This place is great. Amazing service. In particular their grooming service is top notch for an affordable price. The groomers that were there when I took my Goldendoodle were amazing. He is a big boy and they took the time to make him look great. Will be continuing to take my big boy there.

I brought my Bernese Mountain Dog last week and had the best experience. I have been looking for a good groomer that would be patient enough for my dog to enjoy it as much as possible. Morgan was the groomer and did an amazing job; seriously haven't had my dog smell this good from any other place. His haircut is great and he had a big smile on his face the whole time. What else can you ask for? I highly recommend her and will be coming back regularly!!!!!!

At first, I thought this place was great, pretty friendly staff with a lot of good advice to give. Problem is that they have contradicted their own advice in order to sell me things on two separate occasions. They upsold me on a brand of food, next time I was there, they told me that it was entirely the wrong food for him and I should buy an even more expensive one. Next time, they had assured me that beef liver treats were the best you could get for training, the next time, they insisted that I had to get the lung based treats. There is zero consistency and you can tell that they just want to make extra money even if it means your pet getting the wrong food or treats. Unacceptable. They never have time for walk ins for nail cutting even when the place is empty. You can tell that in this situation, they simply don't want to do anything. I'm afraid that this place has gone way downhill since I used to take my friends dog there years ago. I love to support local business but this place gets one star unfortunately.

I've been bringing my dog here for years and have always been satisfied with the service. Unfortunately, lately, not so much. My dog has always been on the skinnier side. He's always been healthy/active up until recently. He is now 15 years old and slightly skinnier than he used to be. I brought him in for grooming and was called an hour later stating the groomer was uncomfortable grooming him due to his size and stated I would not be charged full price. Fine. When I arrived for pick up, it was mentioned to me by an employee that I should be feeding my dog a higher fat content food. My dog has recently been diagnosed with a heart condition and is on vet prescribed food and meds. A higher fat content food would likely kill him. I was taken aback by how someone who is not a professional in the field was giving me advice on caring for a dog I've had for 15 years. On a separate occasion, I came to the store for pet food and that same employee followed me around the store without really saying anything. I felt as if he thought I was going to steal something. My partner also mentioned he felt uncomfortable. We got our food and left. After many years of frequenting this establishment, I unfortunately do not think I will be returning...

Great owner, staff, service and prices

Brought my pet here for a grooming, was charged extra for matted fur as expected (the dog was just spayed and couldn't be washed or brushed until healed). They stopped after shaving her down without clipping her nails or cleaning her ears despite paying for a full clean will be switching to other businesses if I wanted a shoddy job I wouldn't pay for professional grooming.

The staff is remarkable, friendly, knowledgeable always available to help you, and always have fun. The natural and some human grade food products is very important to me. The store is clean, offers many many food, treats and health supplements for ongoing health for your pet.........13 years of loyal service ....will never consider any other pet store.........The staff and the quality of the products are key for my pets ongoing health. I started going to this pet store about a year and a half ago after getting my aussiedoodle. Had a period of time where she was fussy with food and when I went into the store to ask for advice, the amazing guy working that day spent at least 20 minutes with me going over all the food I could give her explaining the plus and negatives of all the food. I was blown away at the knowledge he had and how much he cared about what I was giving my dog. I also starting getting Charlie groomed at Pampered pet by Mimi and I absolutely love her and she is so great with my dog. I would recommend this pet store any day!

Just tried to go. Hours on the door show 8-9 on monday. It was 10:30, the door was locked. Walked around, came back 10:45, still locked. Noone answered the phone, there was no note nowhere of "back in ... minutes", or "back at (time)". When because they advertise "walk in nail trims", but guess it's better to take an appointment..

I have been going to Colleen for years for my cats. I have tried many different groomers before I found Colleen and I will never go to another one. She is amazing, gentle and takes pride in her work. She does not rush and spends time making sure it's perfect. I highly recommend anyone who has a cat needing to be groomed!

