Pretty big rink that has night lights and a zomboni that comes over every time the ice seem to be cleaned (~45mins). I come from Gatineau just for that spot because it's so well maintained.

What a great rink. Outdoors, beside the historic Aberdeen pavilion on one side and the equally historic Rideau canal on the other. The venue is wonderful and not too crowded. Bathroom facilities are available at nearby restaurants. Since the ice surface is cooled, it is not as susceptible to weather conditions. Bring a toque, some mittens and a big smile!

A little rink good for practice skating. If you go at the right time you can have it all to yourself.

Crowded and not well maintained. People were standing in the rink bothering skaters.

Great facility. Easy access, heated change facility. Only drawback is that you need to climb some stairs in skates to get in and out of the change facility.

This rink is impossibly small----hard to find a space to even skate! The staff are usually nowhere to be seen, and on the rare occasion they are, they're on their phones. The ice between the heated change hut and the rink itself is absolutely preposterous.

Great for figure skaters who want to practice, especially during off peak hours 😀

Nice rink. A bit small. Crowded because of lockdown/COVID but apparently there will be a new reservation system starting tomorrow which should help mitigate the crowd.

Pleasant outdoor venue for skating. Limited parking is available along the road by the rink and there is a parking fee, although the ticket machine doesn't always work properly.

Nice good ice go at night Zamboni cleans it in between skates.

Beautiful surroundings. Wonderful ice surface. People should be made more aware through signage of the nice facility for changing their skates. The signs may lead one to think it may have a different use.

Nice little rink. Not too crowded on a Wednesday afternoon.

👍👍 Lansdowne area is the place to be during spring or summer, to have a walk among mighty tulips and sprouting plants, with flowering trees and dining green grass. Kids can play and parents can enjoy quality time. Strongly recommended. Reviewed by Tarek Belghith, RZ Network Canada.

👍👍 The Rideau Hall skating rink is open to the public Saturday and Sunday afternoons. There’s a beautiful woodstove-warmed hut to put your skates on in and a knowledgeable guide to tell you about history of the house and grounds. The ice is refrigerated and zamboni maintained so it’s usually in great s...
