Located on Wellington and Metcalfe st (route 89), facing Canada's Parliament Buildings, is the Capital Information Kiosk. This is where you can find lots of free maps and tourist attraction information, advice and brouchers to help guide you on your trip to Ottawa. Staff are friendly and offer services in French and English. They usually have people that can also speak other languages too. Before coming to Ottawa, go online to book your free guided tour of Parliament Hill, House of Commons and Senate buildings @ visit.parl.ca Tickets, times and tour languages are limited and subject to availability. If you like my reviews, photos or videos when you visit hit the thumbs up button

No need to queue here for ticket. Simply book the ticket online via visit.parl.ca and find the availability. The ticket is free. You can only visit Senate and House of Commons for now. Center Block is under construction and not open for public for 10 years. Crazy?! Right!

Tickets for the free tours of the Parliament buildings can be obtained here but they go very fast so line up early. Be sure to grab a copy of the self-guide booklet called Discover the Hill to better appreciate the many attractions within the Parliament, including monuments and public art. If you are carrying a big bag, be sure to deposit it here before going to the tour or you won't be allowed in. The bilingual staff here is friendly and competent, patiently answering all questions from visitors. There is a restroom at the basement of the building.

Arrive early, stay hydrated, and bring lots of patience if you're planning on visiting on a weekend or holiday. By 8:30am the line was nearly 2 blocks long to get into the Kiosk.

She was nice, I asked about the hill and she said they are starting restoration underground so some of the lawn is blocked off. Not sure if you can still do tours. I asked about the canal and Somerset to Bank Street (Good) and Does Lake (Fair) us open. The only skate rental is at Does Lake. Winterlude starts Jan 31.

Free tickets to Parliament of Canada tour starts here. Come early, because the lines are long and tickets are limited per day.

Very helpful and friendly staff, this is where you can get the tour ticket for the parliament; make sure to get there early in the morning if you want the English version tour.

Nothing is open in this town....checked all hours online and showed up when it said it was open and it wasn't.... building has 2 tiny paper signs saying new hours and it's not even on the entrance door..... very frustrating when the parliament hill visitors centre is complete closed for construction. Not impressed

Well placed downtown, however, the francophone staff are poorly able to identify the most obvious requests from tourists and take the path of least resistance. You can walk to Quebec from this site over your choice of bridges, one offers a more spectacular view than the other. Yet I have seen Chinese and other tourists sent to Quebec City because they asked in English, a language the staff do not understand well enough to work in the tourism industry.

It is closed for most of the week. We were there on a Friday at 11 am and it was closed during March Break. Tons of tourists and it is closed

The commissionaire tries to stop the public by going hands on people who are trying to use the public bathroom. He violates their rights and speaks in a condescending tone to the public. Info workers ignore you when asking them questions. Pulic washrooms for the public