They have a lot of knowledge about the different breads and different animals and how to Take care of them. I have never been dissatisfied or disappointed with any of their suggestions or the services. Recently re-visited this lovely family owned pet shop to pick up some dog treats and dog ear cleaner, and I had a great experience! The store is always stocked with everything I need for my puppies and more. It is also very well organized, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I also was fortunate enough to find a large beautiful stuffed toy dog on display that I inquired about for purchase, and although it was not for sale after all, the owner ended up just giving it to me which just made my day :) Definitely not something that would ever happen at a non-family owned business!

Ignore the name, this is an old account. This place is so nice to walk into to. You get greeted by friendly faces and furry ones too. I get my shih tzu, Ruby, groomed here quite frequently, and they treat her like family. I get her a bone marrow, and she absolutely loves it. Thank you for the amazing treat selection as well as the amazing service. ❤️🐶

Very rude and unaccommodating over the phone. We had an appointment for a full wash, dry and face trim and we called to say that unfortunately we would have to be 10 minutes late. We were told that we could not come to our appointment. We asked to please skip the wash and dry and just get the face trim and were very rudely told no that they would not even do the quick face trim. Luckily we found a groomer at Purdy Paws who accommodated us same day for a 10 minute face trim without an appointment and we did the wash and dry ourselves at pet value rather than rebook with such unfriendly people.

I love this place. They are so patient and gentle with my little dog when she goes in for a grooming. Allie is top notch. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with food and treat selections too. They always seem so chipper. :)

Wonderful and friendly groomers here. The woman with pink hair that cut my dog's nails did so very well and quick. She even filed the down the curled nails my dog has and told me how to do it myself for if I wanted to do it at home. I definitely recommend coming here for all grooming needs, especially for quick and professional nail cuts!

Great experience getting my golden retriever groomed. Molly is 2 1/2 and this was her first time getting groomed so she was very nervous and is a nervous dog to begin with. The groomer was so great with her and knew how to deal with her. Great store and lovely people. Highly recommend

I brought my puppy for grooming based on recommendations from friends and I was delighted with the grooming that Eden did. She trimmed him beautifully and even called to ask about grooming his tail. She is now my go-to groomer. I highly recommend her!!

I’ve taken my dog, Charlie to this location for grooming, nail trims and for products the past 5 years or so and I can’t recommend them enough! My little guy was blind and nervous when I would leave him there but I know they made the experience as easy and smooth as they could for him. I was never worried about him when he was in their care, I knew he was in good hands. The staff and groomers are so kind and easy to talk to. You can really tell they care about you and your fur babies. I never had a preference in groomers here just because they’re all amazing in their own ways and I appreciate each and every one of them. Sadly my little guy is no longer with us, but when we were struggling to get him to eat, Ashley (I believe the owner) was so incredibly amazing to us and helped up so much I’ll never forget that! Thank you so much Pampered Pet!

There’s this one cutie named Sarah I think that works there and she got my dog hooked on the PetKind dog food. I get my dog groomed here often too and they always do a fantastic job. Will always be returning !!!

I took my puppy here because they offered a “sani” package which seemed like a great deal. When I arrived it felt a bit chaotic and the women who was going to handle my dog seemed overwhelmed. I did not get a good feeling off of her but I nonetheless sent my puppy in with her. I was told it would take about 20 minutes so when she appeared 5 minutes later, I was surprised to see her. Frantic she told me that my puppy was “EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE”- her exact words to describe the behaviour of my SIX POUND YORKIE!! Shocked I paid for what she claims to have done to him and walked out. My little guy was shaking and clearly impacted by whatever she subjected him to. My dog never had acted that way to a nail trim, and has never since reacted in that manner. I think it’s clear it was her unprofessional approach that spooked him. NEVER will I EVER return to that place!! If they can’t handle small dogs how are they managing with the big ones??

