I originally went in for a navel piercing but unfortunately did not have the correct anatomy for an adequate healing process. Tine was very knowledgeable and clear in her explanation. I’m so glad she carried out the consultation - I feel comfortable that she explained all risks involved, she has your best interest at heart! I chose to get a helix piercing instead and she very kindly fit me into her schedule. Hygiene was immaculate, and she was super friendly and kind. I’ll definitely be going back, and I’d 100% recommend Vanity and Tine for any advice or piercings!

My first experience here was pretty good it was the owner that did my lip piercing she was extremely friendly. But After that on two separate occasion I had a terrible experience.. Once I went to go and change the size of my piercing as well as purchasing jewellery the lady seemed super rushed she wasn’t the friendliest and she was actually rough with me while changing my piercing. I left a review last time and no one got back to me.. I was also suppose to hear from them to get a jewelry that I ordered that I never ended up getting a call back for. But today, I went in for an emergency because I wanted my lip piercing to be removed. As it was causing discomfort, I noticed that the bar was to short making no room and it pushing against my lip causing it to I bend into the skin. I just wanted it taken out, that’s all.. The lady said she had no time today and that she was busy. As she stood there with no one in the building and it could’ve taken her five minutes I told her that I was in serious discomfort and I just wanted the Piercing taking out she told me she could not touch me and that it was a liability she told me to go to the hospital I told her that all I wanted was the piercing taken out she was extremely condescending and rude. I told her it wouldn’t make sense for me to go to an emergency for a piercing that just needs to be removed I told her that I booked an appointment for Sunday but I think that this is urgent and I would just like a take it out now she told me not to bother coming on Sunday because it’s still a liability and she will not touch my face this is a place that I went to get my piercing done from which is why I went back to get it taken out. I left really upset.. I then walked into another shop in the city they took me in said it didn’t look too bad and it took them two minutes to take it out and cost it $20 and I was very pleased.

I went here yesterday to get my septum pierced and had an amazing experience! This shop is clean and modern, only stocks high quality jewelry, they're extremely thorough with going over expectations/aftercare, and my piercer, Tine, made sure to take her time with getting the placement perfect before piercing me. I will definitely be returning for more piercings, and I recommend this shop to everyone in Ottawa looking to get something done :)

I adore this piercing studio! So, far I have gotten 3 piercings from Vanity (2 helix's & a conch), one by Carnie and the rest by Marie. All experiences have been exceptional. The staff are very informative and are super friendly. The place itself is super clean and it makes you feel safe to get a piercing there. I definitely suggest to any piercing lovers to go here!

My friend and I went to get our noses pierced by Carine and it was a truly fantastic experience. I have had 13 piercing or so over the years and this was my best piercing experience yet. Carine took their time when chatting with us and showing us jewelry and let us know what was happening every step of the way. They were a professional and explained that they would pierce our noses in different ways because of our different nostril shape, which I thought was such a sign of a true professional. They were were incredibly respectful and thoughtful throughout the entire process, and I am absolutely in love with my new nose piercing. I will only go to Vanity and see Carine from now for all of my piercings : )

I got my flat cartilage piercing and pair of lobes done by Tine! She is the most educated and informed piercer I’ve ever come across and made sure i was comfortable with the placement, budget, and overall experience. There are a variety of jewellery options from budget friendly titanium to more expensive options around $1000. You get what you pay for, so if you’d like to spend a little more and rest assured that you’ll be taken care of with quality jewellery, come here and know that all of the piercers seemed very friendly and comforting! Will be coming back in the future for more & for a jewellery change of old piercings!

I had a wonderful experience at this piercing studio. I went in to have my septum pierced back in December by Tine and she was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable and professional, and the placement of the piercing was perfect. The studio also has a beautiful selection of jewellery. I highly recommend this cute little shop for all of your piercing needs.

Had a very good experience at vanity with my helix piercing! I got my helix pierced by an other piercer but I had a pb with it after. I headed to Vanity for a check up and the piercer (Charlotte) was super helpfull! She gave me really good and efficient advice and followed my healing journey carefully to know when to downsize. She took really good care of a piercing that she didn't even pierce in the first place and I'm so thankfull for that! 100% recommend !

I came by to spend a couple hundred dollars on nice jewelry (it was a treat yourself kind of day) and was turned away because they only accept appointments. So I sat outside and booked one through google, and they said they don’t accept appointments that way. 💔 They are fully booked for the day so I can’t make an appointment through the website, but there is a girl sitting at the front door not doing anything, I’m not sure why she couldn’t help me buy some jewelry? I was looking for nicer jewelry for my tragus piercing and my experience at Vanity was amazing! Marie helped me choose the best piece for my ear, budget , and even future planning for other piercings. Unfortunately I forgot my wallet so I couldn’t purchase the jewelry that day but they held it for me until I could come back and have it inserted. The whole process was easy and painless and I’m already looking forward to coming back for more holes in my ears!

