One of my favourite shopping places for tools and hardware in Ottawa. Friendly and willing to help staff, clean and well-organized store, great sales and easy to return purchased items.

Princess Auto is one of my favorite hardware and supply company, I can spend hours, walking down the aisles looking for stuff I didn't know I needed. A great place to purchase tools, and components for hobbies, automotive, auto body, and hydraulic projects.

Always enjoy going to Princess. They sometimes have great sales on many items. The warehouse is huge and well organized and once you get used to it, you will be able to find most of the things you need. They have many items which are usually not found in mainstream home Reno or hardware stores and there are usually several employees and associates walking around, who are happy to assist. The surplus area has tons of gadgets and electronics that you will find interesting and useful. Ample parking outside and close to the Walkley ramps to the 417.

Princess Auto is located at 1111 Ages Drive. I like going to Princess Auto to buy inexpensive tools (Powerfist - Chinese brand) for infrequent jobs. I don't recommend these tools for heavy duty regular jobs as they can't match the quality fit and performance of Snap On, Milwaukee or even Craftsman. Princess auto also has great discounts on surplus items, like car bondo and tarps. Sometimes I have found the store layout confusing and have had difficulty finding what I am looking for and the staff aren't always that helpful. However, I accept that and will just figure out where I need to go so I can get cheaper prices.

Likely my happy place in life, where I go to stroll on a Sunday afternoon for things I never thought I needed. Amazing prices. Superb return policy. You can’t go wrong. It’s waaaay more than auto stuff. It’s everything stuff.

Princess Auto is like Costco but for tools - you just never know what you’ll find. Always fun to go look around. Like Costco they have a super return policy so you never have to worry.

Bought some fire pokers and safety glasses, then waited in line as an old individual gave the young cashier a much unneeded story about life after paying his due. She was helpless and he was clueless. Great store.

5 stars for this place. I was looking for a certain part for my mercedes and couldn't find it anywhere but here. The staff was friendly and they were easily available to assist me to find the part in the warehouse.

This place is unbelievable. Their prices are low and their selection of products are huge. Staff are friendly and very helpful. It's a good place to shop.

Great place for tools, equipment and supplies. Lots of well priced specials, and staff are very knowledgeable when/ if you need help. You can easily spend an hour looking around. Lots of parking and quick check out (i.e., well staffed). Been here many times - well worth the trip!

Great place and customer service. Was looking for a tool I couldn't find anywhere. I was able to ask the customer service representative and he was able to provide me with the right area to find the tool.

Very helpful staff. Were asked what we we looking for by an associate directed us to the correct area. And by the time I got their another staff member had found the grommet needed and showed where they were on the racks

At least once a month I go out and visit this store. Staff are great, inventory is huge, lots of parking and very well organized. The only negative is the pricing. Having to pay 18.00 for a can of spray paint is absurd and, so much in the store has tripled in price. Sale items is what I look for now.

This store is your go-to for equipment and tools, with its exceptional return policy being the standout feature—truly the best ever. A heartfelt thank you to all the helpful employees! A year ago, I bought a 1-ton motor crane and later decided to upgrade. Remarkably, they accepted the return, and I ended up purchasing a 2-ton capacity unit from the same store.

This place has some unbelievable deals on things . If you question the quality of the product you don't have to worry about it much because their return policy is the best I've ever heard of . Staff is super friendly and helpful . I have a hard time just getting what I went there for . Half the stuff I buy is because of the price not because I need it at that moment.

How can I describe this store ? It's the toys'r'us for men ! ... that store carries everything from tools to supplies for every busy man out there. The store is well laid out, but sometimes, alleys can be narrow due to new arrivals or items on sale. Friendly staff and i always enjoy shopping there. Best deals all year round.

I recently visited and dropped a large sum of cash on the floor somewhere in the store and I wasn’t even sure if I dropped it there but the management told me JD found it and kept it safe for me and for that I can’t thank them enough. Very grateful that honest and good people were the ones who came across it and can’t thank them enough for their help and support. Thank you so much for your help and I wish you the best karma.

I like shopping online using the sales flyer. My online store pickup order today was quickly handled. The staff in the store are always very helpful. This time was no exception. Their hour of business is great for online store supplied pick-up 💻!

We have shopped many princess autos. This is by far the nicest, cleanest PA we have shopped. The aisles are clean, the product is organized, even in the surplus area! Most importantly - everything was priced! This was a welcome surprise.

The item I was looking for was not currently in stock but I got such good customer service that I still left happy. She was helpful (giving me options on how to get it from them at a different location or online), efficient and pleasant. Bravo!

I entered the store, Employee looks at my face and just as I am about to ask a question she walks away. I am sure they are trained to help customers not walk away on contact. To his advantage another hurrying employee helped me.

Awesome as usual. I had to return a tarp that was cut at the folds. Return was quick. No questions asked. Their slogan is No sale is final until you are satisfied.

Busy, chaotic, no parking when I went, had to park across the road at Busy Bee, but I love this store and I will go again and again and again. They had exactly what I was looking for and the staff member that assisted was polite and nothing but smiles.

Picked up a box and some channel- lock pliers good price for both. Channel - locks got 2 pairs for under $ 40. Not bad quality too,

Frustrating trying to find decent leather gloves that are not size L or XL. But still a great place for all sorts of bits and bobs.

Went in today. Bought several items. One was a 6" long, 2" receiver tube. It was 14.99. The one I grabbed had no label and the cashier had to search it up. A guy nearby helped her find the area in the catalogue and pointed to the one he thought I had. He said it was a 2.5" receiver tube that was 28.99. I remembered it being on a shelf with many others as 14.99. He had me measure it and it was 2.5" outside diameter on the square tubing. But the product is listed by its inside diameter since it's an adapter that 2" square tubing slides into. I almost paid double the price before I declined to accept this error. These employees need better training on outside and inside diameter measurements when it comes to items that can cost double the price. I went and grabbed one off the shelf in the box instead of arguing about this with the staff. If you're not sure, find out for yourself and don't let their errors cost you.

Such a great store. Finding things is a little hard. Even looking online won't tell you where to find things. Asking staff where items are was a little hard. I got told to look in several isles before finding my items found mist of what I needed, except a few essentials to automotive. Still, love my trips here. Just plan for a little extra search time

You guys are great, I had the joy and delight of being helped at cash out by Lyn, she is a joy and tremendous delight. She is professional and not a robot. I am thankful she cashed me out. It brought out some laughter, a smile and helped brighten my day. To be honest I didn't really need it and was not expecting it..... I did enjoy it though. Some people are programmed to say the same things always, as if it is a scripted show I felt like I actually was not only a valued customer but also a dear friend.

My first bad experience at Princess Auto. I went to the service desk and asked the girl if she could check if they had any 3/4'' x 8' aluminum pipe in stock, since I didnt see any on the shelf. She refused to check her computer and insisted I ask a associate for assistance. The store was full of people, the associates were all busy, so I asked her again, politely, if she could check her computer to save me some time. She refused again and insisted I go find an associate, so I just left. I shop at PA regularly and have always found the staff to be very helpful; this is my first bad experience.
