Excellent customer service at this location! Am always greeted with friendly smiles from staff. One employee Allison quite often is working and always goes out of her way to stop whatever she’s doing to help me find the right items. Yes a little more pricey then the competition but the customer service makes it worth it. Ample parking

Nice store with a good variety of stuff. Employees are really nice and knowledgeable. They also have water on hand for your dog if you're coming by on a walk. The male owner (I think owner?) has a real beef with a local popular vet, and wouldn't stop ranting about him when I casually mentioned that we use them for our dog. I just want pet supplies: not to have to justify why I use a very reputable, evidence-based local vet. So yeah, use them for sure, but just don't get into your pet's health care choices if he's there.

Took my Shiloh Shepherd for a grooming and am sooo impressed. She has A LOT of hair and she came out looking so cleaned up and her fur looked amazing! Her nails also trimmed right up. They had her waiting for me at the front desk where she was happily greeting customers. Definitely going back.

This was my go to store because of convenience then I moved but kept it as my go to store because of the staff. There is one staff member who stands out a bit more because she is always so friendly. Her name is Heika and no matter the time of day or how busy it is in there she is right there to help me and my dogs love her. I work in retail myself so I know that we all have bad days but in over a year or so I have yet to experience that at this location. Again as someone who knows how nice it is to have a compliment made about myself I just wanted to make sure she had some recognition. Especially for always going that extra mile with customer service.

My wife and I think that this store is amazing. The owner is fantastic and friendly. Large selection of food and other pet supplies. Friendly staff. Chelsea provides phenomenal customer service and gives very knowledgeable advice and superb attention to detail. Unfortunately we had to return our newly adopted cat to OHS due to complex health and behavior issues. Chelsea gave us an easy return on unopened items and cheerfully refunded our money. Chelsea went above and beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend shopping at this Pet Valu location.

All the staff is very friendly and they are always willing to help find what I need or carry heavy items out to my car when my hands are full. Some even know my name and order by heart at this point! They are well worth being your pet store!

Helpful and kind. We find help for the oddest things here. Raccoons, chickens, rabbits.. we even had to come here to get a chain to secure a homeless persons home! When covid was still stupid, we couldn't find a lock and chain anywhere, despite the urgency of a humans safety. This place was up for the challenge when we came in several months ago and helped us.

The owner of this PetValu is incredibly kind and deserves your business! During the recent Ottawa storm and power outage, I ran out of food for my ferrets and desperately needed to buy some. Even though their store had lost power and they were trying to salvage their refrigerated products, the owner of this location was kind enough to hear me out and let me buy pet food with cash.

Typically a good experience here, however the young lady working on March 17th was extremely rude and nearly refused to serve me over a medical exemption for face coverings.

The customer service at this store is amazing! I called looking for an item and they called every store in the area to see if it was in stock. Always helpful with a smile and super knowledgeable when you ask questions, unlike some other pet stores!

Great local pet store. This is my go-to spot for dog supplies. It's clean and well organized. There's a great selection. The staff is friendly and know their products. My dog loves visiting this place and pulled me in once when I was headed elsewhere.

Every time I come in here I’m amazed that they keep the tropical fish in such small containers and all individualized. I’m not sure how this can’t be considered cruel. This is solitary confinement at its worst. Absolutely no stimulation. I wouldn’t be surprised if these fish have ptsd.

The staff at this location are not only very helpful but also very considerate! I stopped by late in the evening to get cat litter but found it too heavy to cary myself, so not only did Sam (one of the employees) carry it to the cash for me but also offered to carry it to my car out in the cold weather. I am very please and thankful for her kind offer although I feel bad she had to weather to cold. I will definitely continue to shop at this lovely location. Thank you Sam!

I began going to this location shortly after they were under new ownership. After having a brief but organic and genuine conversation with the new owner I knew this is where I wanted to come for pet supplies. Sam and the other associates are top notch when it comes to customer service. I now have a monthly standing order that is automatically ordered on my behalf and always have my cases of cat food waiting for me. On top of that when my preferred brand of cat food goes on sale they call me to inform me to ensure I can take advantage of the deal. I have several Pet Valu's and pet stores between home and the March Road location and am always more than happy to travel a little further for the warm welcome and superior customer service. Thank you to the entire team!
