Great water taxi. Goes right to the History Museum. Tickets are (slightly) cheaper to buy on the boat than they are if you pre-book.

I have good experience with aqua taxi. It’s very reasonable price. You can take great pictures from aqua taxi

It was an average experience. The ferry/bus goes really slow. I honestly thought something else but it was a ride in the canal at 10km/hr. But they do tell about ottawa's history if anyone is interested. I think it would be fun on a cloudy or rainy day - to be in the canal.

One of Ottawa little hidden gems. A ride on the Ottawa river in a small pantoon style boat between the Navy Monument (Mill St. Restaurant) - Canadian Civilization Museum (Gatineau) - Rideau Canal (Le Chateau). Cost $5/person and its regular 20 minutes intervals. Ride is smooth, easy and gives you scenic view of Parliament Hill from the water. Well worth it.

The service was prompt and very enjoyable. Beautiful views of Ottawa and Gatineau from the river. I don't know how much a regular taxi is but we found the pricing very affordable, especially for the experience.

(Translated by Google) A water taxi that crosses the Ottawa River and connects Ontario and Quebec. Because it sails with an electric engine, there is no gasoline smell and it is very quiet. You can enjoy comfortably without the loud sound guides and onboard broadcasts that are common to tourist ships. From the dock at the bottom of the Rideau Canal to the Canadian Historical Museum across the river, you can cross for $ 7 for 8 minutes each way. The magnificent Parliament Library behind the Canadian Parliament is also visible from the river side. Seasonal operation from mid-June to mid-October. The easiest way to get to the Hilton Lac-Leamy and casino from the Ontario side. It is now called Aqua Taxi, but at the time it was founded, it was a very emotional company name in French called Au Feel de l'Eau. If you search the net, old articles will still appear with this name.

What a fun, affordable way to get around! Knowledgeable, friendly captains got where we were going (Ottawa Parliament to Gatineau at museum). Very dog-friendly.

A fun way to see Ottawa. Took the boat to Quebec, then walked back across the bridge. Our boat captain was very nice.

We took this water taxi as a touring experience. Costed about 7 cad for a single ride. Tickets are to be used the same day itself, maybe they could change that.

It was too ‘tornado-wy’ windy for the the boat to get to Richmond Landing where I wanted to get to from Gatineau but I got some great views nonetheless on the short trip to the Rideau Locks. It was a longer walk than originally planned to Lebreton Flats. Lol
