Believe the bad reviews. They're biased as to whom they can help. Can someone explain to them that it’s through ohip and not a private practice. The reception will not send you an email with the receipt, there is no point in trying to save trees. They will laugh in your face for no reason. The only thing the doctor ever offers is physiotherapy, and massage that’s offered there. The doctor won't send off a referral or even send you for any kind of imaging. Went to Toronto and ended up having a torn ligament and a broken ankle that isn’t healed and could have been found faster if they wanted to follow the procedure. The only reason they are getting a star is because of Dr. Waters. Some of there doctors are racist too the point that they can’t provide the same standard of health care to someone of quebecer ancestry. Racial harassment in Ontario includes ancestry. If your not getting a Quebec health but a ohip card. You get to provide the same standard of health care that you do to other patients. I got left with a broken ankle for about 7 years when my family doctor already at the time sent me for a X-ray confirming it. So there is no point for a referral also. They won’t look to see why referred in the first place. Their solution is “ go home “to a born Ontario citzen, because again the racist against ancestor even. Mothers tongue can be English.

Pretty terrible experience with the doctor there. I destroyed my ankle playing basketball to a point that it never had been before. Couldn't put any weight on it for weeks. The only thing the doctor told me there was to put ice on it and basically stay off of it. I had to specifically ask him for a cast since friends and family had advised me for this. He gave me no information or anything about it. After I had gotten X-rays done to determine I had also had a very small fracture he basically told me nothing, and I had to ask him for a prescription for physio. He also gave me absolutely no information on the actual damage done to the ligaments in my ankle either. Only told me what the X-ray showed which was the fracture. Didn't bother giving me much information at all.

Dr. Wilkinson and Badr helped me so much for knee surgery/recovery. Great expertise, great care and so kind. I am really grateful for such a facility and amazing professionals to be available to me. Thanks!

I cannot say enough good things about the treatment that my family and I have received at Carleton Sports Med. Dr. Braidwood is the kindest, most caring knowledgeable doctor that you could ask for. Dan Clement is a simply outstanding physiotherapist. He is my pit crew. He keeps my aging vehicle on the track. The reception staff could not be any nicer. I would rate my experience there as 6 of 5. Many thanks, Robert Erwin

My PT was Tony Revitt. He didn't seem to know what he was talking about (or even care). The Acupuncture I received was painful and seemed like a good way for him to waste time during my appointment. Save $75 and and type in "Athleanx" followed by whatever body part is hurting you on youtube. That's how I found the perfect Psoas and calf stretches.

My experience at Carleton university sports med clinic has been nothing but a positive experience. I have gone there for a few different sport related injuries and have always been completely satisfied with the service. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I got appointments promptly, the doctors I saw were thorough in asking questions, were able to get me the MRI's/X-rays I needed in a timely manner and I got the results back quickly with options on how best to address my injuries. I have also referred family and friends and they too have had positive experiences and were very pleased with the doctors. I will go back again in the future and continue to refer family and friends to the clinic.

The therapists are great for the most part but the reception is absolute rubbish! 20 minutes on hold, asked to continue to hold then hang up the phone deliberately.

Very good experience here with Sports Med and Surgeon consults. Dr Taylor is a great resource to diagnose and refer to specialists. Physio was not great. Expect your physiotherapist to be seeing multiple people at once, and to spend much of your visit hooked up to machines. Okay if you just want a basic recovery protocol post-surgery, but if you are interested in a more advanced recovery protocol geared for performance, I'd look elsewhere. Also had a scary incident where an unsupervised physio student was allowed to do manual testing on my shoulder in a vulnerable position, 6 weeks after labrum repair.

Great staff from the doctors, physiotherapist and admin staff. I tore my ACL playing volleyball back in February and they've been a huge help with my recovery. Can't say enough good things.

Doctors are great parking sucks. I have never been to the physio's so can't speak to them. Make sure to book an appointment as soon as you can as you have to wait forever for an appointment but when you see the Drs it is worth while.

This place is great! I have tried quite a few different physiotherapy places around the city but I always end up back here. It is not the most convenient for me but it certainly is by far the most effective. Recommended!

My daughter participated at the Volleyball Canada U14 Canadian championship and they used all the sports facilities to host. It was great ! Even the arena was used. Great place to host that kind of event !

Tore my ACL in January and had my surgery mid July. I have been seeing Anna for physio since January and she is AMAZING. She is very informative, knows her stuff and I never feel rushed during my appointments. Anna is supportive and understanding and she has made a painful experience way more pleasant. I would rate my physio experience as 5/5. Anna is great. (This rating is for their physio staff only. I had a bad experience with one of their doctors [0/5] who said I was “borderline injured” and barely gave me the time of day during appointments. I had to switch doctors to be treated with respect and get my referral to a surgeon. I brought up my concerns regarding this bad doctor to the appropriate staff at the clinic.)

They decline treatment with no explanation demonstrating a lack of transparency and fairness.

The improvements to accessibility have made the facility so much more inclusive. Impressed.

Excellent and friendly staff. On complaint you could make is that it’s very busy. Then again that just goes to show how good the services they provide are.

Hi I'm the guy with the basketball hat 🤠. Good clean spot with all the equipment. Only issue is the parking, no free parking even during the covid lockdowns. I paid $4. Saw lot lot of cars without any parking slips, but online (university of carleton website)it doesn't mention anything about parking for sports medicine center.

For sports related matters I have found doctors here to be very knowledgeable, thorough and professional. In my case they also did my ultrasound right during the examination which was impressive, no need to wait for a separate appointment for that.

Covid protocols taken very seriously. Staff were efficient, and friendly. Did their work on putting me back together, quickly and as painlessly as it is possible to do... and long term benefit, worth it.
