I would give them a 0-review if I could. Quite frankly the worst piercing place in Ottawa. I went in at approximately 2:30 pm on Wed Dec1st to get my second piercing done, and the piercer was rude. It started when he marked the first piercing on the right ear, and I stated it was too high; he argued with me, saying he knew what was best. Fine, he carried on. Moving to the second piercing, he marked the spot, not allowing me to review the mark; he pierced the left ear, which hurt worse than the first, a red flag. Once he finished, he said I could check them, but what am I reviewing if you have done the piercing. After looking in the mirror, I immediately stated it off, and the left one was way too high, which would require a piercing between them to balance it out. He said, "no I don't understand piercing; they were fine." I should have honestly left the second he said I could not be on face-time during my session. I went back and had them removed at 3:01 because they were horrible. I asked for a refund. He said: "no refunds," which was not stated on the signed waiver even though they did a horrendous job. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. EVEN CLAIRES WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I AM NOW BLOCKED ON INSTAGRAM BECAUSE I POSTED THE HORROR STORY. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I spoke with the owner about getting my tattoo done and she booked me in herself. After paying my deposit and showing up 15 minutes early, sitting with an artist for over an hour to draw up my design, it being 4 lines and a circle. The owner called the store and denied my design, saying something about not wanting to ruin her reputation by doing this design. She was extremely rude over the phone and kept calling me "honey." I have not received my deposit back.

Good experience, studio is clean and modern, staff is kind and professional, and my artist did a good job on my tattoo, I love it. The only thing is that they charge A LOT more than a regular studio. They don't give you any estimates of the cost beforehand, they only tell you once you're at the actual appointment getting ready for the tattoo, and they only take cash, which if you're expecting to pay what a typical studio would charge you now need 3× more cash than planned. They also ask you to pay before you get the tattoo, which I'm sure they have their reasons, but if for any reason something goes wrong you've now overpaid for a "bad" tattoo. All in all the quality of the tattoo is good, and it was a pleasant experience, I would recommend this studio, but if you're not willing to pay almost $1000 for a 3 hour tattoo there are plenty of other studios in Ottawa with artists who can do just as good a job but for much cheaper.

I’m in the process of getting a tattoo removed that was done by Juan here in fall 2018. This is the tattoo in May 2023. This is a very delayed review, but a healed tattoo shows details that a brand new one just doesn’t. I wanted to share for those wondering what level of quality you’ll get once your tat is healed - this one is about 2x4 inches and it was $250 or so. I think this photo speaks for itself. Do note this was my 3rd tattoo of my now 9, all by different artists, and it’s my only one with scarring and blowout. Make of this review what you will, I just would be cautious in booking here without a thorough consultation. BTW - the scarring from the artist’s lack of attention or care will be on my body forever. If you’re young or new to Ottawa, please keep in mind there are SO many tattoo studios in the city, do your research & avoid anywhere/anyone who’s going to leave you with the pain and massive expense of tattoo removal that could have been avoided with a little more care. Note: Juan is obviously from his portfolio incredibly skilled - but clearly did not care about this tattoo, or me. An experienced artist shouldn’t be leaving clients with scarring and blowout on a linework tattoo. Edit: Thank you for such a courteous response, Julie! Blaming me for the work your artist did - nice. Small tattoos = scarring and blowout from going too deep. I didn’t know that one, but then again, I don’t have 30 years of experience deflecting my business’s issues onto my clients and defending my artists’ errors without apologizing. Loved the part where you acknowledged the scarring and ignored the fact it is not a tiny tattoo. You have an incredible talent for further upsetting clients who are already upset. Graciously, Someone with 7 tattoos smaller than this one and similarly aged that don’t have blowout or scarring P.S. “I’m sorry you experienced that and I’ll follow up with the artist” would have been more than sufficient.

I would 100% recommend this place. I appreciate that Julie was quick to reply to my messages and was very accommodating. I was a bit of a handful with requesting artists and scheduling but she made me feel welcomed and did her best to make sure that there was a right fit for me. Unfortunately, since idea was bit unorthodox and complex, I wasn’t able to get my piece done. Juan was insightful and creative, and I’m glad that he was able to be honest about pointing out the cons of my idea. Julie even refunded me my deposit even though, I had a date set already and had a consultation. Most shops won’t do that. If you’re hesitant in booking with this shop, just talk to Julie. She created a safe and comforting environment for me to come and address any of my concerns. Julie was professional and kind throughout the whole process. This was my first time getting a tattoo at the age of 60. I wanted something in memory of my Mom and Dad. Ella, my tattoo artist, was so helpful and very professional. She presented me with a couple of options. She is truly a wonderful artist. She made me feel so comfortable during the process and made sure I was doing okay. All of the staff were very professional and encouraging. I highly recommend this place for your tattoo needs. The owner, Julie, was quick to respond to my emails when I had a concern. I would definitely support this wonderful business.

Had such a good experience here getting my first tattoo's. Very clean, friendly and my artist, the Colombian gentleman, was very experienced. 10/10 would recommend. A little pricier than other places but you're paying for quality.

