Very seldom can you actually get a person on the phone to make appointments; they offer NO walk-in capabilities except on weekends and pretty much YELL at you if you have to go to another clinic because they can not get you an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. The clinic itself is a mix-up of administrators sending you back and forth from one desk to another - apparently on whim. Most of the desk staff seem unhappy and disinterested and the patient is DEFINITELY NOT the focal point of this facility. Dr. Susan Cutler refuses to take appointments except for same day - so you need to call at 8am EVERY morning to try to get an appointment. Wasting hours and hours and hours. Do not recommend either this facility or doctor at all.

Dr Irena Druce is absolutely amazing. She has been my endocrinologist for over a year now and I've never had any issues with her. She is very caring and takes the time to answer any questions and explain things thoroughly. You never feel rushed in an appointment with her. My only issue is the wait time when calling the clinic. There is always a very long queue but at least they offer a callback option

Very rude receptionist, don't care about patients. Tried to drop me as a patient over a dispute over the phone. Had to call back the next day to speak with someone else and get my appointment back. Told my doctor, she pretty much said oh well. If your 1 min late you get refused, yet they make you sit and wait past appointment time. You have to pay to get prescription renewals at the clinic, and the doctor I had just really doesn't care. I've had her for about 10 years. Never follows up and treats you more like a number then a person. I don't recommend this clinic to anyone. The things I've seen and heard are absolutely ridiculous. I have Dr cutler. I'm in process of getting a new doctor. I've made complains about this office to other doctors, they too don't seem too impressed with that clinic. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Been with this clinic for almost 4years. My family doctor is great, albeit physically being away. I hope he’ll be back soon! They seem to have a lot of turnaround lately for the front desk staff but it’s not an excuse to be rude and impolite (i.e. the admin for sitting to the left of the admin for Dr.Wijay). Also, considering that they prioritize phone appointments, you might be better off elsewhere. Don’t recommend anymore. I hope things change soon.

Been here for quite a while now. My doctor is amazing and kind. The front staff are often unfriendly (especially over the phone), but because my doctor is so great I've ignored it for years. However, years later and it still hasn't changed and I'm over it. The receptionists are miserable and SO rude. I honestly wouldn't recommend because of the front staff. Find a more pleasant office.

Dr. Cutler is an amazing doctor and I highly recommend her. The only issue I have is with my inability to get an appointment. They only do same-day bookings, and you have to race to call them at exactly 8:00:00am SHARP. Even if you call and are lucky enough to get high enough in the queue, almost all available appointment slots are pre-booked by Dr. Cutler, leaving you wondering if you REALLY have a family doctor since you can never see her. Before the change, everything ran smoothly and I loved this place. Now, you simply have to jump through hoops for weeks on end to simply get in for an appointment even if it’s just with a nurse. I hope they revert back to the old system.

In this clinic, it is dificult to get an appointment by phone or even if you go to the reception. One of the receptionist first lady at the desk (short gray hair) has no compassion for people, she is rude and disresptful. Very difficult, while being there she made me feel unwelcome. I don't usually write reviews, but I hope this issue can be addressed and will help to improve customer sevice. My doctor is great!

Probably the worst health care “professionals” I have ever met. The receptionist took my information wrong therefore not allowing me to book an appointment for an urgent matter. When explaining the miscommunication on the information and the urgent need for an appointment, she got extremely impatient and even more unwilling to help. What’s the point of being a patient when the receptionists won’t even book you in. When I entered in person to speak about the matter and booking an appointment ( not even with my doctor at this point, just a nurse practitioner) the receptionist was still unwilling to book an appointment despite a practitioner being readily available. All because of information they confused. Not a helpful clinic truly concerned for wellbeing of people who need help and are current patients. Highly do not recommend wasting time at this clinic as a patient as they won’t even help you or try to.

