As
someone
who
has
struggled
to
properly
recover
from
chronic
hip,
knee,
elbow
and
shoulder
injuries,
Kazam
helped
give
me
the
tools
to
finally
be
able
to
properly
implement
the
corrective
exercises
given
to
me
by
physiotherapist/coaches
over
the
past
8-10
years.
After
the
first
class,
I
was
hooked.
Alexās
ability
to
see
where
I
was
compensating/where
my
form
or
posture
was
failing
during
movements
was
second
to
none.
I
felt
like
I
was
getting
one-on-one
therapy,
but
in
reality
I
was
in
a
large
group
fitness
class.
Many
of
the
exercises
we
performed
in
Kazamās
classes
were
widely
available/popular
online.
However,
the
problem
(IMO)
with
performing
these
types
of
workouts/exercises
at
home
is
that
you
may
not
be
aware
of
where
your
form
fails/where
you
are
compensating.
After
joining
Kazam
I
was
able
to
feel
the
full
benefits
of
these
exercises
I
had
been
performing
at
home
over
the
years,
and
finally
start
to
see
an
actual
progression
in
my
strength.
In
addition
to
that,
I
quicky
saw
how
these
skills/strength
transferred
over
to
other
sports
like
hockey
and
rock
climbing.
For
example,
the
Handstand
class
helped
me
develop
proper
shoulder
mobility,
scapular
control,
and
then
I
was
able
to
transfer
this
over
to
rock
climbing.
It
has
made
me
feel
a
lot
stronger
when
I
have
my
arms
overhead
pulling
on
holds,
and
has
allowed
me
to
put
less
stress
through
my
fingers.
After
realizing
I
had
been
hinging
at
my
hips
improperly
for
most
my
life,
I
was
able
to
become
proficient
with
this
movement,
and
transfer
it
onto
the
ice
while
playing
hockey.
Another
benefit
of
Kazamās
classes
is
that
the
participants
encompass
a
range
of
abilities,
from
beginners
to
ex-gymnasts,
which
should
make
anyone
looking
to
join
feel
comfortable
knowing
there
will
be
other
members
of
similar
skill/fitness
level.
Additionally,
the
community
at
Kazam
is
incredibly
encouraging,
and
have
developed
an
eye
to
help
other
members
correct
their
form
during
movements.
After
3-4
months
of
attending
Kazamās
classes
quite
regularly,
Iāve
become
way
more
aware
of
my
bodyās
posture,
as
well
as
how
my
spine,
hips,
and
shoulders
should
be
moving
during
various
exercises.
For
example,
for
years
I
would
keep
my
pelvis
posteriorly
tucked
during
hinge
movements
like
a
deadlift,
or
skating
(in
hockey).
However,
Kazamās
classes
quickly
made
me
see
what
I
was
doing
wrong,
I
was
given
proper
cues
on
how
to
correctly
hinge,
and
over
a
period
of
weeks
I
became
quite
comfortable
with
this
movement.
I
would
recommend
Kazam
to
almost
anyone
who
isnāt
an
athlete
that
already
has
a
coach/therapist
properly
addressing
their
movement
patterns.
For
the
individual
who
sits
at
a
desk
all
day,
or
stands
all
day,
Kazam
will
help
you
explore
new
movement
patterns
and
get
you
out
of
the
postures
you
find
yourself
stuck
in.
I
believe
it
would
also
benefit
any
athlete
or
gym-goer
who
is
struggling
with
chronic
joint/muscle
pain,
and
has
not
been
able
to
benefit
from
other
forms
of
therapy
(whether
that
be
PT,
chiro,
osteopathy
etcā¦)
All
in
all,
in
3-4
months
of
being
a
member,
Kazam
has
given
me
the
tools
to
take
my
fitness
to
the
next
level,
and
finally
move
on
from
the
chronic
injuries
Iāve
experienced
for
so
much
of
my
life.
I
will
for
sure
be
joining
the
group
again
in
the
future
once
life
circumstances
allow
me
to
attend
more
regularly.