We took our very anxious and nervous dog here to get her nails trimmed. All of the staff was pleasant, welcoming, and very empathetic and tried their best to make her feel welcome and comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be coming back.

Everyone here are SO fantastic! I’m always able to get booked in for nail trims, even same day. They also always accommodate me bringing in all 3 dogs at the same time. I highly recommend The Pampered Pet for all your furbabies’ needs!

I normally have good experiences here. My mom and I have brought our dogs here to get groomed and nail trims. I noticed my dog was in abit of pain crying when I touch her back paw. I took a deeper look and saw her nail a little curled over part of her paw pad. I called to see if we could get her nails trimmed again today because they had NOT done that nail when I went last. Which I know they cant always accommodate, however when I told him there was 1 specific nail that needed to be trimmed he suggested I bring her to the vets. Which makes no sence because it didnt actually cut her skin or anything. Super frustrated. Prior to that I called and was put on hold for over 10 minutes. Overly frustrated with the service today.

Just wanted to share how happy we are with their grooming services. They do everything from nail trims to sanitary trims to perfect shampoos, brushing and styling, customized to your specific dog and your instructions. All excellent, can’t fault anything. A big shout-out to Charli the groomer, who regularly takes on our rather nervous pup and makes him gorgeous!

Pampered pets are amazing. Maverick loves Eden all we say are we going to see Eden to get your hair cut and he is at the door. She is amazing groomer and we are never disappointed with her work.

10/10 experience. Lovely store, lovely people. Had my husky mix groomed here . My dog can be anxious/reactive, and they knew exactly how to make her comfortable. They did an amazing job - I can not remember the name of the groomer, but she was an absolute delight. My pup came out looking absolutely stunning and squeaky clean. They have very reasonable pricing as well. Would highly recommend, and we will be going back.

If I could give this less than 1 star I would! I am not one to write bad reviews for businesses but this was by the far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It is the most unorganized place I have ever experienced. The ladies messed up our appointment times not once but twice and handled it very rudely. They did not take ownership for their mistake and just asked us if we wanted to book again months in advance. I am very disappointed with how things were handled and I will never be coming back or referring pet owners to this place. Shame on you guys.

They did an excellent job with both of our poodle mix on a short notice. Plus they were able to take both dogs at the same time, which saves me lots of time. The groomers are friendly and trustworthy! They ask me alot of questions beforehand regarding the personalities and type of cut needed. They also gave me a rundown on how it went after the grooming. The prices are similar to most dog groomers in the city. I recommend 😀

Recently got a grooming done. I live not super far and walked over with the dogs and my wagon and brought home dog food. The groomers this time around and in general are extremely kind and understanding with my dogs. My dogs are very mild mannered around people and overly friendly, but loud around other dogs, not nippy just loud. They have a habit of raising the noise level in the store. The groomers and staff are always very patient with them and take them in back so i can sort at the cash and pay ect and get food ect. The dogs hadn't been professionally groomed in almost a year. I don't get them groomed any more frequently than 6 months though i get nails done when i can and touch up matting and brushing and cut when i can at home. So they were pretty messy. The groomers did an amazing job on them and really cleaned them up for Christmas. Denika and Eden were the groomers names. The wife and kids absolutely adore the cuts which is what matters most. Also the nails had gotten really bad and i was impressed with how short they got them. Also they took the liberty to wash their sweaters and which is nice :) The food at the location is also top quality. It is not cheap, but its a staple diet for a pet so i try to get what i can. I get the Pet Kind, and cycle from venison bison lamb salmon ect. Usually the green tripe or the other Pet Kind Tripe formula. They have been on it since they were puppies, and despite their obsession with eating everything and anything, i have had extremely few digestive issues. I also supplement with the Pumpkin formula they have there since puppies every few meals and they stay interested on their food. They generally don't go off their food as long as i switch up a different mix once in a while. (kibble with odd mix is the diet). Furthermore, the store is the only one in the area besides Walkley Petsmart that has insects. We have a Gecko as well for 5 or 6 years and we really appreciate the consistency with the continued supply of live food for him or her (still not sure). They carry refrigerated insects or did when he was young, and carry horns and supers and silks generally fresh on wednesday (i believe) bug delivery. By monday they are a bit sluggish. Best time to get is after delivery thursday or friday especially for horns or silks (they dont last long in captivity and need to be fed fresh). Appreciate the continued friendly service at the store and supply of pretty much everything i need for my pets close to home. Also excellent to answer questions that can't be asked by calling the vet here n there...also at one point had some knowledgeable people on reptiles but haven't asked in awhile. Top notch family owned store :) serves the community well since I have been here and known.

