Great escape rooms in Ottawa. The riddles are interesting. So far we have passed only one of them. Will definitely be back for more. Won’t post any more photos from I side the rooms to avoid spoiling.

We did the illusionist room, which was loads of fun, very well done. We then ate brunch which was absolutely delicious, a definite must try. We will definitely come back to eat here again, and why not do another escape ruin while we're here! Did I mention the entire staff was so friendly 😊

We enjoyed their escape room. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star as opposed to 5 is because they only give you 45 minutes. I felt like we were very rushed and if we had a full hour, we wouldn’t have needed any clues. Also, I’ve been to the jigsaw and the rooms there were better. Not in terms of setting or anything. But I enjoyed that every lock opened a new thing. In the escape major, you had to open 3 different locks to just open the fridge or a door.

Really great service, fun and delicious food! I would recommend for a date night or girls night! The sweet potato fries on the apps menu was amazing! I never thought the combination would work but wow we were all amazed by how delicious they were. The burger by far was the best dish our table had. Highly recommend the burger. We had both the churros and the apple pie for dessert, both delicious. Can't wait to go back to try more items on the delicious menu. Our server was also fantastic. Thank you Maddie for making our escape experience amazing! Will definitely be back!!!

We escaped! It was a fun experience, and would definitely recommend it as a great friend group activity. The food was good, nothing extraordinary. We had to wait a bit for it. The service was great, Lilly was an amazing server.

What an awesome place! With so much to do, there’s never a dull moment! We had the pleasure of bringing our staff there for a staff appreciation party, and team building event. The service was great. The food was exceptional and the escape rooms were so much fun!! Everyone had a blast and we will all be returning!! 💯

Really beautiful spot with allot of potential you can see that allot of work was put into it to fix up what was the Hooleys. The bar could use some expansion as it is pretty basic and does not have a selection expected from a Ottawa bar scene. I really enjoyed the dart board and there were allot of games to play. The escape room we played was on the medium to easy level. I need to go a few more times and try the food but I am excited to see how this place evolves and finds its place on the elgin scene.

My friend and I escaped The Darkness with (apparently) 45seconds to spare! They took our picture and uploaded it to their Facebook page :) Our host, Candy I believe, was amazing! She mentioned that this was her favourite room, and her passion in story telling and giving hints really showed it. The other staff were also very welcoming upon arrival and very accommodating as we arrived before our booked time. Definitely a great decision to book here during our vacation away from Toronto, would love to try different rooms next time we’re back in Ottawa.

My friends and I absolutely loved the Ottawa Diefenbunker Escape Room. We had a great time with the whole experience from the mini tour and large bunker for the mission. We were so happy to succeed even in a small group and are looking to come back to escape the other floor!

A group of friends and I went here for the Escape room / dining + drinks experience. Very nice decor, feels a bit fancy but laid back at the same time. The drinks were steeply priced and the food was mediocre. A friend had to return his burger as it was really undercooked. I gave him half of mine when everyone was done dining so he could eat and his replacement burger finally arrived, burnt. It's like they recooked the same undercooked burger. Was not impressed and he did not eat the replacement burger as everyone was done eating. Management was nice enough to offer the meal free of charge without him asking, so that's a plus.

My wife and I came here for a date night and had a great time. We had some of the cocktails off the menu which were delicious and then shared some food which was also very good. We had reserved the bocce ball lane for an hour. Our server Sydney was amazing! She restored our faith in the service industry as it has been lacking since covid. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Her service was fast and precise. We'll definitely be back!

Such a fun place and I even escaped the escape room!!!!! We started with dinner - delicious food with veggie options. We played the games in their games room. And then our group was split in two groups and we each had to escape - so happy because it was the first time I ever escaped !!!!! Highly recommend :)

An institution with a quest room, you need to get out of the room in a certain time, there is also a bar where you can drink a cocktail, eat and stay to play games such as darts, uno, jenga, all sorts of card games. Very nice place .

We had a fantastic time! The staff were friendly and helpful and the experience was a ton of fun. There were 12 of us in total and the 3 groups of 4 people worked really well. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back to try another soon.

