LASIK MD was incredible. The whole experience was so easy. The staff was so informative and understanding. I was never without contact to get informed and reach out. The process once in the office was carried out very professionally and courteously, including the pricing (not just recommending me to opt-in for the most expensive option). The surgery took minutes, the recovery was quick and without any issues. Within hours I was seeing in 20/20 without any aid and couldn't be happier. I will definitely be recommending them to all my glasses wearing friends.

The staff at LASIK MD Ottawa are great. I had my surgery about 3 months ago. Before the surgery I met with Mei-yit, she was fantastic. She gave me a full explanation in regard to the options available for me and what the procedure entails. On the D-day everything went well. I was so anxious and one of the staff in the OR literally held my hand through it. My eyes were corrected to a mono vision which takes time to get used to. I was informed of this before the surgery by Mei and the Dr who performed the surgery. Mei has been always available when I needed to talk to her which was helpful when I was having difficulty with the adjustment to the new vision. The adjustment takes a while to get used to, but finally things are starting to look normal. If you are thinking of having laser eye surgery I would definitely recommend LASIK MD. The staff is great. It's only been 3 weeks since I have Laser eye surgery, and it's wonderful! I don't have good eyesight (like -7 to -8). My dad did his here, and recommend this place to improve my vision. I decided to do it and, it's worth it! All of the staff are really friendly and informative (Mention to Mei-Yit, she is a awesome person)! I did the eye tests and surgery on the same day. I definitely recommend everyone who want to improve their eyesight to go. The price is worth it and they did an amazing job with it. I will tell my sister and my friends about it!

I had my laser eye surgery at LASIK MD Ottawa, and my experience was just perfect. Kudos to all the staff there for being so friendly, and understanding! The surgery itself was super quick, and smooth. I was a bit nervous right before the surgery, but I thank one of the staff members there for her calming words. I wish I had gotten her name, but she is quite tall. In less than 24 hours, I got my 20/20 vision! Thank God.

I had my eye surgery done by Dr. Chan in March. Best life improvement ever! I was born with poor vision issue, and had been wearing glasses or contacts for almost my whole life. The surgery went smoothly and Post surgery recovery was good. During the whole process, I was seen by Mei who gave me a full explanation in regard to which options available is best for my situation and lifestyle. She went above and beyond in terms of making me feel comfortable and at ease with your decision. She was always available when I needed to talk to her. Overall, my experience with LASIK MD was exceptional thanks to the staff but mostly to Mei! I recommend Lasik MD to anyone thinking of having laser eye surgery.

This will be a longer than usual review. I wanted to wait a little longer to leave one but I'm already feeling good. I'm officially 48 hours post op. I have zero complications and am able to clearly see. Definitely some halos around lights at night. Haven't done any long distance driving but eye fatigue is a real thing. And so is dry eyes. Feels like sand in your eye and my initial reaction would always be to rub them. But then you remember you just paid a couple thousand on an eye procedure. I had the custom wavefront procedure. I'm not someone who just jumps into anything. I've researched this procedure and all similar procedures for quite a while. I ended up booking a consultation. First was a Zoom call. A lot of questions were answered but I still had so many. I booked an in person consult. That's when the fun began. When I get to the appointment I'm greeted and go into the waiting room. I do my first set of eye tests and com back out. To my surprise, I run into an old friend in the LASIK office who had the procedure 5 days prior. He was having some issues with his ability to read things close up (laptop, eye drops bottle, etc.) He was very upset that his ability to read things close up had reduced so drastically. Having done my own research I knew that's a possibility. As we age, our eyes regress. That's just life. And this procedure MAY promote that. But, I'm already hesitant about this procedure and began to overthink and research a lot more. Im now thinking to myself "You've worn glasses this long" and such. Anyway, I booked my appointment for the procedure. November 4th, 2022. BEST MONEY I'VE EVER SPENT. I've heard it from so many friends so many times over the years. My recovery was thankfully very very easy. At my 24 hours follow up appointment I was told I have 20/15 vision in one eye and 20/20 in the other. I went for a very short drive that evening and it was not bad at all. I had dry eyes just once and it went away by just gently shutting my eyes for 30 seconds. Prepare yourself for the near 24 hours to yourself in the dark but that's probably the most difficult part of the whole thing. The procedure is super fast and all of the people working there are extremely genuine,caring, and pleasant. I want to specifically mention Mei-Yit. She was absolutely amazing. Answered all of my questions with knowledge plus experience. So very helpful and gave me a lot more ease. It was so very much appreciated. If you are a candidate (not everyone is) do it!! The reviews speak for themselves. Stop wasting time and do it.

