THE WORST Clinic in Canada. If it was possible To rate no star I would give it To this place. These Two receptinists are very rude and ingorant. This morning I tried To go for Walk in and they almost chase me out of the place. They believe they are making you a favor. When I got in the office they were talking about thier personal business saying to each other for 10 mins before saying " hello". They Said it is only on appointment and I asked them if I can take one they Said no. I have To Call. Now when I called they dont want To answer the Phone Call. I Will never go back

Stars are for the doctor and the nurse only. Unfortunately, the receptions took 3 of them away. Came into this clinic for a few times for the past couple months. I have met 3 different receptions at the walk-ins, they are all whether unprofessional or extremely rude. I do not expect the receptionist knows everything, however, when you ask them questions, they seems to be annoyed. They would give poor explanation or even faults answer which is way worst than “I am not sure”. And also, the people who work at the pharmacy do not wear mask! At least for both time I visit lately. Edited after their reply: I am switching it to one star now as the person who write this feed back either lying or is not presenting physically at the clinic himself/herself. Since the staffs at the pharmacy, the lady DID NOT wear a mask and the guy did not wear it PROPERLY for BOTH time I was there. And no thank you, no need to discuss further as your clients will see it. As well as I put everything I needed to say here.

I would give this clinic a zero-star rating if I could, but the exceptional doctors there outweigh my negative comments. My family doctor of more than 6 years, who is an amazing physician, changed his practice location, so eventually I followed him to this clinic, which I really despise with a passion. Simply put, the clinic is a zero, but doctors there are 5 stars. First and foremost, when you call this clinic, there’s never anyone to pick up the phone and it doesn’t matter what time you call. That said, the clinic looks very rustic inside and out… I’m not too shabby about the aesthetics of a medical clinic, but let’s just say that this clinic specifically could seriously use much-needed improvements. In this regard, the way the interior is designed makes that there is no room for privacy when talking to front desk staff. It is configured in a way that the other patients in the waiting room can hear the sensitive information disclosed between the receptionists and the patients. Speaking of the receptionists, let’s just say that they make coming to this clinic a miserable experience. The fact that the clinic already looks miserable to begin with certainly doesn’t help. However, I have to give credit where credit is due, after getting to know my doctor’s receptionist a little bit and getting accustomed to her, and vice versa — I would say she’s bearable and doing her best, I guess… Maybe I’m too used to the efficiency of the receptionists at my doctor’s previous clinic. Last but not least, payment methods and out-of-province patient fees. I’ve never been to a reputable establishment that doesn’t accept Interact payments. This clinic only accepts cash and that makes it look very dodgy… Also, this clinic imposes exorbitant fees on out-of-province patients, specifically Quebec patients. At my doctor’s old clinic, they charged QC patients $60 per visit, whereas this clinic charges $85—which is ridiculous, in my opinion. To avoid all the shenanigans, if you are a QC patient make an e-transfer before your appointment. All in all, I am saddened that my doctor has moved to this location, but because I have been with him for so long, I deal with it… My 3-star review is because a) my amazing family doctor; b) the bearable receptionist; and c) compared to some medical clinics and the healthcare system in Gatineau I am always reminded that there is worst out there.

My boyfriend has a family doctor ( Dr. Dutta ) at this location and his doctor is a very bad communicator he made a requisition at shoppers to get his medication refilled and a week later he went to pick up his refill but they had not received anything from the doctor so we made an appointment 2 days later went in and asked the doctor to refill his prescription instead of telling us that he put the prescription through the night before he decided to just tell my boyfriend that he is a pill addict. Now my bf has medical forms that he needs signed so he sent them in over two weeks ago and no response so a week ago and just last night he tried re sending them just to find out they blocked his email address and can no longer send them emails. He can not go in personally due to a private matter and still needs his medical forms filled out. I would not suggest getting a doctor here they are extremely rude.

My family doctor is out of town for 2 months and the walk-in clinic I usually attend was closed for 2 days so I decided to try my luck with Bank Medical Centre. I was told they no longer do walk-in clinics, but if I had been there previously then I may be able to see someone. I was lucky the receptionist Lara was so kind and managed to let me see the doctor. Last week I met  Dr. SHOLA SOLOMON, at first I was apprehensive and nervous as some of the reviews were not stellar, also the fact that the clinic had technically closed, it was Friday about 5pm and I was still able to be seen, I didn't know what to expect. Lara brought me in the back, I was seated in a room, and within a few minutes  Dr. SHOLA SOLOMON walked in. He was in good spirits, seemed happy as he greeted me and I was put at ease right away. He is very professional yet caring at the same time. I was very happy to have had such a great experience. With a first time visit.  I had an x-ray referral and was on my way. I got a call back from Lara, that the doctor had wanted to see me again to go over my results, she sounded cheerful on the phone. Unlike some of the crabby receptionists I have spoken to. Overall I had a 5 star experience. Thanks!