My boyfriend and I visited yesterday with friends of ours and were so thrilled with our entire experience. The escape room was challenging and so much fun. The lounge has phenomenal food and cocktails, the dart games are a great time, and we were thrilled to see gluten-free options for our celiac friend(s). 10/10 will be back!

Loved the atmosphere, plenty of very cool games. I'd highly recommend it as a place to hang out with friends.

This was my second escape room and my husbands first but he booked it for my birthday as he knows I love puzzles. We did Prohibited at Elgin Street and I personally love you can do it with two people as I used to think you needed a big group, which is why we never looked into it. It was a challenge for sure with a lot of misdirects. Although we aren’t super old some of it was hard to see without a flashlight so make sure you have your phone as our eyes struggled. We ended up escaping but without some of the components you are supposed to have so we went back into the room thinking we didn’t complete it and almost got the documents before our time ran out but we were told the escape still counted (really it was just our pride that was happy about that). It was a lot of fun, and we played shuffleboard after and had some delicious cocktails. It was definitely a great way to spend a birthday and a lot of fun. Will definitely come back for another round sometime!

Did the illusionist 🪄escape room last night as a birthday celebration with some friends and had an amazing time. Every staff member we encountered had great energy, including our server and the hosts! We were late for our dinner reservation before the escape room and they were very accommodating. The cocktails we had were good. The room itself was very fun, we finished it within seconds and with (a lot) of hints, but the group was 3/5 new to escape rooms. Our host, Shawn, was amazing. Super helpful and encouraging with the hints, and joking with us over the walkie talkie. We could not say enough good things about him. Thanks for a great birthday!

I’ve been to a lot of escape room locations and this one far exceeds the others. The lounge is a beautiful restaurant area with a nice menu that includes multiple vegetarian/vegan options. The escape rooms are well setup and the staff were energetic, fun, and friendly. The back room has tons of games including board games. This is a great place for a night out.

I've done two escape rooms at this location over the years, and they've stood as the best experiences I've had, with clever puzzles, clues, and excellent sets & props. I'll definitely be back!

First timer, we did the Beau's Brewery room. From start to finish, we were surrounded by staff who were enthusiastic and truly love what they do. My husband and I had a blast and will definitely be back!!!

Very great escape room! We did the Cabin 13 room, it was perfect for all types of skill levels. Our group had first timers and a few somewhat experienced members and we all found ways to help eachother out to solve the clues. Staff was also very welcoming and encouraging, definitely recommend checking them out!

The escape rooms were fun and challenging! The actors were funny and entertaining! The escape room place gets 5 stars and the restaurant/bar gets 3.5 stars. The bar tenders made amazing drinks (which made up for the rest) but the food was mediocre. My work organization bought out the restaurant for the night and we had fun spending the evening there playing games and drinking but we quickly ran out of food and didn’t have enough options to accommodate our group and everyone’s dieters restrictions. I wish they improved the food quality & quantity for a place with such high prices.

Great place! We were greeted by Ewan upon arrival. He was so wonderful to chat with. We did Asylum. The room is fantastic. Challenging and excellent theming. Already booked a return visit for next week!

Lots of fun. Good food and service upstairs, menu is maybe a bit pricey. Great escape room - our team were definitely NOT a well oiled machine but I had a blast. Hope to go back.

I didn't escape with a satisfied stomach, that's for sure! Food was cold, terrible taste, small portions and so expensive. Had a glass of wine spilled all over on 2 of us, with almost no help from staff to clean up until I asked, no replacement drinks . The escape room was fun and accounts for the 2 stars.

I went to the Diefenbunker and we had a great time solving puzzles around a truly historical place. It was challenging, interesting and fun. 5 stars!