So grateful to the whole team at LASIK MD. I recently had refractive eye surgery done. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. The staff there was amazing from start to finish. Very friendly staff. Melanie was very thorough with all the exams and the assistant in the OR (I think her name was Emily?) was very calming and supportive. I had my surgery yesterday morning and I am able to see great. It’s as if I’m wearing contacts and they’re just slightly blurry. This will improve over the first week. Great decision!

Great customer service, they're only a quick phonecall away if you have any questions before or after the procedure. Amazing staff! I was extremely scared during the procedure. The lady in my surgery room offered to hold my hand throughout the 5-10 minute procedure, and consoled me like any family member would. My procedure, and the entire healing process was completely painless. 3 minutes max per eye, completely painless! I had maybe 5-10 minutes of discomfort that night but it went away completely after I used the drops they gave me. Overall 10/10 would recommend! It's definitely worth it.

Wish I did it sooner. The people at Lasik were so efficient and friendly. It's a well oiled machine, but I didn't feel rushed whatsoever. They answered and addressed every question and concern I had and made the overall experience painless. The procedure was remarkably quick. By the time my brain understood what was happening, it was over. Took a day to recover and now I can see better than I ever did with glasses (not the case for everyone, according to their waiver). Id 100% recommend the procedure and the Ottawa clinic.

Very happy I did this. Painless takes a few minute, get your sunglasses and some eye drops...get some sleep. Wake up with better than 20/20 vision. I honestly can't believe I waited this long. I have been worried about getting this done and how silly I was. Excellent staff at LASIK, excellent surgeon, all very professional and friendly. Would do it years earlier if I knew. 1. Lasik does not respect your time. I have had many follow-up appointments scheduled at a specific time, but wait in the waiting room between 15-45 minutes each time. The appointment times are more of a suggestion, so bring a book or some work and make sure to clear up a few hours in uour schedule. 2. Lasik does not properly care for people whose surgery doesn't work. My surgery did not work in either eye. They have been unsympathetic, unclear about the protocol and next steps, unable to answer questions, unable to provide statistics about other cases like mine. They will not let you meet with a surgeon in the case of complications, you can`t get past the optical technicians. If you have the money, go elsewhere, to a more professional clinic with a more personal feel. This place, as another Google reviewer wrote, has a 'factory line' feel to it.

I've had a great experience with the Ottawa LASIK MD clinic. In particular, Shane Smith and Melanie Beaupre made me feel relaxed and comfortable about the procedure. The surgeon was great and walked me through everything, which helped with my pretty significant nerves. Communication was clear and thorough and I'm super happy with my results!

I had my LASIK surgery 2.5 weeks ago and everything has been great! From the initial phone consultation to the surgery, everything was explained very clearly, lots of tests done, and the staff are very friendly. The actual procedure is so quick! Less than 10 mins. Recovery time was very quick too. Surgery was on Friday, I was able to drive again on Saturday, and back at work on Monday. I love not having to wear glasses especially when I play hockey! I love having 20/20 vision!

What a great experience I had recently with Mei as my technician. It has been 9 years since I had my eyes done and I regularly go into have them checked since the surgery. Mei is awesome! She explained everything clearly and in a way I had never been explained before. She even went above and beyond to answer all my questions. What a professional and what a wonderful experience. I now know more about the “why” my vision is how it is.

Wonderful patient services. Always asked if I had any questions, gave lots of information verbally and written. Great follow up after surgery, they called in the evening of the surgery to see how I was doing and had the standard next day visit. Pain the night of the surgery was 10/10 for the first 4-6 hours, I though my eyeballs were on fire. Best thing was to sleep through it and get up when it was time to take the drops. Definitely important to have someone with you post operation. Once the pain subsided I sleep well and the next day was filled with wonder like I had when I was a child seeing things for the first time. There is a whole world of vision and freedom now that is so enjoyable to experience!

I had my procedure done yesterday and what an incredible experience this was! From the moment I walked through the door all the staff members were nothing but polite and so caring! I was very nervous for this procedure and every question I asked was explained in a way that really calmed my nerves! Very efficient, very friendly staff. Procedure were quick and no pain at all. Only the the first day after the surgery eyes feels a little bit sting, but later the day feels the flap merges with my eyes completely. Second day I can see everything clear and normal, keep asking myself why not do this earlier. But life never too late, thank you for the staff and doctor from LASIK MD! Good jobs!!!!!!

I am very pleased with the process as well as the result. LASIK MD has a very friendly and professional team and they ensured my procedure done perfectly. I was able to see super clear even on my way home after the process. No pain or dry eyes at all, although it is normal that people may experience this. My procedure was two weeks ago and recovery was really quick for me. I will definitely recommend LASIK MD if you are considering the procedure.
