While
I
have
not
been
to
PranaShanti
recently,
my
experiences
there
were
nothing
short
of
life-changing.
I
experienced
a
community
dedicated
to
not
only
teaching
yoga,
but
nurturing
the
life
of
a
yogi
-
meditation,
community
service
(or
seva),
concerts,
workshops
(with
internationally
known
professionals),
retreats,
training
courses,
selling
products
like
blocks,
books,
CDs,
clothing
and
jewelry
to
support
your
home
practice
and
to
incorporate
yoga
into
your
every
day
life.
As
you
come
to
spend
time
here,
you
learn
from
the
many
excellent
teachers
that
yoga
isn't
just
the
physical
practice,
but
it's
a
beautiful
way
of
living.
The
facility
is
large,
clean,
and
the
rooms
(including
one
for
warm
or
hot
classes)
are
immaculate.
They
are
big,
bright,
calm.
The
washrooms
are
also
exceptionally
clean
which
is
a
big
plus
-
nobody
likes
a
dirty
bathroom!
The
showers
are
roomy,
the
sauna
room
is
well
equipped
with
it's
own
shower,
and
the
only
downside
is
that
when
classes
are
switching,
depending
on
the
time
of
day,
the
change
room
can
be
crowded.
This
however
isn't
a
problem
because
everyone
is
so
nice!
People
who
are
not
in
a
hurry
will
wait
outside,
chatting
and
drinking
the
free
tea,
interacting
with
the
staff
and
sharing
their
thoughts
on
the
class
they
just
came
from.
This
was
the
first
studio/centre
I
stepped
into
and
for
me,
it
will
always
feel
like
"home",
no
matter
how
long
it's
been
since
I
last
visited.
The
quality
of
teachers
is
excellent
-
these
people
know
their
stuff!
I
would
love
to
see
a
PranaShanti:
Prema
(just
an
idea
for
a
name)
or
an
expansion
into
the
building
beside
because
this
place
offers
sooooo
much
goodness
that
they
could
easily
expand
to
offer
even
more
goodness!
With
over
80+
classes
to
choose
from
in
all
'disciplines'
-
hatha,
yin,
ashtanga,
Kundalini,
restorative,
and
hot,
along
with
more
specialized
classes
like
pre-natal,
yoga
with
"Tune-Up"
balls
to
facilitate
muscle
relief,
and
monthly
kirtans
-
a
traditional
form
of
singing
where
Sanskrit
chants
are
sung,
this
place
offers
it
all.
On
top
of
yoga,
they
offer
massage,
Infra-Red
sauna
sessions,
numerology,
and
even
pedicures/manicures
you
really
can't
go
wrong.
Again,
with
the
concerts
and
workshops
and
a
boutique/retail
section,
inviting
spaces
to
sit
before
or
after
a
class...there's
so
much
that
goes
on
here,
it's
guaranteed
that
you'll
find
something
that
fits
your
lifestyle,
your
schedule
and
what
works
for
your
body
and
mind.
It's
accessible
by
bus,
there's
ample
parking,
the
neighbourhood
is
safe,
quiet
and
many
places
nearby
to
hang
out
after
a
class
with
friends,
and
not
too
far
from
a
wonderful
seasonal
market
which
can
help
you
find
fresh
food
to
eat
well,
I'm
not
sure
why
you'd
go
anywhere
else!
The
one
major
thing
to
note
-
it's
not
really
wheelchair
accessible.
A
wheelchair
can
probably
access
the
first
floor,
but
two
of
the
yoga
rooms
are
up
a
flight
of
stairs,
which
would
limit
anyone
in
a
wheelchair
or
anyone
who
has
major
difficulty
climbing
stairs.
The
staff
however
will
do
their
best
to
accommodate
you.
In
terms
of
price
-
it's
about
average
for
other
centres/studios
in
this
city
and
they
are
flexible
with
payment
options.
Lastly,
as
someone
who
isn't
your
standard
"skinny,
bendy,
flexible"
yogi,
someone
who
is
wobbly
in
her
poses
and
can't
do
many
of
the
intermediate
poses,
I
found
that
I
was
supported
and
given
options.
Modification
of
poses
is
possible
and
most
-
if
not
all
-
the
teachers
here
have
many
ways
for
you
to
experience
a
great
yoga
class,
no
matter
your
size,
age,
flexibility
or
injuries
you
may
have.
If
this
doesn't
convince
you
-
nothing
will!