I’ve been going here for a long time as my family doctor and this place has made me uncomfortable with all doctors. Here’s a couple reasons why; 1. When being told I need a Pap smear I agreed to do it but informed my doctor I would need to be walked through it in a trauma informed care fashion, she completely blew that off and explained nothing she was going to do. I’ve seen her since I was 13 and she walked in and saw I wasn’t sitting down properly and said “you’ve done this before right, since you’re 28?” I’m 23. She did the pap and didn’t at all make me comfortable during the process to the point that I was tearing up, she then threw me a paper towel while I’m covered in lube like the worst hookup you could have and walked out and just said “clean up”. I was bleeding when I left and was not on my period. 2. When speaking to her about the desire to get gender affirming top surgery as someone who is non binary, she showed zero understanding of what that is, and even after me having a diagnosis of body dysmorphia she advised me against getting top surgery and talked down to me like this isn’t something I’ve wanted for 6 years but only now am in a place that I could handle the recovery time. She had zero resources for me and was awful at providing trans healthcare. 3. Any time I try to book an appointment she’s gone. First it was vacations all the time, then maternity leave (fair enough), then more vacations, then random leaves. Getting an appointment with her is nightmare fuel you just get passed off to her husband who is just as difficult as she is and also is not trained in trans informed health care. This is Dr. Cucaan

Do yourself a favour and find anywhere else to go. By far the worst doctors office I have ever been to. From the booking systems to the staff. Had an exam with a nurse which required me to take my pants off. Does she get me a sheet or wait for me to put my pants on before opening the door for the world to see… nope. No regard for me or my privacy . Went home embarrassed and very sad . Still no resolution to this day, update still the worst calls and canceled my appointment two hours before stating they made a mix up, and that I’m out of luck to get my meds which I’ve taken since I was 18, 6 years. Cash grab trying to make me come in every 3 months all of a sudden . But when I booked my 3 months I’m called and canceled saying my doctors and vacation and then call back at 8 for the next few days and we’ll see if we can get you a walk-in. My meds can cause seizures if stopped which I have had in the past. The Receptionist says maybe you should go to the er…. Can I just get someone to see to refill my meds …

Been waiting to see doctor for 2yrs, always booked. Never told can see walk in. Staff are not helpful and the doctors are just there to fill prescriptions, not to offer any help. I'm seriously losing all faith in the medical field... pathetic

Doctor Zakeriya (I hope I spelt that right) is the best doctor in Canada. Words cannot describe how awesome she is. Her attention to detail, her empathy and concern for her patients, and even her patience with annoying patients like me. I rate her a 10 out of 5! Thanks Doc

Because of unexpected traffic I arrived 10 minutes late for my appointment. They refused to admit me. And I was told that my own doctor(Dr. Wijay) was not available, yet my appointment was with Dr Wijay. I should have been told that I would be seen by another doctor. It is unethical and simply bad management to switch doctors without the patient consent and should never happen.

The receptionist in house is great but service over the phone is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced not just in regards to healthcare but in general. The staff is rude, dismissive, and condescending. I do not recommend this clinic. Just calling to get a prescription sent to a new pharmacy I’m treated like a problem rather than a patient. It’s disgusting how they trans people who are ultimately just concerned about their health.

Doctors and nurses are great, but we can never get in to see them, so it's pretty useless. Took us 2 weeks just to get a blood req for our one month old... after our midwife had sent in a request.

The staff at Family First are wonderful. The receptionists are knowledgeable and patient when making appointments or requesting information. Our Dr., Dr. Woodend has been our primary care physician for close to 13 years. She leaves spots in her schedule to ensure her patients are seen promptly and goes above and beyond to ensure that our issues are addressed in a timely manner. Moreover, she doesn't hesitate to refer a specialist when it is warranted. I highly recommend Primacy, Family First Health Centre.

The doctors throw pills at you in hopes that you feel better but never take the time to actually follow up or sit and talk with her patients... I'm leaving this clinic. There are far more professional people out there that care.

Most of the front staff in reception are rude and arrogant I wish there was a better management for staff, with no patient there will be no job for them, then why are they rude???? Can someone teach them the meaning of customer service and being humans? Sometimes a little bit smile will be helpful. Is anyone even reading the reviews?

Dr. Cutler is the absolute best family doctor going. The person who rated her a 1/5 or whatever and bad mouthed her doesn’t know what he’s talking about. It’s a 2 way street, how you treat and talk to people. She is very professional, kind and she goes the extra distance. We we’re so happy when we we’re accepted by her when our other family doctor retired. We’ve been with her for close to 10 years now. No complaints! She’s the best!!

Dr. Chopra is my family physician. She is wonderful. Very caring and thorough. I have always had positive experiences with the front end staff also. They have an excellent phone system that allows me to opt into getting a call back and I have always found the staff to be very friendly and they do their best to get you in quickly.

Amazing service, warm friendly and welcoming. Queer and trans-friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Druce if you need an endocrinologist. She is very professional and knowledgeable. She caught things that my endocrinologist in Montreal missed and addressed these issues thoroughly with extensive testing and education. I have gotten two other people seen by her and they are equally if not more happy than I am.

