Visited in November 2022: I home cook for my dog so my visit was to buy a plate for my pup. With that being said, I couldn't comment much on the selection of food, but this store seemed to be fully stocked as the selves were full from what I could see. Staff seemed friendly!

I drive by 3 other pet food stores to get there. The selection is perfect. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The tiny sample packages are great for transitioning to another food. This is the best store I have gone to for many years. I have sent my friends there too.

i bought food and treats... but not sure why all things from this store smells like expired or very close to expire as marked!!! Even said, it's not allowed to return. How could the banko beef stick smelled so badly, even my dog don't like it!!!! we called back, and just got answer "EVERYTHING IS NORMAL!!"... Please, it's so obviously not normal. Finally they called their mgr and got the beef stick returned..... then i wen to Eagleson store again, and bought a bag of food which is to expire in Aug. 2022!!!! Why food from this store is to expire in May 2020, and it seems very dry....

Walked in the store around 7 ish, the girl at the counter had her feet up on the desk and was on the phone. I didnt think much of it but while being in the store for about 10 mins looking around she didnt say hi or offer me any assistance at all even when leaving and walking right in front of the desk to leave. Horrible customer service. Shop else where if you want actual customer service.

Location: Ottawa, Ontario. On Hunt Club road at Riverside, next to T&T Supermarket, near the airport. I go here about once a month, and every time I go, they recognize me and know what I want. These people are great: every employee has been very nice to me, and helpful. What's great about this location : they offer a 10 percent discount on all orders over 200 dollars before taxes (in writing this on June 7th, 2023: they may raise the minimum purchase in the future as inflation causes costs to rise. I own two German Shepherd dogs, and they eat A LOT. I time my visits so that I buy over 200 dollars to get my discount (so far, this is the only location I know that is offering this), and that saves me over 20 bucks plus tax! I go at least 10 times a year (we lost a dog, so bags are lasting longer now), so that adds up to over 250 dollars a year. That's real savings for me, for I drive a truck and gas is expensive: it's like they are paying for my gas to shop there. Selection: Global Pet Foods sells Acana (by Orijin), and I always buy two 17kg bags. If they don't have 2 bags, I just pay for two (to get my discount - they write it into a log book in front of you), and they let me know when the second bag arrives. They put the bag in the back with my name on it, and I pick it up when it's convenient for me. They have lots of other brands, both cat and dog food, plus other animal feed. Their treats section has something for almost every pet, plus they sell raw food. And they have a big selection of toys, collars, leashes, etc... Behind their counter is all the medicine and topical creams, etc: the stuff you don't need to buy at the vet. All the locations I've visited in the Ottawa region are nice, but this one stands out, and the 10% discount is the cherry on top.

Have been going here recently to get my Forza 10 renal acti-wet and acti-dry. Excellent shop, got excellent customer service from Mia. She definitely knows her stuff.

Nice store, best selection of cat food I've ever seen! Would have given this store 5 stars but every time we go they have a problem with their price scanner when cashing out.

This is a review of Global Pet foods at 228 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa. I have had great experiences with other locations in the city. Emails get no response. Phone messages are ignored. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I received no response to 4 emails and two phone calls about my order. I asked them to cancel the order because of all the confusion and I received no response. Then I get an email pick-up confirmation - stating “thank you for picking up your order”. Which I had not done. So this prompts me to call the store AGAIN and to cancel the order, no one answered again. I left a message. I waited for three weeks to get the cancellation email and have my credit card refunded- nothing. They finally got what they wanted and I had to pick-up the order…which I no longer needed, because they would not refund my money. Incredibly bad customer service.

Really unfriendly, unhelpful staff everytime I come here, which is a shame cause they always stock what I need. The woman working last time I went made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Great healthy food for my dogs, friendly staff within the store who are very dedicated to animals. I enjoy the layout for a smaller store, makes it easy to find the food (Orijin and Acana) that we feed our huskies
