We had such a good customer service experience there. My partner and I both have problems with our feet and ended up walking away with very comfortable shoes after being given a lot of time and attention by one of their sales associates. It was clear that he really loves his job and the shoes, and he is very knowledgeable. It felt like a really sincere and authentic interaction where he truly just wanted us to find what would work for us rather than pushing someone on us for no reason. I don't live in Ottawa but the next time I'm in town I will be back!

The staff are extremely knowledgeable about New Balance products. They are very helpful in making sure that you buy the shoes that are right for your feet. I highly recommend this store!

I had previously purchased a pair of New Balance 990's from the New Balance store in the Rideau Centre. After several months of light use, there was some premature wear on the inside of the shoes. I brought the shoes into the store and the manager, Musa, examined the shoes and discussed my concern with New Balance's General Manager. He offered to ship a new pair of shoes to my home. My new shoes arrived today and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Musa (and your GM) for being so pleasant and understanding and for standing behind your product. New Balance are great shoes and this experience reinforces my belief that New Balance is a great organization and that the Rideau Centre store's staff offer exceptional customer service.

It's has been 2 weeks and the items I ordered hasn't been shipped from the warehouse to the store. I made a trip to the store to inquire about there order. I was told that they'll leave a note and check when the warehouse and call me back to let me know. I called today asking if there's any update and the person answer told me "you can ask for a refund" and no one checked with the warehouse... Not great experience

Paid 250$ for shoes after tax here and they're already ripping after 1 month of very very light wear. Brought it back and they exchanged it for another pair and same thing happened but this time it was a final sale and no possible refund so I'm stuck with a terrible shoe that's going to be ripped up completely in a couple months for a quarter of a thousand dollars which is insane to think about. Terrible quality in the shoe

I had gone into another athletics store (not mentioning names) looking for workout sneakers and the attendants there seemed disinterested, showed me a wall of strictly black and white shoes (boring!) and left me to figure out things for myself. Of course, I walked out. I noticed the variety of styles and colours as I walked by New Balance and (I'm so sorry I forgot his name! R...) the young man was soooo helpful, patient, knowledgeable and informative. He provided me with additional options to suit my needs and I got the perfect sneaker for me. It was not even the one that I was going to settle for but he suggested that I try it and voila! Perfect! I will be happy to go back for my future sneaker needs. The shopping experience was great, absolutely satisfying. Bravo!

Great in store service! However it has now been 2 weeks since I ordered my shoes with them in store since they didn’t have my size and I’m still waiting for them. If I knew it would’ve taken this long I would’ve just ordered them online or gone somewhere else. Update Aug 11: Shoes received after two and a half weeks. Quite slow but it’s definitely not the stores fault. They were so kind and patient on the phone when I would call! I give this store’s customer service 5 star! Amazing!

I was very pleased with the running shoes that I recently bought at your store. I liked the fact that they took a 3-D image of my foot to determine my exact size. I learned that I had gone up a half size. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Highly recommend the brand & the location as a whole. I was never a fan of NB growing up, because the shoes reminded me of the ugly sneakers my mom (nurse) would wear for work. And the fact that my mom only ever bought them, because they were so good. Now that I am older, I see why. Highly recommend. The in-store service was just as good as the shoes I bought. I bought the 840 series & Hierro V6 trail running shoes. Being that I had custom orthotics, the staff was really knowledgeable of the shoes they offer... practically recommending me the equivalent of what my orthopedist recommended. Shout out to Rideau staff; especially Devon, I appreciate the help. The shoes have been awesome as well. The trail running shoes having been phenomenal. It's my first time running in the winter, and I'm impressed how well & insulated my feet are, without feeling overheated, or cold even as I stretch post-run (I run 40-50K/week; first time training for a marathon). The 840's are just as awesome since I stand for 6-7hrs at a time at work (retail), and have no qualms with my feet. I swear by this brand, they are worth the penny. They are like buckley's, but for looks: Ugly by design (sorry), but works. :)

I have trouble with my feet and wear orthotics the podiatrist recommended that I go to New balance for shoe fitting as I walk allot. The staff were great professional and clearly knew how to fit my problem feet. I have been going here for 5 years and will continue,

I picked up a pair of walking shoes for my husband this morning. I had called yesterday and spoke to Devon. I came by early and Devon not only was very nice and helpful, but he also wore a mask, knowing that I had concerns due to health issues. In a new reality where society has become so impatient and intolerant that level of service and kindness was a breath of fresh air and a reminder of how things used to be. Devon could teach many of us a lesson about what customer service should look like. I will be back to this store again. Thank you Devon:-)

I want to share my recent experiences with Devon and Brendan. Both were courteous, knowledgeable about their products and very helpful in directing me to the right shoe for my walking exercise (4-6 km daily), the 840 and another pair, 990 for everyday use. My thanks to them. A wonderful experience.

I am a trail runner. Devon the gentleman that helped me out was knowledgeable and just a nice guy. There was a very nice woman helping out as well. They got me fitted and I was on my way. I would not hesitate to recommend this store. Great product. Awesome service.

Nice clean store & nice staff. Disappointed that womens wide foot sizes were almost all sold out, leaving only men's to choose from. Always a bummer when that happens

Service was definitely way above average, but I found their entire stock very expensive and was surprised that absolutely nothing was on sale.