I was very disappointed when trying to get walk-in piercings with my sister at this studio. We weren’t introduced to the piercer until after payment was made and were unable to get the piercings we wanted as the piercer felt the area was too small to be pierced. The shop looks clean and the piercer was friendly and professional, however I think the shop should improve their reception protocols to avoid unnecessarily bringing people to the back room in the future.

Reception was unprofessional and rude. My questions were shrugged off and I felt very unwelcome in the shop. I got my piercings done at a different shop and had a much friendlier and professional experience. Cheaper prices, cheaper service is what you’ll get here.

Juan is an amazing tattooist, he made me feel very comfortable for my multi hour and two appoints to complete my tattoo sleeve. Its a great place with friendly staff. Price was right for the quality of work. The manager Julie, stayed in touch with me through out the few months in order to schedule and reschedule appointments as per my work schedule.

I was really nervous and worried to get my piercings.I told him I talk when I’m nervous and he talk to me so I can be distracted, honestly He help me out! The piercer is understanding and is patient and quick and will give you time and will make you look at it yourself, I’m not afraid to tell him more up or down. I ask him to fixed my nose piercing so it can be the same yes they can fixed old piercings for the better. i am happy with mine!! My second time at futureskin I told them how I wanted to get my medusa pierced done. Where/angle basically I can be picky with them! Now I’m not afraid to tell them how I want it and I ask a lot of questions now and I will go back to fixes my old ear piercings!

Got my piercing here, the piercer (Kip) was amazing. I was nervous but he was very nice the whole time. The owner (Julie) is also very sweet always replies to my messages on Instagram for any concerns I have and helps me. Would really recommend this place 10/10!

My friend and I last minute decided to get two piercings each. We called Future as they were open until 11:00PM and we asked if they had room and they did. The studio is clean, they were friendly, professional, and answered all of our questions. It has been two days since the piercings and we both have no issues with the piercings and they are healing quickly. Will definitely be returning and will suggest this place to my friends!

i got a septum piercing yesterday and it was super chill. the place is not sketchy, it’s very clean. the workers are super chill and kind (they also got a great fashion sense). the piercer that i had was Aziza and she was amazing! she did a great job. i absolutely recommend that place<3

Got my first piercings here! Everyone was so friendly and easy to talk to, super approachable. I was pierced by Kip and he was very gentle and explained things as he went, like take a deep breath, you’ll feel a poke, and the bar is intentionally long for the swelling during the healing process, etcetera. Definitely going to go again for future piercings :3

Went in for a labret piercing for my daughter. Staff is very welcoming, the place is ultra clean and great ambiance. The owner took the time to explain everything, including maintenance of the piercing (maintenance supplies included) and it went really well. Made my daughter feel comfortable and it was done ultra quick. Barely had to wait even on a walk in visit. Price was fair and will definitely be back for any piercing or tattoo. Very experienced staff that know their job well and know how to talk to people. Great job guys!!!

As an early gift for my 43th birthday I got my first tattoo done in memory of my mom. A line from her favourite poem and her favourite flower ( carnation ). I am so happy with how the tattoo turned out and I can’t thank Juan the artist enough. The whole experience was perfect. It is such a clean, professional and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I recommend this shop for anyone looking for a tattoo. You will not be disappointed.

I went there today and I have to say the professionalism and the kindness was outstanding. I went with my sister to get cartilage piercings. The staff there were so nice and kind. We had Victoria as our piercer and she was phenomenal. Very professional and it didn't hurt at all. The place was very clean and tidy. I am definitely going here again to get more piercings. The service was amazing. 100% recommend.

Got a tattoo done by Elizabeth here, as well as permanent makeup by her. She was amazing, her lines were very crisp and she was very professional. Also got a nose piercing by Bente here, she was amazing as well. She was very good to show me that everything was sterilized and the process was very fast and painless. Would totally recommend to anyone and will definitely go back! Amazing staff all around and lovely clean shop.

Met the nicest/funniest people when I got my tattoo there (including the best DJ in the house). I felt very welcomed the moment I walked in and the whole process of getting my tattoo done went very well, I absolutely love the way that it turned out. I’ve gotten two tattoos there, both being done a couple of years apart, and it still remains as good as it was when I first visited. The owner of the shop clearly cares about the quality of the work that they do, I’ll definitely be going back there for whatever it is I plan on getting done in the future. :)

My daughter went there in February and talked to them telling them she is 16and with a parent Vincent explaned to them what she wanted and where it will go ...in the beginning of the week she made an appointment with a 15$ deposit so appointment was set ...we went in today to get it done and they refused to do it not only that but they didn't even offer her back her deposit ...not very perfetional..I'm will never go there again

Very clean place and the custom service is alright, however it’s overpriced. I got my Medusa piercing done at walk in day for $60 and the after care was $27 The ball fell off only a few hours after the piercing was done but I got another one for free. But it’s $20 to put the ball back in lol the piercer was sitting around and had nothing to do and wanted $20 for a 5 second work The piercing rubs against my gum and I got a second opinion from a professional who said it shouldn’t be like that. When I went back to future skin and asked, they said that’s normal… Idk about all this honestly, atmosphere could be a bit more personal and friendly

Super sad to have parted with my dermal piercing I had for five years. Had to remove it for surgery and bless Kip for being able to carefully extract it! Despite my swearing from anxiety lol! First time ever going here, I’ll be back! Great and friendly staff :)!
