I have never had a bad review of a Doctor or any service In canada but this time I felt like I need to speak up. I brought my son here for a first time of blood test and the Doctor had a greeting like this. She said "I think you might have to bring him to Cheo". I told her I called cheo and they said my son is over 8 years old so he has to go to the private lab. she replied let me see and walked away for 30 minutes . when she came back, I was very polite and told her that i was waiting for her answer. She replied "what? I said I will try" but if he won't let me do it for him I can't, now I knew she was the receptionist and the Doctor in this office. I told her well I talked and persuaded my son before I came here, I hope I can work with her so she can accomplish this.I was trying not to panic my son but she kelp talking like this if my son won't let her does this i have to hold his arms and his body for her to work ,she talked very loudly my son heard every words she said and everyone in the waiting room heard everything. he got panic and scared saying "I won't let anyone hold my arms and my body for this, I don't want to be like that". This doctor who is incapable of communicating with patients. My son was quiet until he heard all of this.😓 At this point, I couldn't help but told her that the patient's attitude, especially the child patient, depends a lot on the Doctor's approach and behavior, now my child does not want to stay. and wanted to leave the room immediately, but the doctor mocked my attitude and my baby, even threatened me with surveillance cameras. we argued for a while. I don't know how to explain to her that the doctor's attitude affect the patient's psyche so much special to a child patients. I asked for the documents then left, still heard her voice in the office mocked about me and my child. I felt so disappointed and felt so sorry to my son.

I had a great experience here. The queue was small on an early weekday morning. The technician who drew my blood was very efficient and competent. Very quick, no pain at all. She was very comedic, too. I laughed quite a bit! Lovely staff. Thank you!

Went there today for the first time as a walk-in. The lady who was at the desk and also did my bloodwork was so nice. Had a very pleasant experience. Painless and super quick! Thank you!

The one blood test I've gotten here was fine, but don't believe the closing time. They want to get all blood taking done 15 minutes before closing, which means they lock the door even earlier than that, depending on patient volume. Consider their closing time to be 30 or more minutes earlier than posted. Would it really kill them to say they close earlier?

Unprofessional persons especially with kids they don’t spend a minute to make the child confortable before taking blood sample PLUS they didn’t care to note if i took my medication or not that day (the blood work results will depend on). Added to that they sent incomplete results to my physician and i waited forever to know about, the lady at the phone was so rude when i reclaimed this. Stay away from this place i wrongly thought it was an excellent place to go for because of the reviews but it was a BIG mistake i never had such an experience before.

It took me 2 hours to do standard blood work this morning, very frustrating and annoying. Many people walked out and refused to wait. They need more staff or more efficient staff or processing procedures. This should not be allowed to continue. G. Teskey

This Bio Test Laboratory on Carling this the Best Location to go to cause its just across the street from the civic hospital. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND COMING HERE if you want blood work done well & quick and if you looking for one close to the civic hospital this is the one for you.

I checked in to the clinic and they were annoyed that I requested an estimate as to how long things would take. ‘If you stopped asking I could get through things quicker’. Simple blood work took over 2.5 hours. I had a parking ticket as they wouldn’t let me leave to move my car, 1.5 hours in. They said that I would lose my spot. I was very dissatisfied with my experience and was upset with the way they treated the patients.

Usually really quick and the ladies at the front are fun to talk to as well. Makes my experience easier as a Quebec resident. You do have to pay but it's not much and you don't have to worry about waiting forever like the clsc place

The staff are very friendly. Make sure you print your prescription. I had it in email and had to forward the email to head office so they fax it which can take hours! The staff were nice so they read it from my phone. Make sure you print it so you don't have to wait.

Great place for blood work highly recommend this place by far to come too especially if you have rolling veins like me they are great with their clients and are very generous and gentle when doing their job especially the one lady who always takes my blood she always gets it on the first try and it never hurts or I never have a bruise sometimes or if I do not long.

Drastically understaffed. The ladies here work very hard, this is not a comment about them. This is a comment about their cooperate HQ not supplying the proper staffing. Every time I go here they are running around like crazy, juggling multiple patients, the desk and the phone at the same time. It should not be like this.

I have been using the facility for my blood work for many years. I find the staff helpful and as another client said funny too. It is easy to locate and parking is close by. Paul

I had a really good experience wait time wasn't bad at all Maybe 20mins I did go an hour before close. And Mary was so sweet and really gentle. No rush at all.

Very very slow. One lady working, while people are waiting in the waiting room she goes and takes a little break. I walked out and now have to go to a diffrent place big waste of time!

Highly recommended. Super efficient, friendly staff. Call ahead to get wait time (today Nov 16th at 3pm. It was zero). A complete contrast to Dynacare locations, where staff always seem stressed and the ECG machines are broken - which they don’t tell you till you actually arrive). It’s in the basement (they could do with better signage), but it’s well lit and feels quite airy and not cramped.

Waited 45 minutes this morning and nobody to even take my blood work requisition because you have one person working who can’t do it all. Let’s get it together can we. These tests are not an option. And that’s the best you can do.

Stood in line for 15 minutes until the person doing the blood work (could see her) came and started processing us. Not her fault. She was polite. Will avoid Bio-Tests labs in the future.

I have been using this lab for blood works for years now and never had any complaints. Staff are friendly although could use a dedicated reception staff instead of the phlebotomist multi-tasking. Even during Covid, they are still running as efficiently and results are usually with my doctor within 24-48hrs.

The blood work results have to be available to the doctor that issued a requisition. If there is no direct contract with the doctor, the patient should be notified how to access the results. When we performed blood work at the Carling location, nobody said anything: we were not provided with any information on how our results can be accessible. Our doctor spent the whole day trying to contact the laboratory for the results yesterday and received them with difficulty. This is not how things should work.

Very nice staff, good service and short wait times.

Parking for me was not an issue as I take the bus (56, 85, 101 & 103 out front, 86 & 89 two blocks away). Great staff & taking blood is painless & never bruised. Visits takes maybe 5 to 10 minutes in the morning.

This facility is very clean and efficient. There is decent street parking nearby. The staff are sweet and put me at ease. Many thanks to Danielle for her gentle manner.

This lab is TIERS above any other generic lab in the city like dynacare. The people who work there, especially Marie, are fantastic, compassionate, and beyond empathetic.
