Very odd approach in how they book their appointments. They send you an email the night before to book a morning appointment the following day, and they expect you to see the email in the evening and show up the next morning! No phone call to book the appointment and for the client to pick a time that works for them with a newborn! You basically miss your chance and have to get another referral if you want to see them. Very poor service!

Inconsiderate receptionist. I spent all night in ER with my 3 days old newborn, called in the morning requesting reschedule upcoming appointment. Receptionist was least accommodating telling me that next day appointment were for emergency only and she was otherwise booked for next day, wouldn't give me appointment for next available day saying you either come in today or just forget about getting seeing by the Dr at all. I had to beg and beg, and asked if getting appointment at other location was a possibility. Honestly that option could have come from her if she wanted to help a least bit. She acts like she is so helpful but such a sham. Lactation consultant that i saw at this location was least helpful. Actually i realized a day later that she was lactation consultant coz she never talked about breastfeeding at all. I later realized its a service they supposedly provide at each visit.this location can do a lot bettter. Hire a better receptionist first.

Super grateful for this resource. Receptionist, lactation consultants, and physicians were all pleasant and very helpful. Our questions were answered and they put our minds at ease as new parents. Wish we could use this clinic for longer!

2 hour wait in a small car with a newborn. Unacceptable! This place is a joke and isn't necessary. General hospital should not push this place on patients . Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with your own family Doctor for follow up.

Dr Zhang is awesome. The clinic is very responsible in making sure the health of mother and new born is their top priority. I had a great experience at the clinic.

Terrible terrible receptionist! She has no patience to answer any questions! I'm asking to book an appointment she says that they don't book babies from Queensway and won't give me a reason why?! And won't give me guidance on finding Support for breastfeeding. If you can't handle a new mom with a couple of questions then you should not work there! We are over whelmed and need support! Terrible never call! Make sure your nurse at the hospital books everything involved with follow up appointments before you leave the hospital cuz then your on your own! Cuz the receptionist has no idea what she's doing or how to help or guide new moms. No idea why she's working there!!!!!!!!!!!!

The staff here is short tempered, rude and has a potty mouth. The way they are treating new moms is ruthless. Stay away from this clinic.

Excellent experience. The nurses and Drs were very knowledgeable and caring. They saw us the day after our discharge and the 4 times afterwards. Listened and asked questions to both my wife and I. Throughly examined my newborn and my wife. Can't recommend this place enough. Oh and parking is only 3 dollars. Cheap compared to other clinics.

Terrible customer service. They are in so much hurry that don’t want to answer your questions. No help at all. Breast pump rental is messed up. Very expensive compared to White cross dispensary. 3 times more. They recommend you to rent from them only.

The breastfeeding support I received at Monarch was beyond compare. The staff are all caring, compassionate, and above all patient. Without their help, I may not have been able to continue breastfeeding as my son was losing too much weight in the first week. Thanks to them, though, we're both healthy, and he is continuing to grow and exclusively breastfeeding. Very thankful that the hospital referred me to Monarch

I did not have a good experience here either. We had a twins, and after the Dr finished checking the babies, the receptionist just came and told us to leave asap as there was patient waiting for the room! The babies were still naked! And the staff are not patient enough.

The doctors and nurses are exceptional here. They did mess up our appointment but were able to fix it, and we had to wait an extra 40 minutes or so.

Awful experience. Hard to believe they are doctors! I would rate this place zero if I could.

I would give zero if I could. We had an appointment at 1:15 and my wife was not seem by the doctor until 2:50. She gave birth 5 days ago, had surgery and has had to sit in a waiting room by herself having to look after a now very hungry and baby. They also have you uncloth your child when you arrive to weigh them and then have you keep your baby unclothed until being seen by the doctor. This wouldn't be a huge deal if the wait times between admission and being seen weren't so long. In addition, the main receptionist has zero bed side manner. She's rude, condescending, and abrupt. Definitely not someone who should be dealing with first time parents who are already stressed out and sleep deprived. She's definitely in the wrong profession. There's got to be a better option for care in Ottawa.

All around terribly inconsiderate staff. I had no interest or intention to meet with the lactation consultant who came to see us first. Not only was she not helpful but stressed us out unnecessarily. The doctor was over an hour late for our appointment, and then he did a very quick and poor examination. The receptionist then proceeded to try to sell me goods I had no idea had been recommended to me. Lastly they sent me home with papers that I was told had the information from the visit (ie baby weight) only to find it was simply all information on breast and bottle feeding, which was not at all related to why we had scheduled the appointment. Really surprised how awful the lactation consultant was after a previous experience with one in a hospital, where they actually weighed baby before and after feeding to measure consumption. She appeared to just push bottle feeding despite being there the day my milk had just started to come in..

I want to echo what the other reviewer noted. The receptionist was very rude, unhelpful and mean in her demeanor. E.g she rushed us to change the diaper without proper wiping and cream. As a health care provider and a human being I know what to look for and what is considered unprofessional and unempathetic behavior. I am disappointed at the management that they let such a person to work in a sensitive position. The doctors are good although it depends on who you end up with that day. Our experience was mixed. The LC are good in general. I hope the management look into this repeated consern.
