We had the displeasure of reading the other reviews while waiting in line. Read up on the mentions of how poorly the staff is treated with this management especially employee reviews on reddit. Mentions of awful working conditions/practices, blatant racism, discrimination, s*xual harassment. Not that anything could redeem the management, but even the food itself is poorly seasoned. Salad had barely any seasoning, seems like it was flavoured with just oil. Hash brown/potato cake had no salt/flavour. And the salmon on the eggs benny was overwhelmingly salty. Will not be returning.

I had the hot honey chicken burger and it was absolutely insane. Possibly the juciest and most tender chicken burger I've had. The brioche burger bun was also incredibly fresh and soft. This might be one of the best chicken burgers in the city. I was disappointed by the fries however. I was excited because they are fried in beef tallow, however, the fries tasted old and stale. Dreadful. I tried a cookie and coffee, and it was pretty good. Overall, the food is pretty good here. It is pricey indeed, but it appears they make pretty much everything in-house. Even the ketchup tasted made in house

Bakery items are very well done and taste good….especially drooling over that cinnamon bun 2. Quite busy…takes a while to order 3. Pretty expensive Ending: 1. Food wasn’t bad, pretty average breakfast

Nice happening place...they say it's bakery but it's also restaurant with outdoor patio. I was expecting more of artesian style bread options. I went there particularly for sourdough bread. but they only had few options left in afternoon as everything almost sold out. lady said to come early morning 8-11 for fresh and variety in sourdough breads. vast variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner. they have sourdough pizza as well Thursday, Friday from noon to closing. Nice chill place. I tried almond chocolate croissant and it was good.

I read some of the reviews before coming here, and came with an open mind. We got here at 10am and figured out the whole seating arrangement within a minute. It was not difficult in my opinion. One line is dine in, one is dine out. I grabbed us a table and told my wife what I wanted she ordered and brought us our order flag. She was in line for about 10 minutes. I originally got orange juice as they were very busy at the time and couldn’t make latte’s. The orange juice was very fresh, and my wife had drip coffee, black which was really good coffee! We waited about 15 minutes for our food, and before it came one of the staff asked if we wanted any latte’s as it slowed down and they could make them now. She also apologized and offered them half off. I found that to be accommodating, and ordered a pumpkin spice latte. The latte, was perfect creamy, frothy, and warm. Our breakfast came, and it was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was perfect and creamy, the eggs were soft and burst, and the English muffins were nice and toasted without being too crispy and soaked up all the sauce and yolk wonderfully. The roasted potatoes were a big hit too, and the ketchup was delicious not sure if they make it but it’s very tasty! My wife loved her breakfast plate. One of her eggs was broken so she got three, no complaints here. Her bacon was fantastic, sweet and salty, very strong maple flavour it was lovely. She got the sourdough bread and it was really good, and went very well with the egg. In addition we also got a loaf of cheddar jalapeño bread, which is divine! All in all we had a great experience here! Yes we spent roughly $65 for breakfast (that’s including the loaf) that’s expensive, but I don’t mind paying for good food, and the food here is delicious. In my opinion worth it!

The almond croissant was awesome (finished before taking a picture) the tea latte tasted very good too. The area is ice but the music can be a little better selected to suite a coffeeshop/bakery. The selection of the pastry was limited by the tome we walked in which is not bad, means that everything is fresh and mostly sold by noon. The only downside was that there was a bit of colourless plastic in the croissant.

Went for their O-towners in the morning, and it didn’t disappoint!! I was greeted by a friendly server who gave me a sweet farewell. I was impressed with the quality and taste of the cronuts. I’m coming back to try more!

I came here for Sunday brunch with my friends. An unsuspecting place as it seems to be in an old shipping warehouse! It was very busy but tables moved quickly and you could also do takeout. The menu had some great options and the pastries looked amazing. Food was fabulous but expensive! Probably the most expensive brunch I’ve ever done but I would go back!

