Famous historical place, very picturesque. I have been in summer and winter, both spectacular but in different ways.

Nice falls and lots to see in the area

A beautiful spot with a tremendous volume of water.

I wouldn’t say amazingly great. The waterfall didn’t have a streamline flow. However, it looked unique in its aspect. Maybe it was raining so didn’t feel that great. But the place is beautiful with a nice view of Gatineau and French Embassy at the right. Nice place for a walk.

Ordinary falls. Some trash on the other side of the fence too. You do get views on the Ottawa River but it’s nothing crazy beautiful.

It's our first time visiting this great attraction in Ottawa. We walk only a few minutes from the parking lot and then see the beautiful fall right before our eyes! The spectacular river view and the sound of the fall are great gems of this scenic spot. We also walk over the foot bridge to the other side of the fall to watch the waterfall from a different angle. The fall foliage and the special architectures create a good backdrop for more photos. If it's not raining, we would love to spend more time here.

Very nice walk to here, the falls were very relaxing a there is a beautiful view of the river.

A beautiful place to visit during anytime of the year. It is blue and green during summer, blue and full of multiple color trees on the Quebec side and filled with snow theme during the winter. A must visit place specially during the sunset. It is so romantic 🥰 and picturesque to see the beautiful nature and sunset 🌅

Beautiful and quiet waterfalls

Beautiful and unknown to too many people. Quite fun to paddle under inc's kayak - but wear a helmet!

Yet another gem on the fringe of downtown. Nice views, quiet park, great waterfall, nice memorials for veterans and the fallen of many wars.

Beautiful, especially in the winter when you can see the frozen waterfall, which is surprisingly more interesting than when it flows.

Very nice area to visit on a walk. There are trash bins, please don't litter. Be aware there are geese and they do poop everywhere.

Rideau Falls is small and it does not look natural but it is quite nice to look at. Together with the small park, it is a pleasant place to spend some time if you are in Ottawa. There are quite a few other things to see around here, like the National Artillery Memorial etc. There is a cafe right next to the falls if you care for a bite and drink.

As seen from on Ottawa River boat cruise, the famous falls look like curtains - which is how they gained their name. The formation is natural, but had received some human help over the years to maximize their beauty and function.

Love going there for a walk during the day - it's more quiet! And such a beautiful view.
