So bad I came a week ago, and I waited seven hours, then my doctor did not come, and then I make a new appointment through the reception . This is in a picture. And I came to my appointment and surprised that the appointment was at a time when the clinic was closed. The reception was laughing at me !!! They gave me an appointment when the clinic was closed. Shame on them. They do not respect patients. We can see the Dr. When the person gonna be die, and after that we can see a doctor of death

I would give this place 0 Star if I could. I moved to Ottawa from Brampton and by far Ottawa, ironically, is one of the worst place to find a family doctor or even a doctor at a walk-in clinic. My son got a chest injury at school and it was concerning enough to needing a doctor to look at him. I took him out of school the next day with the naive assumption that if I wake up early enough I can do my due diligence and call ahead at a walk-in clinic and notify them that we will be coming by. I did an internet search and came across Applebee's Medical Group, it was also the only clinic open or accepting walk-in patients. I saw that the only office available to us had a 2 hour wait time, and "registration" started at 1pm. This took place at around 9:30am I might add. Having never dealt with a walk-in clinic with this type of protocol before, I phoned their customer service line just to understand what I needed to do. Their rep basically told me that I can visit the office at 1pm, register there, and then my son can see a doctor. Simple enough, we showed up to the clinic only to see about another 50 people already standing in line waiting. Concerned by the amount of people and seeing one after one people registering, while standing in line, I checked the same website that told me I had a 2 hour wait, and now it told me that the walk-in service was closed. I was stunned as there were so much people still in the line. I phoned back customer service and the rep confirmed that the walk-in clinic was indeed now closed. I asked why wasn't I told that this may had happened, I would had certainly come far earlier. Her answer to this was that they don't tell clients this because it's up to us to figure this out. She then said that there was another doctor at another clinic, but he only saw patients over 18. My child is 9. Or, she then suggested , we come back another day. Basically I wasted my time, gas money, and was left without a doctor seeing my son, and a day of school or even going to another unaffiliated clinic, was squandered. If only Appletree was upfront with me from the start, and mentioned the possibility of a long line up, or that there was no guarantee that my son would see a doctor, this entire fiasco would had been avoided. They treat people like numbers, they couldn't care less about our health nor do they respect our time. It's almost like they try to accumulate a mass roundup of people and the first lucky ones get the prize - to see a doctor. Is this what our health care system has become? What an embarrassment and a tragedy. I will never use this medical group again.

I had an appointment today at Appletree Medical Group in Kanata at 9 am, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I encountered a waiting area with approximately five people in line to register. The registration process involves using a self-registration kiosk, which, unfortunately, was not only outdated but also located in a place that seemed dirty and emitted an unpleasant odor. After completing the registration process, I eagerly waited for my turn. When my name was finally called, I was informed by the person at the front desk that my scheduled doctor had called in and would not be able to make it to the appointment. This news was incredibly frustrating, especially considering the effort it took to secure an appointment with this specialist over the course of several months. To make matters worse, I had to drive for about an hour to reach the medical center, only to be told that my appointment was being rescheduled. This not only wasted my time but also left me feeling immensely disappointed and inconvenienced. The overall experience at Appletree Medical Group in Kanata was marked by a lack of efficiency in the registration process, an unpleasant environment, and most importantly, the disappointment of having a long-awaited appointment rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances. I hope that the medical center can improve its operational procedures to ensure a more positive and reliable experience for its patients in the future.

Sad my Family doctor moved under their corporation. She use to be very helpful and listens to patients concerns and now their staff answers to phone, blames the client for stuff that they should be apologizing for. Once my Doctor retires, I will be gone. Rudest staff hands down. I never leave these comments but this is just plain stupidity. I wish this "rating" system would be allow me to put no stars.

Clinic opened at 930 so I get there for when it opens, just to be told they are not taking walk ins. I'm in the unfortunate position where I don't have a family physician, and rely on walk in clinics. Been to 5 just to tell me they don't take walk ins anymore. šŸ¤¬

Arrived 7:30AM with 22 people in front of me waiting for the clinic to open. Registration starts 8:30, by the time my turn comes to register at 9, they say the doctor has a full list (maximum 20 patients) and everybody else should go somewhere else.