A really cool place to come have a fancy breakfast/brunch! I would take someone here if they were visiting Ottawa and wanted to try something fun. You get what you pay for here. The food is delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection and I will definitely try out some different menu items when I return. They have cinnamon buns baked fresh, which I would recommend you grab as a sort of appetizer if it's a busy day there. The food is filling though, so be aware! The ordering system is a bit tricky at first, it's sort of a half cafeteria half restaurant style. You walk up to a counter to order and then you get a number which you bring to your table, where your food is eventually brought to you.

I always stop here for a meal when I’m in Ottawa. Food never disappoints. Their brunch menu is really good. Something for those who have a sweet tooth and those who are more into savoury dishes. Service is also very good. It can hard to be found a table during peak times on the weekend but not surprising. I like the fact that it is not in the centre of the city so parking is easy

Visited the coffee shop this morning and tried their croissants and hot chocolate. While the croissants didn't seem very fresh, the almond one stood out with its tasty flavor. However, the hot chocolate fell short of expectations and wasn't as flavorful as anticipated. Overall, a mixed experience.

Old style restaurant with amazing atmosphere. It took us a lot to wait at the entrance with other customer who was confuse like us. The chowder soup was my favorite. Loved it. The pizza is overrated though.

Great food, and experience. 5/5 Only feedback is. Music is too loud indoor seating area, and the speaker quality sucks so the music is so bad quality it's annoying too. Also the o-town pastry thing is over-rated, not worth 10$, and the taste is k tbh. Sane goes for the grilled cheese the bread of the grilled cheese is the highlight, barely any cheese in there. Also if ur allergic to bees don't come here. Tons of bees. They won't pinch you with their stinger. But they will probably cause you anxiety with their constant presence. We aren't allergic so it's fine but we had to keep shooing them away the entire meal

Ended up here seeing the great reviews. And this place is the best. I had Croque Madame and brunch burger with mocha here. Loved the brunch burger here. The Croque Madame had ton of cheese in it. The quantity and the quality is great. The place is busy and had to wait like half an hour at 9:30 am in the morning on a Sunday to get in. But understandable after having food here and it’s worth the wait. The interior is warehouse modelled with bunch of summer lights hanging around. The service was great and tons of parking outside. They have outdoor seating as well.Coming back here for sure!!

Great place! Especially with the outdoor seating. Lots of space for 8 people who showed up at peak time 11am on a Sunday. Great staff/service, food. Delicious Art-Is-In ketchup!

An absolute staple and must-visit in Ottawa for their fresh bread and baked goods. Everything sounds, looks, and is delicious from their cronuts and pastries to their wide variety of bread and made-to-order sandwiches, etc. The staff is friendly and very quick to serve you. Their prices are also quite reasonable. Great stop for a bite and some takeaway. The one thing to note is that during the height of the pandemic, it was take-out only with no indoor seating. There are picnic tables outside, but imagine it'd be quite cold in the winter. They may now have indoor seating as well as it's been a while.

The croissants are still delicious. And the O - towner looks overly sweet, but it was amazingly light and well balance. It also was made with an explosion of summer fruity filling flavour.

The atmosphere is very unique,.and the food was very good, well mostly. The honey chicken burner was to die for, so good. The Hawaii-5-0 pizza was incredible, but the burger was hohum. We will definitely go back and try some of their other dishes.

Art is is, is one of my best places for breakfast and lunch and certainly best bakery. But I learnt that they offer dinner so I went with my wife and 2 kids. Eating in patio as weather was nice We ordered spaghetti pizza which was not in the menu, and frankly I do not know why people would eat that. Burger was average burger The Chechen crispy burger was pretty good No thing special at all in the “three time fried fries”, taste exactly may be less than the avergae fires Home made catchup is a MUST try, It’s really good and tasty

A nice place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. They are busy so expect a queue, but it's worth it. The service can be a little slow because of the number of people they are serving. The food tastes really good especially the croissant & cronut.