Very lovely and knowledgeable people, I had came in for a second opinion on a piercing I got done, and even went as far as going through the trouble to squeeze me into their schedule for a second appointment the same day. AMAZING!!!! I recently went to see Charlotte for a curated ear consultation and piercings and the experience was great (so much so that I had to be sure I came on the same day to leave a great review!) I went in with a very rough idea of what I did and did not want and she worked with me and the shape of my ear and the jewelry pieces I liked to come up with the perfect combination. She was very thorough and explained the entire process and answered all of my questions. I absolutely love the end result and I’m so happy Charlotte worked with me to create it. I noticed some of the negative reviews had to do with pricing. I found Vanity’s pricing to be transparent and very clearly laid out on their website both before and at the time of booking. Furthermore, at my appointment after I selected the exact pieces I wanted they totaled everything up to ensure I was comfortable with the pricing before moving forward so there really were no surprises. The jewelry itself is pricey, but you get what you pay for. I view my new ear piercings as an investment that I want to be healthy and last long term so I didn’t want to sacrifice quality for pricing on something I’m not happy with and want to change. Charlotte was amazing and I look forward to going back for my other ear!

Vanity is so lovely, and full of kind people. They always got beautiful jewelry from yellow gold to titanium. The only downside that I wish they were abit more upfront with the jewelry costs (for example, they have different brands with different prices). I got seen by couple piercers (Charlotte, Manu, Marie, and Tine). They're all kind and so accommodating. I have a cochlear implant that I wear my ear piece. Always let them know to take them off and took the time to communicate with me during the process that I got pierced a couple occasions.

Not me…but took my wife for a helix piercing. From the moment you walk through it he door you are greeted professionally and with a smile. Every customer I saw was greeted the same way. One customer was there for follow up concerns and they took the time and care to look up the customer file. Concern for clients well being was obvious. Everything was fully explained in a clear but fun way. Routine following appointment was booked before we left. No pressure sale. Already recommended to someone. Amazing service, Charlotte is super knowledgeable, has a great eye for style, and makes recommendations that work for you and your body. I went in for an ear redesign for my upcoming wedding and the class and elegance Charlotte brought to my ears is on another level. Loved my experience and I will be back without a doubt! The entire studio has such a chill vibe, the fem-only/owned aspect of it really appeals to me as well.

I was really impressed with the service I received at Vanity. My piercer, Keri, walked me through every step of the process and answered all of my questions. Knowing that everything was well sterilized really reassured me. The piercing part didn't even hurt as much as I thought it would! I got one additional piercing on my left and right ear lobe. I don't notice any swelling or pus or anything for that matter, and no pain either, and it's only been days since I got the piercing. It's a little difficult to sleep since I'm not supposed to put pressure on my earring by sleeping on my side, but using a travel pillow has worked ok. Really impressed with the service. I like their jewelry too. 10/10.

She was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable, and she explained every step and made sure I liked the exact placement (based on what sort of jewelry I want to put in once it heals). Every staff member I talked to was very nice and helped the appointment go smoothly. The jewelry is also very high quality, pretty, and reasonably priced. Would certainly recommend!

Visited Vanity for the first time to browse the jewelry and have new rook and conch jewelry inserted. My piercer, Charlotte, was awesome. Super friendly, respectful of my budget, answered all my questions, and was just lovely to chat to. The space itself is clean and super cute, the music was also great. Charlotte was so gentle removing my old jewelry and inserting the new ones, I didn't even notice it happening. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I went for a helix piercing today. It was a wonderful experience. Tine took care of me and was super sweet, professional and friendly. I have gone to 2 other piercing places before but this is definitely my fav and I will return soon for another piercing! If you are looking for a place this is the one. I also find the place sensory friendly (the music/noise level isn’t too loud, the lights aren’t too bright and the members speak calmly) 10/10 recommend overall, love it there :) 🤍

Went in this week to get my second holes done on both of my lobes. Vanity was very clean and bright on the inside. I was made to feel very comfortable and not rushed through my choice of jewelry. All of the procedure was thoughtfully detailed by my wonderful piercer. She took the time to ensure I was happy with the placement of my new piercings. The procedure was fast and hardly hurt at all. She also ensured I knew how to properly care for my new piercings before leaving the shop. If I ever get another piercing done I will definitely go back, I couldn't recommend them more.