We’ve been going here for 4 or 5 grooms now, and recently had a new groomer named Eden. We have a Bernese Mountain Dog who gets pretty rugged. We’ve had him groomed 2 to 3 times a year for his whole life, and no one has ever done as good of a job as she did! His Paw pads are soft, his nails are cut perfectly, and he went from looking like a senior berner to a young teenager again. Cannot recommend The Pampered Pet anymore, get your dogs groomed here!

The grooming staff is okay. They hire a new older ladies with glasses brownish hair. She is very arrogant i did not like my experience at all. Why 2 star and not 1 it was fairly cheap and grooming staff was good. But customer services man... get fired

Great store. Good prices and almost always has what I'm looking for. We do tend to buy the not-so-mainstream things for our pooch, so sometimes they've ran out. It's only occasional, and worth the wait until the order comes in. The staff are very nice and know their products.

I went for the grooming reviews, but they clipped at least 3 of my dog's quicks and got really close to 2 others. The girl was really friendly and knowledgeable about their products, but I won't go back for nails.

I get my dog’s nails trimmed here. He’s about 80 lbs and very anxious/nervous so we sometimes have to put a muzzle on him but they always do a great job here and get his nails trimmed within 5 minutes! The staff has always been friendly and welcoming so I definitely recommend this place.

My wife brought our dog here for a groom. She is very much a long haired dog and had large mats that my wife had cut out of her, but she was unable to get the end of one as it was close to her ear. She didn't worry about it too much as the appointment was scheduled and we figured the professionals would be able to get it out properly. While petting our dog today, I noticed that in place of the mat is a large scab that is cratered as the mat was ripped out of her head and not removed appropriately. Needless to say the thought of our baby girl yelping in pain at the groomers by herself is incredibly disheartening and we will not be booking here again.

We’ve been coming here for 3 years, have always had amazing service and loved supporting the business, but over the last 2 months, the staff has changed and the service has been horrible. We’ve decided to go elsewhere, but I hope for the sake of other customers, they bring back the old staff.

Morgan is so amazing at what she does. If you are looking for a great groomer that you can definitely trust with your dog, Morgan is your girl! She is so patient with her doggie clients and their owners and is also very personable. She is the type of person that gets along with everyone because she’s just so sweet and genuine! Every time my dog comes back from seeing her he is so happy. I normally go to different people every appointment, but since I found her I will only take my dog to her!

not good, they always gave an uneven cut, and sent my dog home BLEEDING because they cut her nails down too far. Would NEVER recommend.

I like this place very much and is close to my home which was perfect but I have a Golden and is a Rescue and is overweight. Something we are working on but will take time. My problem with Pampered Pet is that they do not have a walk in bath/shower for the dogs so he would have to be lifted in to get bathed. Something they won't do, of course for back reasons, I totally understand but he still needs to get bathed so had to find another groomers that was equipped for him

EXCELLENT service! We had a yellow lab that was shedding excessively. They had us on a waiting list and managed to squeeze her in on a Sunday morning! (Thanks Charlie and Colleen) They gave her a special bath treatment and she came back with the most luxurious coat and no shedding!!! She feels very soft and and even her ears smell nice! Thank you to the kind and skilled staff!