Unique industrial space offering freshly baked goods as well as made-to-order breakfasts. Croque Madame is deliciously cheesy and crunchy. If you enjoy a sweet and savoury dish, try the French Toast. Line up to order, grab your table number, grab a seat. Line moves a little slow but food arrives quickly.

Great spot for a artisan sandwich, burger or salad. The almond croissant 🥐 are amazing! The double burger absolutely blew me away! It was perfectly dressed and wrapped, really a treat I could have everyday. Also the staff are very attentive, courteous and friendly.

Delicious food as always. Great place to take a group for brunch with a huge menu for a vast array of tastes to enjoy. My go to is the pickle melt which is TO DIE FOR.

Art-is-in Bakery covers all the cravings. If you're looking for a sandwich, pastries, pizza, or latte, they got them all. My favorite is the croque monsieur and I recommend to add the in house ketchup. If you want to try something that is not a breakfast sandwich, try the pickle melt. You can really get the crunch of that deep fry pickle with a spicy mayo. The sourdough pizza is another great choice as a place that utilizes the most flavorful cheeses and combinations of toppings, but their pizzas are served on selected days/times so check their website for availability. The pasties and breads are made in-house and all very delicious their main attraction for their pastries would be their "o-towners" which they rotate the fillings from time to time so you can always find a new flavour. The pastries/bread do sell out quickly, especially on the weekends, so get there early. I would also recommend the lattes from the Cafe which combine some unique flavors such as "Maple vanilla latte".

Favourite bakery ever!! Love this place for all kinds of bread and baked goods. Missing the dine in experience due to Covid but the take outs are good too!

Tried the sourdough bread 🍞 along with the dynamite. THEY ARE BOTH AWESOME. Just what I was looking for! The good thing is that they have while wheat sourdough as well!

I finally had a chance to have breakfast here. My good friends and I ordered the Eggs Benny Salmon (with triple cooked fries), two breakfast sandwiches (one with bacon and one without), croque monsieur (no side), croque madame (with crunchy salad), croque madame (with roasted fingerling potatoes), and a box of their famous O-Towners (aka Kronuts) and almond croissant pastries to go. We were not disappointed! I'm already planning my next visit there - it was that great! I highly recommend Art-Is-In Bakery. 5-stars. A+++.

Upon arriving at Art-is-in Bakery, I was impressed by the spacious layout, high ceiling, and overall pleasant atmosphere. Although I didn't notice any staff members immediately upon arrival, it's possible that I visited during a slower time. The food at Art-is-in Bakery was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Big 'K' Burger and the Lost in Wakefield pizza, and both were outstanding. It's worth noting that the prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food makes it a worthwhile expense. While I'm not entirely certain if I'll return to Art-is-in Bakery, I'm glad I had the opportunity to try it out. The delicious food and lovely atmosphere are definitely worth experiencing.

This place never disappoints. This is my second time here but first time for breakfast and YUUUUUUMMMMMY! The Croque Madame was sooo good.....and don't forget to try the pastries as well. Try and get there early as a line up builds up very quickly.

Came for brunch and got the eggs Benny, breakfast plates, bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the croque monsieur! No wait for a table as a group of 8! But note it’s an order at the cashier inside before you get seated! Super funky and fresh stuff 🤌🤌 I fw the fingerling potatoes fr 😛 and the staff are super friendly and helpful!!

Very delicious and great food, the price is crazy. Make sure you figure out which line is the takeout line or dine in one. Food is absolutely amazing, there are some really nice traditional takes on breakfast foods. The cronuts are good, I really enjoyed the lychee one. I think the one we enjoyed the least was the cherry filling. One of our group are not big into onions and it would have been nice to know before ordering the eggs benedict.

Solid meal here - avocado toast was nice and the croque madame was incredibly rich. Definitely pop a lactaid or 6 before coming. The fries were not lacking in the salt department, that’s for sure but no worries about that on my end. The staff were friendly and happy to change out a coffee for an iced. Nice patio too. Will come back for some of the pastries tho, didn’t get a chance to have one.
