I’ve been shopping at Global Pet foods for a while they have great selections, but the staff at this specific location are just so rude. Whenever I have any questions they’re very vague with their answer and their attitude all together is just bad, don’t know if it’s racial or just plain rudeness. We’re all trying to make things work during a pandemic be kind about to other people.

Love this store!!! Lots of variety and plenty of stock (never out of brands) and prices very reasonable. Friendly and efficient delivery. I thank you, as well as my pets thank you:)

Normally friendly staff but the last time I went here the girl that was helping me had bad attitude when talking to me. I explained I was looking for a buddy belt harness for my dog and she told me that they don’t carry that. I thought that was odd since on the buddy belt site they list their store as a carrier and yet she still continued to argue with me that they don’t carry it and that I must be mistaken. Due to covid their whole store was blocked off so I wasn’t able to look for myself. I guess I’m just going to go to a different store now. Not even going to bother going back to this one...

The first time I fostered two kittens. I came here to shop as I always pass by this on the way to work. Luckily I was speaking to the manager who also has cats. She was very knowledgeable and provided me the information to make the right purchases. Ended up buying two cat condo's, a mini cat condo, beds, food, toys, treats etc... Since moving - now quite far away from this location. I still make the trek to this location. Prices are very reasonable, and the selection depending on your budget - you will still end up with good quality. 👍🏻

Please don't go here. I went in for senior dog food and the lady gave me puppy food. A pet food store should know the difference between an old and young dog. I have lost confidence in the knowledge of staff. I can buy these products elsewhere.

I can't say enough good things about this store with their super friendly, knowledgeable staff. They take the time to listen and understand your situation before they recommend any products. I visited both Global Pet Foods and Pet Value next door and had such different experiences: Pet Value was pushing products that I didn't want or need and didn't once offer any suggestions that didn't involve purchasing a product from them. Global Pet Foods staff took at least 15 minutes going through my options (positive reinforcement, reacting to cat fights etc...) before recommended a product. Highly recommend! Thank you!

We were shopping for Acana brand food for both our dog and cat. They are one of the few carrying this brand and we found everything we were looking for. The service was great and they even have parking at the back so we didn't have to struggle to find a spot somewhere on the street.

They offer variety and I love the dog treats they have they look edible to humans lol

Good place for pet supplies. Knowledgeable staff. Nail clipping services available (call first to be sure the person is there). Recommended.

What a cute little place. It's clear on where to line up. There's no customer service person barking at you and nobody waving you off. You go in, follow guidelines, get what you need, and leave. This is exactly what a customer's experience should be during stressful times: easy, unfettered, no frills, no drama, no manipulation. Thank you.

I have been ordering from Global Pet Foods Hintonburg since I adopted my dog in January. I mostly ordered from them online and love their efficient service. I have now gone in a couple of times and the store is adorable with a wonderful selection. Then, they let me know that because of the type of food I order for my dog, and since I order regularly, I have actually qualified for a free box of it. I didn't know this was an option and am OVER THE MOON. Wonderful store and staff, very happy to be a patron and recommend to all pet owners in the area.

Came here with my mom to try to find a food that my cat could eat base on the vet’s advice. She was very polite to explain us which one to try. She had great knowledge about cats and common allergies.

The good- Decent selection of dog foods. You can bring the packaging back for recycling. I love this. The Bad- I purchased 2 different dog toys here that were not fit for sale. The yellow ball in the pic was labeled as durable. The damage in the picture is what occurred after less than 2 minutes with a 22 lb French Bulldog. 2 minutes is not a figure of speech here. I could see it was pretty much instantly falling apart and had to confiscate it before he swallowed too much. The orange toy is made to have treats hidden inside. This toy lasted less than 45 minutes with my 80lb doodle. He was able to pull the toy apart to get the treat inside. When I took them back with receipt to exchange for another product, I was informed by the manager there is no warrantee on these types of items. There was zero apology or surprise at all at how quickly the items had failed. I do not expect dog toys to be indestructible and last forever. But I do expect them to serve the the purpose they are specifically designed for at least SOME amount of time. These are not supposed to be single use toys. As mentioned, the manager basically seemed very aware of the failings of these items, and the store continues to sell at least the orange one. If she had apologized and made some effort to at least take the items off her shelves so that other customers don't get burned the same way, I would have a different perspective. It was the indifference to the exceptionally low quality of product they were selling that really turned me off this shop that used to be my go to place.

Global Pet Foods in Hintonburg is perfectly located for me. I have to say, I have been in many Pet stores in the past, but this is the first time, they listen to my story and recommend me the exact food that my old dog needed. Highly recommended!

Great choices for our hard to please kittens. Healthy varieties of cats foods and cool toys. They even had a big litter box big enough for our guys

The staff at the Hintonburg Global deserve the highest praise. They are such wonderful folx and have been working hard to keep theirselves, their customers and their community safe and provided for. Truly, they are so wonderful, I hope they know how valued and appreciated they are.

I love this pet store. It’s small, staff is awesome. And the owner has a Great Dane dog . Sometimes I just drop in to see him. Also supporting mechanicsville small business is great. I was looking for a jacket suitable for my tripawd pup & the customer service was great! They explained everything about the products very well and tried a few things on.

Cute little shop which is packed to the brim with everything you need (and plenty more! He he). Kind and attentive staff (s/o to Emma and Matt) who answered all of my new pet mom questions. I also met owner Shawn on a previous visit and can attest to his professionalism and helpfulness too. Looking forward to getting more toys and chews :)

This pet store is absolutely superb! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always give great recommendations. Especially with the new measures in place, they were extremely helpful and accommodating. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for them being so kind and accommodating.