Went 9am Friday. They told me hours are wrong and clinic opens at 1pm on Fridays and to come back 12:30 for registration. I came back 12:15, they said “ok sit and wait in this area and we’ll hand out the numbers soon”. 10 minutes later I see a bunch of people walk in with numbers, all the spots they had available. Apparently you have to wait in the doorway. There’s a little paper sign that says that, one out of 20 small signs. The receptionist was extremely rude to me and told me “YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THE SIGN”, when the sign is very unnoticeable and one of dozens which is why I asked in the first place. Took 5 hours off work and never got to see a doctor. Healthcare ridiculous in Canada, standards were way better when I lived in Thailand and yeah you paid for it but it was cheap. Feels like third world healthcare, call your MP. Edit: To the responder, why is your grammar so bad and your response full of circular reasoning and logical fallacies? A4 sheet? That's not a sign, that's a standard size sheet of white paper...

Very very terrible service, The message at the beginning when you call is over 5 mins long with no option to speak to someone unless you’re an existing patient. when I finally got through by using an extension the receptionist didn’t listen to a word I was saying. She kept asking me if I was a patient of that doctor when I repeatedly told her “no, I need a doctor” , I was then passed onto a more competent staff member and I asked to book an appointment so I can have a family doctor and they just told me to go to a walk in clinic? I don’t need to go to a walk In Clinic I need a family doctor. They say on their website they’re taking new patients but don’t mention that it’s 6 months to a year wait! Would be nice to know that earlier!

I came in to the walk in clinic. While registering, the receptionist told me that because my health card is expired that I needed to walk to the service Ontario ten minutes away to renew it. So I did, only to find out that I DONT need to renew it because due to COVID the expiration dates are extended. I would expect health staff to be more knowledgeable about this during the pandemic and to treat patients with a bit more respect. I won't be coming back.

I visited this clinic and was sent for an x-ray. I had the x-ray done on September 15. I have called numerous times to be told they haven't received the report. I confirmed with Premier Imaging, where I had the x-ray done, the report was sent on September 17th. Premier Imaging then re-sent the report on October 12. It is now October 19th, and I continue to try and get he results and continue to be told the same thing, they have not received the report. I am still in pain, and so the issue has not resolved itself, and clearly it was a huge mistake to trust this clinic with my health. Terrible patient care.

I was looking for a Pediatrician for my boys in the Ottawa area and was recommended Dr Ismail. I don’t agree with the negative reviews as she is a very kind and knowledgeable Dr. I know for certain when my child needs medical attention that I can go to her and she will find out what’s wrong and keep my mind at ease. She and her team are amazing and always give me appointments right away when i need one for my kids. Nurse Rana is also amazing and very kind. Highly recommend Dr Ismail and her team. The long waits are understandable as she is a Dr and has alot of patients who need to see her.

Don't waste your time going to this Walk- In Clinic, in particular Dr.Das; THE WORST! The doctors are not there to help you. The only thing she will do is tell you to go home and take an advil (I went to another doctor and I was told I have an ear infection). I asked for for a specialist referral and she denied me. Very unprofessional doctor. Sent me home saying nothing was wrong when in fact there was. If I could give minus start ratings she would get -10.

Painfully understaffed, under-managed, and unable to provide any clear answers when spoken with. The clinic is usually at capacity within the first 30-60 minutes of opening. The biggest issue is that a receptionist comes out and cuts the line somewhere in the middle telling people it’s full and that no more patients will be seen after a certain person that’s pointed out. The rest are turned away—unacceptable when you’ve already been waiting in the line for 40 minutes. It would make more sense to close your door instead of cutting off those who’ve already been in the line. I can’t speak to the professional service of the practitioners, however, not many can unless you’re lucky enough to make it through the cue and NOT get turned away. Receptionists—to their credit, they get yelled at all day, can be rude, dismissive, and will sometimes yell at people when flustered. It’s just not worth the trouble of making your way all the way there—even if you’re there before opening, only to be told you won’t be seen. Oh and don’t bother calling. You’ll get the voicemail 100% percent of the time. At least you’ll know they’ve reached capacity as at some point the receptionist updates the voicemail to advise the walk-in has reached capacity with the date included.

