. The fact that LiquidGym offers both dry and wet therapies reflects their sincere commitment to up to date therapeutic treatments that speed up recovery safely. The therapist I've had the good fortune of working with, Drew, is not a mere mechanic but a healer. He spends the full session working with the patient rather than hooking them up to a machine. He showed concern and care, and answered all my questions with thorough knowledge as well as encouragement. I truly appreciated this and can say that his efforts and exercise protocole got me through a very challenging time. The staff at LiquidGym are very professional and kind, sending e-reminders and receipts promptly. I strongly recommend LiquidGym.

I've been going to LiquidGym for three or four years or so -- it's hard to keep track because time flies when you're hafvng fun, as they say! LiquidGym is just a great place for people of all abilities and interests to access services that will optimize your health, strength, ability, mobility and more. I have used several services and types of exercise facilities there, including physiotherapy (in the pool and on dry land), personal training (in the pool and on dry land), swimming and workouts in the Endless Pool, and massage. The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and very well qualified in their respective areas of expertise. The facility is completely accessible to persons with a disability. Rules and guidelines for facility use are clear, easily available and adapt to changing conditions -- for example, the pandemic. The facilities are clean and it's just a pleasure to be there. Right now, I am engaged in weekly personal training sessions with Dan. I am really enjoying it! It is such a great change from just exercising at home. Dan changes up the workouts every week. He is also fun and encouraging,. Over the years, I have recommended LiquidGym to many people. I have talked with fellow users who love it and gain tremendous benefits from going there. I can't recommend it too enthusiastically. Give it a try!

LiquidGym has been a lifesaver in recovery from severe lower back pain. The physios have been very helpful in a regimen of in water exercises that have taken me from walker to walking. Such a special place in Ottawa. Hopefully normal operations will return after COVID that will allow use of underwater treadmills to be used for additional underwater exercises. Staff is very helpful which makes it a pleasant time at every visit.

I have been a member and client of Liquid Gym Ottawa since it opened a little over 8 years ago. After having both knees replaced due to overweight and significant osteoarthritis, I started exercise classes in the pool, both on the bike and the treadmill. I never imagined I could actually run, especially on a treadmill. Working in the water was also instrumental in getting me back riding my bike outside. Like a “one-stop-shop” I was able to take advantage of physiotherapy services when required for shoulder, back and neck pain. With pain no longer a barrier to working out, I graduated to TRX, (Total Body Resistance) exercise classes, building strength and flexibility. To this day, I continue with trainer Sherry for personal training twice a week, following all required safety and pandemic protocols. Sherry knows my history and just what I need to work on, making use of weights or any of the other equipment available for use on land. Sessions are always varied between strength, cardio and balance, with explanations so I know what muscle groups I should be feeling and how I am progressing. I wish to sincerely thank all the Liquid Gym staff for being an important part of my search for a healthier life. I always leave the building feeling better and happier than when I came in, which says a lot in these challenging times.

The perfect facility to rehab from injuries, surgeries or and to stave off the muscle wasting that accompanies chronic disease. I have an autoimmune disease that flares easily with exercise and I have lipedema in all my limbs. The gentle water exercise doesn't flare my autoimmune, and the weightlessness of my limbs in the water allows the edema to drain.

Before the liquidgym I had no idea how to get back on track and had consulted many physiotherapists after a car accident. I'm an athlete so I didn't need a constant reminder of basic moves that are given to all patients, I needed someone to teach me new methods with a plan made just for me. LiquidGym's innovative approach and constant physiotherapists training show in their patients results. The variety of machines under water (bikes, treadmills, trampoline, aquatonics, and much more) and out of water (all regular gym equipment, no pressure treadmill, ropes and so much more) really make it fun. Honestly I owe them so much, they gave me the confidence to get back to my healthy routines, thank you immensely to the entire team at Liquidgym.

This is a great full service facility. In addition to normal physio dryland equipment they have a number of in water training equipment stations to use to assist with weight bearing balance issues.

Finding Liquid Gym has had such a positive effect on my road towards the best quality of life as possible. I feel fortunate that I was paired up with Kristen, who has been such an important factor in both her physical treatment of my injuries, and her extensive experience and knowledge of guiding me through what will be a long term treatment plan. With the various fitness tools available at Liquid Gym, I feel confident that my health will continue to improve through their personalized care.

I have been going to LiquidGym for 6 months now in order to deal with joint issues and to improve my mobility and core strength after a fall last winter. I have been to other physiotherapy clinics over the years but none have resulted in the improvements I see/feel from working with my physiotherapist Gavin Parsons. Unlike conventional physio clinics, the water therapy is a whole body treatment even though the session has a specific focus on a particular joint/issue. I can't believe the improvement, including pain reduction, I've had since I began going to the LiquidGym. I wish I had known about this facility when I had my total knee replacement 4 years ago. It would have been a much faster and perhaps easier recovery! I have recommended LiquidGym to friends/family. The Team is very friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to my biweekly sessions. They make it fun to workout!

I have recommended LiquidGym to family and friends. The staff here is friendly and professional. I appreciate the personalised care that went into planning my therapy sessions. The pool was never overcrowded...suggestion a swimsuit spinner in the changeroom ;)

Front desk was amazing, friendly and kind. I was excited to try this type of therapy but I didn’t feel listened to when I said I was in pain while doing the treadmill in water. I know therapy can hurt a bit but then you feel better, I felt worse and would take days to recover. I felt I had lots of questions but felt dismissed. I’m glad it has worked for others, it wasn’t the right fit for me. The front desk alone would receive 5 stars.

😠 Gym has gone way downhill since it first opened. Many machines are in disrepair, the televisions are frequently down, the paper towel dispensers are frequently empty (in the main room as well as in the girl’s bathroom), and the AC system is very poor, especially on the hot summer days when it matter...

😠 The facilities themselves are nice. Lots of equipment and good variety. Staff however are terrible. They could not care less if they tried. Constantly 3-4 staff just sitting at the front desk doing nothing. Movati claims to have a club atmosphere which is a total lie. No rules are enforced, people...