0/5. Walk-in clinic with wait times listed online, arrive on site and they are actually not taking any walk-ins. No doctor on staff accepting walk-ins despite what the web page says. There is a nurse practitioner (not covered by OHIP, $50 to see) who wasn't even acailabe in-office for patient visits at the time. Do not waste your time, avoid this place.

the receptionist lady was very rude. She arrived 30 minutes late to open the clinic and then she disappeared into the back for another half an hour while everyone stood there confused. She then told us there was no physician in today after making us all wait an hour. There is rarely a doctor in office at this location. useless

I've walked in twice now to see Dr. Saini. She really listened to me & ordered blood tests (which a previous doctor refused) out of worry. The second time I saw her to go over my results, she recommended I go to the ER, which led to the discovery of my lupus. I am very grateful to have seen her & would have her as my regular doctor if I could. I took off a star due to inaccurate open time my first visit & waiting outside for an hour in the smoke (at the time) & the consistent minimum 2-3 hour wait in the waiting room, but it makes sense with just one doctor.

Went to one of their walk-in clinics, they werenā€™t accepting walk-ins and would not let me make an appointment. Was directed to the site on Katimavik in Kanata, itā€™s closed, I call back and they say it will be open at 2. No one here at 2:15, call them back only to have a different person tell me they are closed today. I didnā€™t think all the negative reviews could be true, turns out they are as bad as people say and worse

I would never come to any Apple Tree walk-in clinic. We all were waiting at Walk-in clinic since 7.30am where clinic open at 8.30am. The board, they have clearly mentioned timing Wednesday: 8.30am to 2pm. Then suddenly from website, we got to know, clinic is closed. There should be the synchronization between website info and clinicā€™s board info. Pathetic health services of Canada. No family Doctors and few walking clinics with min 3-4 hours wait time! Canada needs to semi-privatize the health care.

Stay away! Absolutely no customer service! Tried to book an appointment, they said my wait time would be 4 minutes. I've been on hold for 35 minutes now and hanging up. Horrible!

I covered both bases as I find this medical agency to be less than reliableā€¦requested the pharmacy send a request for refill last Wed and no response back almost a week later. Then had an appointment on Thursday to renew required prescription and here it is the following Tuesday and they didnā€™t even bother to send the request to the pharmacy. Canā€™t pick up what they donā€™t even send or respond to. I am truly thankful that they are so concerned about my health and well-being they donā€™t even see the need to respond. If I could assign less than one star, I would. Update, next day, they faxed over one prescription and it was a medication that I havenā€™t taken in 5 years. So the four medications that I need to combat my Meniereā€™s Disease and the spinning and vomiting where not even sent over. It has been a week, and I have had no medications for the past two days. This is not health care, this is a total disregard for patients and illness. These people are more than useless and I am filing a formal complaint with the college of physicians.

Medicine at bargain basement prices. What happens when you privatise healthcare. Extremely understaffed. There was one person there, so when they take you in to set up your "Telemedicine" conference with an actual doctor there is no one at the front desk. Ridiculous. And you have to fill out a ton of information electronically yourself, including your healthcard number since they're too cheap to invest in a barcode reader. And they're using a worn-out touchscreen, in the age of Covid19, at a supposed health facility. When did Canadian healthcare get this bad??

After a 3 hour wait I was rushed through and not well diagnosed. Had I taken the meds prescribed I would have had a heart attack. Very poor health care. Don't bother. Rude doctor who doesn't care at all. Go private.

Re: Janine Stobart Was in serious pain, thought it was kidney. She said was back pain/spasm. Asked to get a xray, she told me and i quote "NO DOCTOR IN CANADA WILL DO THAT". I had told her my back issues have lingered since covid and i'm concerned. She didn't give two F. Friends referred me to top back specialist. What does he say, "before i do anything, i need to see a x ray". Don't risk your health with this lady.

They provide good services. Yes the waiting time can be long sometimes depending on the day that you go to the clinic. But I find that the doctors are good and professional and the nurses and receptionists as well. I would go back again.

Got an appointment with the Dr. Waited 2.5hrs but she was able to address my issue and referred me to the general surgeon the day after. Appletree always provided me with great service. I wish all the medical clinics were like this. Thank you Appletree! You saved the day again...