VERY displeased with the service received at the downtown location. Last weekend my spouse and I held a corporate event there and booked 2 escape rooms, bocce ball and a dining table. My spouse led half of our team in one room and then I was to follow with the other half in a later room. Prior to the escape rooms I asked if my team was ok to leave their possessions at the table while in the rooms as we had a reservation until 1800 to which I was told yes by two of our waitstaff. While my husband was in his escape room I was approached by the hostess whom I believe was addressed as Melanie and was advised I needed to move all my teams' belongings as the table we held was needed to accommodate another reservation. I was upset because I was previously told that we were fine to leave our items as we had booked the space from 1430-1800. I was even more displeased when I heard Melanie say to her colleagues "I don't get why this woman is so pissed, it's not MY fault someone overbooked." As a people manager,this was disrespectful, unprofessional and unacceptable behavior to be quite frank. Any enjoyment I was having that afternoon was instantly wiped away as my team was made to feel like an inconvenience and burden to "her" day. Her lack of remorse and willingness to listen to what I had already been assured "wasn't an issue" was, in fact, a big issue. I am writing this public review in hopes that someone actually responds to my concerns as I have tried to contact the downtown location with no answers since my rotten experience last Saturday. I am giving a two star rating as the food was enjoyable and our waitstaff was pleasant. If I hadn't had my business team there as my guests and if it were just my husband and I, I would've walked out after a Melanie's comment. I look forward to a reply. Thank you.

Never a dull time with every escape giving a different experience. I always have fun with my friends and super rewarding when you can make it out before the clock winds down! Not to mention, the staff is great; very friendly, patient and helpful. Can't wait till our next go at Escape Manor!

Service is always great here and the staff are very friendly. Only thing that needs some updating are the escape rooms. The scenarios are all quite good and challenging but some of the props are super worn out. Some of the markings on the walls and props are no longer clear and other items are so abused it's very clear how they are supposed to be used.

We booked the rooms at the Diefenbunker for a team get together. We had a group of around 20 so we reserved both escape rooms there. It was so much fun! The staff and hosts were amazing and the escape rooms were setup really well. Our whole group immediately said that they wanted to do it again! Absolutely recommend the team at the Diefenbunker and Escape Manor. Thank you for all the fun!

Our group had a great time in the Diefenbunker playing "Covert-Ops". My husband and I have done over 100 escape rooms and this was definitely one of the most unique. The puzzles were fairly good, not the best we've seen (and quite Canada-centric, some of them requiring knowledge which as foreigners we didn't have), but anything lacking in the puzzles was more than made up for by the unique and really cool location of the room. The short tour before starting the room was excellent too. I like the fact that there are three parallel paths with different difficulties, so that if there's a mix of abilities in the group different people can choose different difficulties. However, I didn't like the fact that you still have to pay for a minimum of 6 players even if you don't have that many people - it made the experience quite expensive for us. I also didn't like having the games master present in the room - at times it was helpful, but there were a few times she asked me how it was going when I was in the middle of concentrating on doing a puzzle, and this was quite distracting. Aside from this, the staff were great, and I would really recommend the room. I'd love to go back and play Radioactive if I weren't leaving the country!

Lovely staff that's there to entertain you before and after your escape room experience. The rooms are fantastic! We've completed all of them and they really do a great job getting you into the atmosphere of the story behind them. My personal favorite room was The Darkness.

We were disappointed. We did the Cabin room and there was an element they are no longer using but they left part of it in the room which led to us wasting about 25 minutes of our time trying to get a hint the wrong way. We've have done many escape rooms in the past.

Staff at the Queen st location was absolutely incredible for me and my fiancés first time doing the darkness! We were immediately given a very warm welcome, explained things very thoroughly and the room was a lot of fun! HIGHLY recommend! We did end up booking again as soon as we finished, can’t wait to go back.

We have done many escape rooms with Escape Manor but our most recent was the Diefenbunker which was awesome! Great hosts and staff. Such a great experience and we escaped!

Enjoy these escape rooms very much! Well done - interesting and challenging (for us anyway!) Great value and a great form of entertainment. We especially love being able to get together with family and attempt these escapes! Loads of fun! p.s. thank heavens for hints :-)

We escaped the Diefenbunker Radioactive with a team of six. Lots of fun. Creative puzzles. Not too easy or too hard. Strongly recommend

Escape Manor is THE premium escape experience in Ottawa. I highly recommend any of their rooms; I’ve played about 20 of them at their various locations. I am very much looking forward to their flagship location opening soon in Ottawa, which I hear will be similar to their Toronto and Hamilton locations. I’ve been to their Toronto location; it’s an awesome experience!

Such a fun activity to do with friends! The rooms are really cool and original! The staff are all great. The snack bar and drinks are a nice touch. I would go again for sure.
