Really great free walking tour! I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ottawa. Our tour guide Mike was informative and passionate about the history of Canada and Ottawa. I learned quite a bit during the tour and really enjoyed the two hours spent on this tour.

His informative commentary on each spot eliminated the need for us to inquire further. Amazing tour. Michael was clear and loud and very professional kept our large group together well. Really good pace and saw lots and learned a lot. Good mix of facts and humour. Was surprised to hear some discussion of difficult topics very impressed overall could not have been better. We don't have a lot of money so paid 10$ each but Michael probably deserves more. Great work.

Me and my partner completed the walking tour today with Micheal. From the moment we arrived Micheal was so fun and outgoing made the tour of ottawa so much fun 😄 I had not realised there was so much in ottawa to do and today is our last day and we are dying to come back after everything we learned on the tour we are just disappointed we left it so late to come ! The guide Jonathan was fantastic! Great energy, great sense of humour, expert knowledge. Made learning about history fun and relevant to today’s world. I did the Capital City Tour. It was the perfect length at 2 hours long with a bathroom break in the Byward Market. 10/10 would recommend!

It was our first time in Ottawa and we found the tour fun and informative. We had a bit of a hiccup being able to locate the group at the start of the tour, but Andre's red tshirt and flag helped us catch up before the group left the starting point. I really appreciated that Andre was considerate of the people in the tour and also the public, ensuring that we were in the shade and under shelter when it suddenly poured, but at the same time making sure we weren't a nuisance to the public and other tourists. Definitely recommend!

Wow! The tour was very entertaining and fun due to the professional presentation and the hilarious stories told by our guide Kirsten. The spots she picked to show were gorgeous, not too far apart but the most important to not miss. We saw the passion for the job in her big eyes and the reflection of our happy faces in her pearly white teeth! stunning!

Best way to get around in Ottawa and experience the city from the point view of people living there. Interesting fact. Really motivated guide. Tours last abour 1-2 hours. The day tour as well as the evening tour (which ends at the Northern Lights Show) is recommendable.

It was a good introduction tour for a first-time visit of Ottawa, which took about 2 hours. Background in history, funny facts, great views... Dominie was nice and passionate, she also recommended us a nice and affordable place to eat after the walk. Very nice experience!

My parents and I loved this tour. We paid for both the Ottawa River Boat Tour and the Canal Boat Tour and this free walking tour was by far the most interesting and entertaining. I’d highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

André the tour guide was knowledgeable about Canadian history and Ottawa's history. He narrated everything with humor and perspective. I just wish other minorities were included. Ottawa's history is not just made of Irish, British and French Canadians. The tour is free and at the end you can tip what you thought the tour was worth.

My husband and I and our two teenage children (age 14 and 16) took this free walking tour. Craig was so knowledgeable and even though our group happened to be fairly large that day, he managed the group very well and he was easy to hear as he used a microphone and speaker. So much great information! This was only our second walking tour that we have ever done and it was amazing!!!! What a great way to see highlights of the city and to gain knowledge about it! At the end of the tour, Craig gave us great recommendations from a local about where to eat. I would highly recommend doing this walking tour to anyone visiting Ottawa!!!! In fact, my 16 year old daughter told me that she wished she could have Craig as her social teacher!!!

I visited Ottawa this past June and found this tour to be a pleasant start to my week-long, solo vacation. Andre is an excellent guide with a good knowledgeable of the city’s history, geography and architecture.
