First time eating here and was extremely impressed. Off the bat the server Jenna was patient and kind. Extraordinary customer service. Was tended too and facilitated substitution without question. Food was exceptional and, value for money is unbelievable. Prices here are more than reasonable for what you get! Was a overall superb experience, look forward to visiting again soon in the near future. Highly recommend.

I had given Chuck's a 5 star review early in the year, but something has changed, and the place is not the same. I've contacted head office 2 times through their contact us form in the last 2 weeks, and nobody has contacted me to discuss my points. I always give positive reviews because it's important to use Google reviews for complimenting a business and not complaining about it. Look at the reviews in the last few months for Chuck's, and many of them are now negative compared to before. On Dec 26th, I brought 5 members of my family, the music was so loud, the nice server had to ask us to repeat our orders every time. We could barely talk at the table, and it was crazy to repeat every food and drink order. On Dec 31, only a few days later, I brought friends from across the city to Chuck's saying it was a great place. This is the worst story. There were lots of sports games on TV from World Juniors to NFL to the Sens game at 6 pm, so we arrived at 3 pm. The sign on the door said they were open until 9 pm. The atmosphere is like a sports bar with lots of TVs except it doesn't feel like it. We got last call at 750pm, which is too early. They started to put the chairs up on the bar and tables around us, and the best part was they turned off the TVs at 810pm. We were watching the Sens game and the Packers and Vikings game!! We asked why this was happening, and the bartender whose picture is in another negative review said because "he wanted to go home." Crazy! We had spent 5 hours at Chucks and ordered lots of drinks and two rounds of food - not good treatment for a regular customer. They reluctantly turned the TVs back on - see my photo from our seats. Some TVs didn't come back on, they weren't on the same sports channels, and we had to look through chairs that they should have put up on the bar after we left. I have never been to a restaurant where this happens. Earlier in the year, they called last call an hour before the bar closed and the place was packed - see video. The washrooms also stink really bad and have for a while now. Chucks is not as busy as it used to be, and it's obvious why that is. Fix the service! And an update, I have contacted their email address as I was asked to do in their reply TWICE - days a part - and nobody gets back to you.

Food was amazing & price was good as well, so 5/5 for food, and cherry on cake all appetisers are half the price after 9 pm. In terms of service it’s 2/5, first they kept on giving tables to others saying we are big group, but they could have easily joined 2 small ones. 2ndly, servers were not paying attention initially to take orders then no water or plates or cutlery was served until asked, and she was not in good mood as well, very bad service. Overall giving 3 stars just for food. Hope they can improve there service, and then I can revaluate my rating.

We were actually surprised by the food, it was not expensive and tasted quite good. There are lots of TVs showing sports, so if you are looking for a place to watch the game, this could be it. The serving sizes are not huge but neither is the price. $8 for a basic burger and fries, that tastes good, I'd say that is pretty good value. The servers were friendly and reasonably attentive. The food came quickly and they checked on us from time to time.

Usual roadhouse decor but has an open feel. It might be noisy at a busier time, but it wasn't full yet at 5pm. The food was cooked well: the steak actually came med.rare as ordered and the fish and chips was nice and crispy with meaty fish. We enjoyed the meal. I noticed that they are able to set up longer tables for bigger parties of 8 or 10.

I probably go to Chuck's twice a month. The beer is cold and cheap and the food is a few bucks less than most Ottawa pubs. That said, it's certainly not fine dining. Not a 'date night' place unless you are 17. Staff is cool, patrons at the bar (me) are a bit... rough around the edges. 😁 Pro tips: - you will be charged a 3% (+tax) 'honest to goodness' fee no matter the size of your group (Can't lie, I don't like that and adjust my tip) - if you order a bacon cheese burger, request FRESH COOKED bacon. - if you are a fan of Brit-style fish'n'chips you might want to try elsewhere. It's frozen fillets.

Great service, food was amazing. We went after 9 pm so all the appetizers were 50% off but that did not affect the quality of food. Every single appetizer we ordered was really good.

Quite place just behind IKEA. I came to have lunch at this place, which was not at all crowded...had coffee, grilled chicken club sandwich and ¼ BBQ Chicken Breast. Coffee was cold so we had to ask them to re-heat which we instantly got one. Sandwich was tasty. BBQ was okay was...just missing the wow factor! Overall a good experience!

