Great people and amazing service from BT Jewellers! I had my Omega serviced by Jeff a year ago and was impressed with his expertise and the turn-around time. I also recently went in for a "watch-emergency" as my spring-bars gave up on life and decided to snap, leaving my watch bracelet-less. I was connected with their second in-house watch maker Emma and she was able to fix the issue while I waited. While waiting I browsed through their amazing collection of Tissot, Longines, FC, and estate watches. Bob Thompson's is an amazing establishment for watch enthusiasts in Ottawa, thanks to their awesome staff and owners.

The staff is wonderful with exceptional service, the craftsmanship and quality of their work is like none other and I wouldn't trust anyone else with all my valuable watches and jewelry. Thompson Jewellers literally restored my old Rado watch and it looks brand new. It was remarkable and never thought it could look like that again. After that experience, they restored my mum and dad's Rado watches as well. They created this beautiful custom letter necklace for my niece. The amazing thing: we wanted to put an Aquamarine stone to represent her birth stone and Thompson Jewellers suggested we go with a blue diamond instead at no extra cost.

The service is warm, professional and top notch. They offer great deals too. Celebrating 70 years this year is an amazing achievement and well deserved. They treat their customers like family. Talin and the rest of the staff at Thompson's read my mind and turned my ideas into some amazingly unique pieces! Two wedding ring sets and one Amethyst ring/pendant/earring set represent 23 years of my life and I was at a loss as to what to do with them. Talin designed an Amethyst and silver ring and pendant that represent the resilience of picking myself back up and carrying with my life. The two wedding ring sets were transformed into two brilliant diamond rings that wrap around and compliment my Ammolite ring (separate purchase) that I can wear in multiple variations for various levels of formal wear. An incredibly pleasant experience buying a Tissot watch here. Such personal service and appreciation for your business regardless of the amount of money you're spending. The owner took his time to explain the watch movement and help adjust the strap links. The staff were very friendly and helpful in my initial visits browsing and trying on some of the selection. Thompson is a model of what local iconic establishments should be like.

20 years ago, we went to Thompson’s for custom wedding rings. We were thrilled. Now, 20 years later, I knew Thompson’s was the only jeweller to go to for an anniversary ring. I didn’t want the “usual” anniversary type ring. While working with the kind, extremely knowledgeable and fun Talin, Thompson’s created a stunning Emerald cut/Trillion anniversary ring for me. I've been here twice recently - once to have a silver cuff bracelet inscribed, again to have 2 gold necklaces and a pocket watch cleaned and polished. One of the necklaces was worn on my wedding day 43 years ago, now being gifted to my daughter. The pocket watch was a gift I gave my mother 50 years ago, now being gifted to my son. I trusted them with this because my first experience was a very good one. All 3 pieces came back looking brand new. I find their prices reasonable considering that this kind of work requires skill. I've been treated well and fairly each time. I recommend fully.

I have to write to say what an absolutely amazing experience it was to work with Talin and the team at Thompson’s. Top notch professionalism at every turn! Talin understood immediately what I wanted in my ring design. She provided great advice backed by years of experience and has a very keen eye for detail. I had purchased a great diamond but had a not so great setting I bought online some years ago. My setting needed to be completely overhauled and changed from a four prong solitaire setting to a basket setting with a halo. I gave Talin a pic of Tiffany’s “Soleste” setting which is exactly the style I wanted. I can’t say enough how fabulous it turned out!! The quality and craftsmanship I received went beyond my expectations! It looks exactly like the setting I wanted and is absolutely stunning. I now have my dream ring thanks to Talin and the amazing people at Thompson's. I have full confidence to recommend this wonderful business to anyone. I have had multiple pieces redesigned by Talin at Bob Thompson Jewellers. She takes the time to understand my vision but also offers amazing suggestions that make the design even better! She’s responsive and happy to answer any questions and made sure I was comfortable with the process. Even when she was on vacation, her colleagues made sure I was told that my order was ready. It’s a beautiful store, with a large selection and amazing customer service!

I went to Thompson's Jewellers in 2020 to have some estate pieces looked at was taken care of by Derrick. His experience and knowledge was very helpful and I ended up having many custom pieces made that I am so pleased with. All the staff are very friendly and helpful including Talin. It is always a positive experience to visit the store and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Thompson Jewellers went above and beyond for me. I brought in my engagement band and wedding band, a set passed down to me from my mother in law, that I developed a nickel allergy to and haven’t been able to wear for years. They worked out a plan with me and while there ended up being a miscommunication on the price, they completely covered the difference and were incredibly gracious and apologetic about the miscommunication. I feel so well cared for and they were just so kind about the whole thing. I am so excited to be able to wear my rings again - and they did a fantastic job on the repair to boot. Ask for Taline when you’re there - she was the kind soul who helped talk me down when I was worried about the miscommunication and who was so gracious about covering the difference. We asked to leave a tip and they wouldn’t accept it, so hopefully this review is enough to convince anyone on the fence that this is a fine and honourable establishment and I would gladly trust them with my incredible sentimental and valuable jewellery again. Thank you again Thompson Jewellers and Taline - we will gladly be back for all our jewellery needs!

By far the most friendly and helpful staff when it comes to buying an engagement ring. The most important part is the time the owner took to explain the details of each diamond and making recommendations. Not once did we feel pressured in one way or another. He could have spent all day showing us different rings and diamonds if that was what was needed. We have already recommended this jeweler to our friends and family and will continue to do so. We are proud to say that we supported a local jeweler and got the perfect diamond engagement ring.

I picked up my Tudor from Thompson Jewelers in Ottawa on Saturday. A big shout out to Jeff and his staff. The watch was in for a service and was ready in 6 days! He offered to keep it in the shop for an extra week to monitor the accuracy. As I am an hour away I agreed. He wore the watch at work and tweaked it as needed to make sure it was running great. If you are in the Ottawa region I highly recommend him. His pricing is very fair and the service is unmatched. Plus he has a lot of great 'estate sale' watches including some beautiful Omega's.

Talin took great care of us when choosing my fiance's engagement ring. We had to have it done in a very short time, and she took extreme measures to make sure it was done quickly. Amazing finish, and overall wonderful experience!

My partner and I went to multiple jewellers, but this was the one we kept coming back to. I was very indecisive. I was not sure what I wanted and they let me try on different designs and talked me through the process, and what was possible. Even when it came to the budget they were willing to work with us. Talin was the one who helped us pick out the final ring and honestly I am so happy with the results. I never felt pressure to buy. But I am very happy we did .

We first went to Thompson's in 2021 and my husband ended up buying my engagement ring, wedding band, and his wedding band from there. We really enjoyed our experience with Derrick. He is very knowledgeable about diamonds. We also ended up buying Swarovski earrings from them which I wore at our wedding :)

On Saturday, went to this store to replace batteries for 2 watches. Was told that each battery will cost $45 and that the watches will be ready on Tuesday. I used to wait 15 minutes and it was done. I read another review that is still stating a cost of $20 for a battery (few months ago); this is what I was expecting to pay (I paid $15 and $20 in the past for batteries for the same watches). Can somebody explain to me what is going on?