I was skeptical about going given their low reviews. But I went anyways around 2pm and asked the secretary about how long the wait would be. She told me it would probably be 2 hours and she said I could leave and she'd call me when it's almost my turn. Unfortunately by the time it was my turn, I had a meeting for work. She secretary was so nice and said she'll call if they have any more slots open for me. She followed up after saying they didn't have any more slots and suggested that I come in right when they open the next say so I wouldn't have to wait. I appreciate all her help, she was fantastic. The doctor was also very friendly and helpful.

I went to the walk-in clinic before it closed and was able to see Dr Solomon Shola who was very kind, attentive and addressed my concerns. I was put at ease by the fact that he was very welcoming from the get-go. I initially went because I needed some general blood tests done and he added additional tests after he examined me, which I appreciated. I had a follow up meeting 3 weeks ago that I was very satisfied with as well. I came at the time indicated and I was received promptly at the front desk. Thank you very much to all for the care, it is appreciated.

I tried to call this clinic many a times to get appointment with my doctor but they never pick up calls. Even though i try calling them in business hours the automatic answering machines instructs to call back in business hours. The website also redirects to call the call but they are always not available even after leaving a voicemail for callback.

Let me start off by saying that Dr Laila is a treasure to Ottawa South. My daughter had some difficulties at birth and needed to be followed up with regularly. I am so incredibly lucky to have Dr Laila on my daughters team. She is remarkably intelligent at what she does, and so supportive. I don't have to worry when my kids get sick because I know that I will always have the right diagnosis and leave with the proper treatment plan, not to mention the amount of times she has saved us from trips to the ER. She also has the most amazing nurse and receptionist that are so kind and helpful.

When I returned to Canada in August of 2022, after spending most of my life in the US I was told I would have a hard time finding a family doctor. I initially came here in Jan of 2023. I had sprained my foot while visiting my family back in the US, I had forgot to purchase travel medical. Once I remembered,I was already in the US and was unable to purchase it. Consequently, my daughter ordered a walking boot from Amazon and I waited until I returned home to Ottawa to see a doctor. I went to the Bank Medical Centre walk-in clinic, and was treated by Dr.Adeloye.He is super, he examined my foot, ordered X-rays, and asked if I needed anything for pain (I did not). I mentioned that I was a recent returnee to Canada and did not have a primary care doctor. He said that he would be happy to take me as a patient !!! He immediately reviewed my US records and refilled my high blood pressure meds. I have a stanadard appointment for a medication review and blood test this week to ensure that the medication is not causing kidney problems, as that can happen with high blood pressure meds. This sort of appointment IS NOT STANDARD procedure in the much more expensive US system. I'm very impressed with Bank Medical, Dr. Adeloye and the staff. Quite frankly, a lot of the complaints on the reviews that I have read here about, "rude staff" are actually people being Karens and Kens. Customer service is hard work, and people are not very patient. When you go to the doctor's plan on a wait, bring a book and chill.

Needed to access a walk-in clinic Saturday sept 25th Their hours on google: 9am-1pm Their website: Closed on Saturdays I called their phone number to check which of the two were accurate Their voicemail: We are open from 9am-12pm ON SATURDAY SEPT. 25TH I paid for an Uber so I could make it before they close They were closed by 11:25am... They Wasted both my time and my money which is inexcusable. If you don't want to get your time wasted avoid this location. Wont pick up calls either super disorganized. Side note - if they cant handle a simple task like keeping their hours up to date or provide accurate information then I sure as hell will not trust them with my body, And you shouldn't either.

Yesterday I took my 18-year and 3-month-old daughter to see Dr. Leila Ismail in Bank street medical center and her intire team was extremely disappointed with the level of service we received. Not only was Dr. Leila Iemail rude and dismissive towards my daughter, but she also made several inappropriate comments about her age and maturity level. As a parent, it was both concerning and alarming to witness this type of behavior from someone who is supposed to be a healthcare professional. It is unacceptable for any medical provider to treat their patients with such disrespect and disregard. I would strongly advise others to avoid seeing Dr. Leila Ismail and find a pediatrician who values their patients and treats them with kindness and compassion.

The incompetence of most of the staff here is astounding, if you can even get a hold of someone to speak with. Imagine scheduling a vaccine appointment for a 1 year old and the nurse they send in, is not certified to give an injection..... keep a wiggly 1 year old waiting over 45 minutes before finding someone who can. Our medical system is a joke and if we were able to find a new clinic, we would be loooong ago. Our doctor was moved to this clinic and it has been nothing but problems. The parking lot is a nightmare, the clinic is filthy. Do not waste your time here.