I went with my husband on a Saturday evening and we were not disappointed. We got the porterhouse (husband recommends medium-rare) and half rack of ribs, both were perfect! Our waitress was also super friendly and welcoming. To top it off we had a great outdoor semi-shaded table by the trees with a nice breeze. Overall a wonderful experience and we will be back soon!

Everything was so sos yum from wings to fries to spinach dip Srimp everything was great and yes of course don’t forget to order their deserts omg everything was finger licking !! And their mock-tails and of course beer were also too too good !! But wait time was really long may be it was long weekend but had to wait for an hour or so ! But wait was worth for the quality we received!

Have had many great mondays at chucks! Our softball team loves to stop by after a win or a loss, and we are always greeted with a friendly smile and welcoming atmosphere. Special shout-out to Jody, who has continuously gone above and beyond to ensure that our team is served in a quick manner, and even took the time to learn all of our names. Will continue to make an effort to go to Chucks after ball season, simply to enjoy the great food and drinks and Jody’s outstanding service.

The service is a little slow but the food was good. The carrot cake is really good 🤤. I think what soured the experience was finding out there was an extra 3% tax on top of your bill which brings the taxes to 16% if you’re going to do that then you need to let the customer know upfront when they are seated.

I have been a huge fan of chucks for a long time, I usually love this place and recommend it to all my friends. But lately the service there has been absolutely AWFUL. I was there with a group of friends celebrating a birthday, we never got checked on after receiving our food, didn’t have drinks refilled, we had to walk up to the kitchen and ask a different server to refill our drinks. And we waited for our bills for 40 MINUTES, after asking for all the bills, he then came back with ONE. Went again just last week and the same thing. Didn’t get checked on after the food was given to us, and we had to actually call our server over after we had finished everything and sat for a long period of time to request our bill. Hostess sits on her phone in the corner all night as guests stand at the front door waiting to be sat. Place has just gone downhill.

The food was great, but the service was absolutely awful. We waited at least 10 minutes to be seated. When we were seated she gave us menus and gave us time to decide what to have and what to drink. Once decided, we had our menus closed and at the edge of the table indicating we were ready to order. Again, waited at least 10-15 minutes while she was over in a cluster of her coworkers. When my family kept looking back at her, she finally came over, she said “sorry about the wait, my coworker got back from his 4 week vacation” After we were done eating and wanted the bill she was literally sitting down at one of the booths with her coworker on her phone!!! It doesn’t look good when you’re sitting basically two tables down and the table you’re waiting on is needing you and you’re on your phone when you’re supposed to be doing your job. It’s not the first time we’ve heard about the poor service with this waitress. Definitely not impressed.

Reasonable price for beer. It's not fancy but decent food and good country pub vibe. My go to pub as a student.

When I first came here when they opened it was amazing. Have coke back three times amd it’s like it gets worse every time. Ordered medium steak. Came out rare. No big deal asked for it cooked more. It came out black on the outside. Tried to eat it but all I could taste was charcoal. It’s too bad the one in Brockville is amazing this one just keeps getting worse unfortunately this is my last chance. Service was average.

Amazing place with great food. The appetisers are at 50% off after 9pm everyday. It always has a wait time but it’s worth waiting for your turn to be seated. Must try!!!!

Service was terribly slow. We waited forever for our food. We made the mistake of dining outside where the wasps ruined our experience. Seriously they wouldn't let us eat! My spouse was incredibly disappointed with the wings that they were dry. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive so it wasn't his fault we had a terrible experience. I think we would've had a better time at Milestones across the way. Unfortunately will not be back.

Got the 7 ounce steak, fries and corn. The steak was 10/10. So juicy and delicious. Fries were really nice, crispy and fresh. The spinach and cheese dip was phenomenal! The corn wasn't my favorite. Super friendly staff and great server! The price is unbeatable. I will most definitely be going back!

I went to Chuck's Roadhouse the other evening with my son and stepson and it was great! The prices are reasonable, the food is good and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are very personable and friendly. Our server Dindi was awesome! Despite the place being pretty busy (still adhered to Covid guidelines though) we didn't need to wait very long for our food. Great experience all around! Will definitely go back.

