I unfortunately am in the middle of a very frustrating experience with Kindred - I order from them online as I live in Toronto and feel like if I was only shopping in person I wouldn’t have any issues. I ordered 2 shirts on April 3rd and am still trying to deal with Kindred today on getting a refund. They have been very difficult to communicate with, and at first told me my stuff had been “shipped awhile back” even though I had not received a shipping notification at all. Finally, after two more emails from me asking for a shipping notification, Tamara did look into what the issue was and offered me options in terms of if I wanted to reorder or refund. However when I finally requested what I would like as one of the shirts I ordered was no longer available, it has been total silence from them once again. I got a shipping notification for 1 of the items even though I asked for a full refund, and no word on the other item as of now. Really very frustrating experience that has turned me off from ordering from them in the future.

I love this beautiful store in Ottawa. it has all kinds of things I love: cat merchandise, candles, tarot cards, plus exquisite jewellery, much of which is made by the hand of the owner. The owner and her team are friendly, fun, and helpful, and they really care about their community - they give lots back in the form of donations to great causes and boosting other local businesses. After living in Toronto for a number of years before returning back home to Ottawa, Kindred was one of the shops I was most looking forward to being able to visit on a more regular basis. Their staff is wonderful and the artisans they sell are incredibly talented. Plus Tamara (the owner) is such an amazing human being. Ottawa wouldn't be the same without this gem! If you're looking for unique jewelry, mugs, clothing, gift cards, prints, and so much more you gotta make the trip down to Hintoburg to check them out!

We got such cute things there, they had a lot of items I loved such as candles clothes, cards, crystals… I would go there for gifts for girlfriends, or myself!

I love coming here to buy gifts for my friends and family. The store, staff and service are all great and I always end up finding really cool and unique things to browse and buy. Very refreshing compared to all the big box stores everywhere.

Probably my favourite shop in Ottawa to shop for gifts for friends and family (and myself of course). Their in house jewelry line is beautiful and unique along with all their other vendors for clothing and home goods. Tamara has prioritised her staff and clientele safety throughout this pandemic and been a positive influence throughout the neighbourhood. I'm no longer in Ottawa but am grateful that I can still make online orders to help support Kindred.

I am a huge fan of Kindred Shop and Studio, and the house lines, Tamara Steinborn Jewellery and Frug. I used to frequent the sister shop, Wunderkammer, and have happily made the trip to Wellington West to keep browsing and shopping. I always have Kindred on my list as a shop to visit when buying gifts for family and friends, and myself! Love this store!

Could spend forever here - so many excellent things to check out. On-trend jewelry, housewares, and clothes (a LOT from local and/or Canadian designers), and the owners and employees are awesome to boot. Always something new to see and try on with every stop-in, definitely worth a visit!

Friendly shop with their own beautiful jewelry line, as well as other brands of gorgeous jewelry pieces. Fabulous gifts for cat lovers and plant addicts alike (even if the gift receiver is yourself-you deserve it)! Socks, purses, greeting cards, prints and beautiful and unique clothing. Passionate about their community and making a difference in our world. So much 💗 for these guys.

The jewelery and clothes here are unique, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I think she showed me half of the jewelry in the store before I chose what I wanted. The jewelry is slightly more affordable than the places nearby as well, so that is a bonus. I also was very tempted by the bamboo undergarments they sell, I will probably go back to buy some.

Kindred has a great selection of beautiful handmade gifts as well as a lovely atmosphere and personable staff! I purchased a stained glass moon for my sister for Christmas and will most definitley be supporting them again in the future.

The staff is always so friendly! I have had nothing but positive experiences here :) This business constantly updates their window displays and it is always so artistic and innovative, its a pleasure to pass this shop! Its very nice how they sell a collection of different local makers - it is my go-to place to purchase new jewellery :)

My favorite little shop in the whole wide world <3 Honestly the only place in town I can find jewelry to fit both my eccentric taste, and the more refined particularities of my mom. She rocks every piece I've ever purchased here with joy and pizazz.