Dr Wong is personable but he is not a functional integrative medical Doctor. He is a what we call conventional doctor which is reductionist acute science which means they're mostly only good for immediate trauma and aren't very good for preventing or reversing things because they don't analyze individual biochemistry and lifestyle and especially cellular health! After all have you ever met someone proud to have their organs removed with a straight face and wonder why they had to get it removed in the first place? Very bizarre world! Basically what it means is that modern science is reductionist and separates body components into some component parts which is very good for a car assembly line but not good for humans. Indeed the reference ranges for North America are far too low which means basically that the standards for cellular health are extremely poor and a big reason why people get sick with much of anything. If they did address cellular deficiencies and toxicities there would be very little sicknesses including surgeries and perpetual pill prescriptions. My Doctor is great but getting an appointment when in serious pain is next to impossible. I understand there are shortages but waiting 3 days minimum to so a phone consultation when your back is so sore you can't work is unacceptable. Also all appointments must be by phone first instead of seeing a doctor.

My family of three with Dr Susan Cutler for 8 years. She is very very kind. She even remembered my hobby, which caused my knee injury about 3 years ago. We might complain how difficult to get an appointment, but never complained about the service we received from the doctor. Sonia Wang

I don’t write many reviews, but I definitely felt this one was warranted. Dr. Susan Cutler has been my doctor for about 8 years now and she’s been really supportive and amazing to me. She listens to my concerns, which can sometimes be hard to find. She takes the time to ask me how I am doing and despite having a million clients, she always remembers details about my life. A good doctor is worth their weight in gold and I definitely feel I’ve found that. Thank you for always treating me with compassion and respect. You’re in the right line of work, Dr.Cutler!

My family doctor 'Dr Cucan' is caring, respectful to patients, and very knowledgeable. However, the receptionist who usually returns your calls (Kim), is extremely rude and condescending. She definitely needs customer service coaching. It has been several times that I get this attitude when I talk to her on the phone.

I've never had a bad experience here yet. Wait times to get through on the phone are sometimes long, but they offer a callback, so I don't have to wait on the phone for them. There's also an online booking service, but I don't know what that's like since I haven't signed up for it yet.

I had some concerning moles and asked for a referral to a dermatologist. Dr. Zakeriya called me for my phone appointment and then had referred me very quickly, and I was able to see a Dermatologist within a few weeks (which is insanely fast, actually). I have always received considerate and professional care from Dr. Zakeriya and most of the staff I've interacted with. The only unprofessional experience I had was with an ultrasound tech who told me I wasn't getting any younger when I said I didn't have kids, but that was literally years ago and would I would not fault this clinic for it.

They have a horrible system in place making you call daily at 8am to try to get an appointment for the day. My wife never even received a call back for her appointment and when she called, they lied and said they called her and couldn’t get her an appointment anymore that day. If you value your health, avoid this clinic because you’ll never get the care you need even if it’s urgent…

  • 1/5 Hank R. 2 years ago on Google
My doctor is on vacation ( he's really good) and I developed a problem that is giving me pain so I called to speak with a nurse practitioner or another doctor. Today is Monday and I was told everyone was booked till next week. I sarcastically said "Well I guess I will have to go to a walk in clinic to get checked" The receptionist said that would be my best bet.

  • 1/5 Sarah M. 2 years ago on Google
My doctor is great, unfortunately, I have been calling to book an appointment for the past 3 days and nothing. The way this office works is so inefficient , it's beyond ridiculous. You have to call at 8am to book your appointment, I have been doing just that and when I get to talk to someone, your doctor is already full for the day. It's just a waste of time to have a family doctor here, you're not able to talk to them when you need.

My previous Dr at a diff location, just wrote scripts. At FFHC, Dr Cucan diagnosed me as diabetic at my first appointment (by looking at blood results that my previous Dr had seen), and they have a great team of specialists (Nurse specializing in diabetes, dietitian/nutritionist, and a clinical pharmacist Cristoff who I routinely meet with to assess how all of my meds are working). Very professional. Very impressed!

I always receive top notch service from this medical office. Receptionists have always been pleasant and efficient both on the phone and in person. I always seem to be able to get in to see my doctor, Dr Bonnaci who is very easy to talk to and just a really nice person and his two fantastic NPs Meghan and Stacey. Unfortunately they saw me often this summer and never made me feel like an inconvenience. Thanks so much.