Incredibly disappointing experience with this clinic and company. Were unable to provide medical service, despite call centre directions and arrival well before closing time. Disorganized and inconsistent organization.

Horrible service. The doctor's behavior was so rude and he denied to listen our illness. It is not a good tendency and I recommend to close this useless clinic.

I have to say that my experience was amazing today. Was looking for a test result from years ago, couldnā€™t find it but got me in to get another test for work, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The doctor was very knowledgeable and helpful with answering my questions. I am pleasantly surprised with my visit.

Apple tree gone downhill since covid. Only 1 doc at clinic. Took 1hr &30min to sighn in to the kiosk because of the delay and line. Really need 2 kiosk machine. Kiosk dont tell you anymore how many patients are ahead of you or estimated wait time unless check online. Online doesn't let you book an appointment with our registered doc to skip line. It show zero. Clinic should put a sighn at entry to say full for the day. Pre covid days you could take patients and come in at a random time and be alright. Medical system is backlog now.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the service I received and would not recommend Appletree at all. I made an on-line appointment for my father who is a Quebec resident. There was no mention of how to pay. I received and replied to two confirmation messages, and waited for the first appointment. After waiting over forty minutes, I received an e-mail sating the appointment was cancelled for not paying in advance. I telephoned, and was informed that out of province patients must pay in advance, (which was not on their web site) but I was told I could not pay several days in advance as cancellations occur. I rebooked, and on the day of my next appointment, called and tried to pay. There were problems with their system, and the receptionist said they would note it and I may be able to pay the doctor when he called. I called again, and the receptionist again was unable to take payment. I called a third time, and was told the doctor was behind but I was on the schedule. After forty five minutes, the second appointment was cancelled for not paying in advance.

Your website says you're a walk-in clinic, but in person I'm sent away and told that there are no walk-in doctors at this location...?

Called at 2:30 and was told their clinic was open from 3-8. I get there at 4 and wait in line for 1.5 hours with the same 3 people to be told they had already taken their last patient (at 5:30? When they close at 8?) There were 5 people infront of me at first, he helped 2 and then went to the back for 30 minutes, came to the front and THEN told us he took their last patient a while agoā€¦ā€¦.the guy KNEW they had already taken their last patient but literally made us stand there thinking we had a chance at getting inā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ (they also told me they took 7 patientsā€¦. 7 patients for a 5 hour walk in clinic seems like theyā€™re not doing their jobsā€¦ Iā€™ve been to the other clinics they whip through like 15 people in an hour) I told them I needed medical help immediately due to the pain I was in, I asked if they would send the information they had to the hospital for meā€¦ apparently they need the doctors permission to send my information (abdomen scans,..) to the hospital and the doctor refused to send it because it hadnā€™t been reviewed yet??????? They held my information from me. I needed to know what my results were and they refused to let me know. Get to the hospital turns out I need immediate surgery ā€¦ and this clinic just kept sending me home because I couldnā€™t get there right on time at 3 to register for the walk in clinic ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ apple tree baseline clinic is much more professional and cares about your health, these guys absolutely do not which make no sense since their a MEDICAL CLINIC. I do NOT recommend anyone go here they do not care.

I walked in not having high hopes on a Tuesday at 11am; I was prepared to sit for at least 2 hours because of my last experience at the Preston location but I was surprised when they called my name after only 45 minutes. There were maybe 5-7 people ahead of me. The gentlemen who brought me into the exam room was very nice, asking appropriate questions for a timely experience and went above and beyond to notify me of certain apps and websites to use for my information. I sat in the room for another 10 minutes before seeing the doctor and left with more information than I needed but appreciated every ounce they gave. Will definitely be visiting this clinic again! Thank you!

I've been to the Katimavik clinic twice, and there is a clinic manager / patient manager whose name is Tiffany who is professional, straightforward, and just particularly good. She has raised the bar of this clinic which is incredibly hard to do. Thank you for your support and for being there.

I wish I could give Appletree Medical zero stars. Please do not make the mistake of Rostering with them for a family doctor. You will not get any privileges of having a family doctor. Your so called family doctor will not accept appointments so you still have to do walk-in, and wait for hours to see them. They may accept virtual appointments but only for adults, if you have kids then you have to come in person just like everyone else visiting a walk-in clinic that day.