We arrived for half off appetizers, we were seated and our waitress came over gave us coasters and said she had 2 tables to do and she'd be back. It was 35 minutes before she even LOOKED our direction or acknowledged us. It wasn't packed or anything and customers who came in after us were served within minutes. It took 10 minutes after taking our orders to get WATER. An hour after being seated before we got our food, and my partner's food was cold. The food tasted just fine though. No bad flavours. As we were paying to leave, another group who had the same waitress just walked out with paying (likely because they too were experiencing very poor service). We love chucks in Nappanee. Always great. But Ottawa was a hard NO!

We had such an amazing experience at Chuck’s. As you can tell with our facial expressions we had so much fun! The service was impeccable. Promptly served by our boy Lance. Our drinks were $4.00!!! They were so yummy and well made. Food was amazing.

This place used to be a number one go to sports bar that I would have recommended to anyone, however I've noticed that service and quality have been slowly declining. Servers seem to be overwhelmed trying to keep up with everything, often forgetting orders, or just unable to check in on tables for hours. The food used to be well worth it but in the last month or so, food has been less than appetizing. Recently, I ordered the goat cheese spinach dip (one of my usual orders) and in return I got food poisoning. Reading through other reviews cleanliness as well as health and safety is quite questionable here right now. Stay away unless you want to be puking (and have diarrhea with stomach cramps). Hoping this Chucks location can build itself up again.

My family and I went to Chuck's roadhouse for the first time. We did not know what to expect. I had a steak with mashed potatoes. I was not expecting to have corn on the side. My wife had The roadhouse burger and fries. I had 2 beers for $4.00. As for the food it was out of this world. $16.00 for top sirloin steak,mashed potatoes and corn is fantastic and $15.00 the roadhouse burger and fries is excellent. You can not find a restaurant that serves great food for the prices you pay. We will definitely be back.

I have been to Chucks a few times. The food is good and reasonably priced. The only issues I have is The wait is always long since they do not take reservations on the weekends. The other problem is that once you put your name on the sheet, There is no room for people to sit wait for their table to be ready. waiting to be called There are always anywhere from 8-10 people crammed both between the 2 doors and in the front entrance. People end up standing beside tables either people trying to eat their meals. It’s uncomfortable and if you are looking for a quiet place this may not be for you. I enjoy the food especially the Chicken Parm Pasta and the steak. place. The music is loud and it’s a noisy place.

I love Chuck's. I order cosmopolitan and there is actually alcohol in the drink not like other restaurants. They food is consistently yummy. And their service is super awesome!

Lots of space indoor, patio and even parking. Also lots of big TVs perfect for watching sports games . Food we ordered tasted good and is reasonably priced. I hope stays that way so that people can afford it and could come back. Would definitely come back to try other menu as there is always specials everyday. Thank you

I would call it a hidden gem. Super reasonable prices. Chill vibes. We did go when they were quite busy, and that led to them forgetting about our drinks and mixing up our bills. But it was all sorted out. The food was really tasty and served warm. Drinks were great too. Overall, a nice experience

Ill start positive. The waitress and serving staff is amazing. The menu is uneventful. The ribs i had were not fall off the bone as promised by the menu. Infact they were tough and slightly over cooked. Most of my party had steaks and they all were not super impressed. My brother had a burger and he said it was okay. Next time we get together were going to Montana's its significantly better.

Lively atmosphere. Gets pretty busy on weekends. They have large screens everywhere where you can watch sports. Great place to hang out with friends. Standard beer menu with great prices during happy hour. The food menu is pretty good, too. It’s meat heavy (of course), though there are a few vegetarian options as well, which is great. The prices are reasonable.

Tried this new place with my girlfriend and we both loved it. I had the 20 Oz Porterhouse, baked potato, corn for $25! I had to admit, I was hesitant on the quality because of the lower prices, but wow! Steak was done perfectly, loved every bit of it. Easily exceeds The Keg, Jack Astors, Baton Rouge etc quality for a fraction of the cost. Also on Thursday is $9 domestic pitcher. Can't beat that price. I've found me a new spot! Will be back ASAP
