I love going to St. Joe’s. They are very welcoming and really try to engage all parishioners. They have a welcome desk and you can sign up when you arrive(for newcomers). I received a welcome email and an invitation to join the person for tea so I could get acquainted with the parish. Before mass begins you are invited to introduce yourself to those next to you. We have not been going as often as we would like because we live across town but we really miss it. Hoping to start going regularly again in the next couple of weeks. A truly magical place! I highly recommend it.

Very friendly & welcoming parishioners. Communion in both species. In full support of the Pope's message to care for the natural world around us. 💒👼🙏📿🌎

I have met such genuinely lovely and generous people at St. Joe's -- people who care deeply about serving the marginalized, the poor, students of all backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community and those struggling with addiction. The music during Mass is beautiful and the preaching by both priests and lay men and women is intelligent and full of compassion for all. I'm blown away by the generosity and kindness of their parishioners, volunteers and staff. St. Joe's is what it means to be Catholic.

During my short stay in Ottawa as a grad student, I felt like the parish community here at St Joseph’s was the most accommodating and welcoming to students from all walks of life and backgrounds. The volunteering, outreach programs and fundraising events for different sectors of the underserved population are essential in establishing a connection to the community. Going to mass wasn’t just about praying but also about helping others in practical ways.

I haven't been coming to St Joe's since I was a child. My dad has always been a faithful patron and supporter. We really enjoyed going to a small service together :-) Great staff and limited parking available beside church.

One of the most welcoming parishes I've ever been too--and I'm a young adult who has been attending Mass all my life. Visiting town and loved the Service. Great first holy communion lesson taught by Sunday School Teacher. Beautiful and moving choir with complex harmonies. Prayers of petition spoke of caring for each other and our planet. Diverse congregation and rainbow flag marking June. Kind parishioners with kind hearts.

Saint Joseph’s has been my church since my University days. I am a Torontonian with parents in Ottawa so I make it a point to visit and have mass at Saint Joseph’s every time I am in Ottawa. I am looking forward to Christmas Eve mass and the singing....very warm and welcoming...

Hi, I am the guy with the basketball hat! This church is beautiful. My daughter's choir practices are held here. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star is because of parking inconvenience. The church is surrounded by the University of Ottawa student housing; therefore, no free parking is available.

👍👍 This church is truly very beautiful. I am not a Catholic, I follow Gnostic Tradition, but was raised a Catholic. I have respect and appreciation for the many branches of Christian tradition, but also a few others. Nonetheless! As a house of worship, this is a very gorgeous building, both outside an...