Tried unsuccessfully for 3 weeks to reach this medical office by telephone, voicemail and email to book an appointment - was never able to successfully reach front office staff - - because they do not answer the phone or return voicemails, and they explicitely refuse to communicate by email. Business clearly needs to invest more in their front of house - unsure how to proceed - do you book appointments by smoke signal or sky-writing? Please advise.

I moved to Ottawa beginning of 2022 and needed to find a new family doctor/paediatrician for my children. At the time, bank medical centre was the only place accepting new patients so I had no other options but to admit my children. They don't pick up their phones, they're not complacent, they don't care about patients, they don't have available appointments until the week after you need to be seen; the entire centre is a money making scam. I was begging and pleading with paediatrician Laila Ismael for a sleep test requisition because my child was experiencing long breathing pauses in his sleep. She gave me a nasal xray requisition instead and dismissed my concerns for my child. She was so arrogant and ignorant, it's disgusting. She walks with her head high because she has the title of a doctor but in actuality, she's useless. Our health are system needs better doctors, people who can actually make a difference to their patients lives.

customer service training should be given to staff...I mean nobody expects it to be exceptional in a medical clinic, but basic skills dealing with public is a must! Avoid if you can, there are much nicer places...

This place is terrible. No one wanted to talk to me. I literally witnessed this one lady accuse patients of theft. She was busy looking for money while asking patients if they saw someone literally steal. It is a mess in there. I never write reviews on here but this place I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Front desk people are very unprofessional,They need a fully training to how to behave with patients. They are rude, dismissive, and will sometimes yell at people when flustered.I would not recommend this place at all. You can see the way even the unprofessional maybe manager responds to people’s reviews. There is no sorry at least for the first sentence ,The way they respond all the reviews is like they are right always .You say something they respond u we were right because of this and that… I will write the whole thing happened today at Dr .Akil front desk soon… For now don’t waste your time to even call they never pick up and never call u back.Your sick today every single time they tell u to come next week?!!! So even If u die today they don’t care and u have to come whenever they want only.

I have a family doctor(?) there who practically does not exist. Have left messages multiple times and no call back. Well the only two interactions I had with him, he forgot about taking the action he promised to take. Why two stars: the receptionist was nice on my in person visit. Otherwise 1 is my choice.

They called me today, and the person I spoke to was very rude. We discussed my blood pressure, and he informed me that my BP is within the normal range at 146 over 97. He mentioned that higher blood pressure is considered to be 180 over 90. When he asked where I had it checked, I told him Walmart, as I was there when I felt like I was going to pass out, had a headache, and was shaking. He replied, 'That's stupid; never get a check at Walmart.' I also mentioned that the pharmacy advised me to go to urgent care due to my high blood pressure at my age (I'm 22). He dismissed the suggestion, stating that urgent care is unnecessary unless the blood pressure reaches 180 over 90. He suggested that perhaps I was panicking because the pharmacy advised urgent care. I had clarified that I had already decided to stop checking my blood pressure when she mentioned it, and you weren't panicking at that time.

Dr.Shola Solomon is the worst doctor I have ever seen in whole Canada. he doesn't know how to talk and behave to his patients. very rude when we ask about the treatment and refer to a specialist he misbehaived with us and and was very rude. Doctor is with low knowledge and just like to diagnose and read the line written in the reports .if you try to ask more about the treatment he gets angry and rude.

  • 4/5 Inayat Z. 9 months ago on Google
The clinic needs serious attention to service and visitor satisfaction. For instance, the patient child vital sign is checked after the the physician check up. This is time consuming way. The Pts has to wait longer unnecessarily because the physician refers the patient back to nurses check the weight and after the assessment it takes more time to see the physician again.

Had an appointment booked with dr Ismail for 3pm today. Was not seen until 3:40pm. And only saw and nurse in which they told me that I had to book another appointment to see the doctor. My family doctor referred my son to a paediatrician to look over some things she was unsure of and I received no answers. I do not recommend. Also seemed liked they were trying to rush people out of the building.

Me and my wife went to this clinic for our immigration medical and there are a lot of positive things in this clinic 1. Every personnel is accommodating. 2. Zero or minimal waiting time because the process is systematic. 3. The fee is very low. 4. Dr. Vince is a good doctor and he will talk to you like you are his friend and not a patient. I definitely recommend this clinic.
