If I have an option for 10 stars, Di Rienzo’s definitely deserves 10 stars. Not only sandwiches but also pastas, pastries, salads, and delis are unbeatable. My review will never be enough to describe how good everything is, so please go try if you have not tried yet!

SO MUCH YES. Had to come back It's exactly what you expect a neighbourhood almost new-york style bodega corner place to be like. Home made pastas, veal parm, ready made for pick-up sandwiches, made to order sandwiches - all so good. Great service always.

Did you know that this place won Ottawa’s best sandwich of the year multiple years in a row? I didn’t. But after going there 4-5 times now I can see why. Starting off with the amazingly friendly staff, they were incredible. Great at explaining options and were very nice. There’s is a lot of variety in sandwiches, and everything they serve is fresh. They also have hot food but I haven’t tried it yet. I always go in and get a sandwich, along with their incredible cannolis. They are the best I’ve had in Ottawa. If you’re looking for a nice local spot, I can’t recommend Di Rienzo’s enough. 10/10!

Best customer service I’ve ever experienced. They were so welcoming and helpful. They suggested things and took so much time to make sure we were accommodated. Best of all, they have absolutely delicious sandwiches and desserts.

What a great spot as I always try and drop by when visiting from Toronto. Their Deli Sandwiches are tough to beat and overall a decent value too. I’d highly recommend to give them a shot if you’re in that area 9/10 👍🏼

Being new to Ottawa, I’m always looking for a place like this. Saw the story of it celebrating being open 50 years on CTV Ottawa last night and tried it today. I purchased 2 Italian meat style sandwiches, a side of ravioli and a small pasta salad. It was all delicious & very reasonably priced. I’d love that pasta salad recipe! Will definitely go back! (Parking is extremely limited, so I parked a few short blocks away in a lot, and it was worth the parking fee.)

Pretty much echoing what everyone else has been reviewing. Everything in that shop is to die for. From the sandwiches to the meatballs all the way down to the cannolis their food is amazing. The attention to detail, and the fact that the people working there were incredibly helpful, made this experience that much more enjoyable. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food treat.

I went into the deli without my debit card and forgot that they were cash only & the two workers, Anthony & Mario, were kind enough to make me a sandwich without paying. Really great guys that truly care about the customer experience. To add onto that the sandwich is just outright amazing. Really brings a rich Italian history into the heart of ottawa which is amazing. 10/10 would recommend

First time I've been here. Excellent selection of Italian sandwiches. Chicken Parmigiano sandwich is excellent as is the beef sandwich. Great little stop for a quick sandwich pickup

Came here on the recommendation of a friend who said this store sells the best sandwiches in Ottawa. She was not kidding, as you can find delicious Italian-style sandwiches here, which you can dress as you like.

Come in and have a taste of Ottawa history - this well established Deli has been family owned and operated since its opening many many years ago. I went to school on Beech St. and used to eat here 3 to 4 times a day. I still to this day stop by for a sandwich/pasta, drink and canoli every given opportunity. They also serve some bottled and canned drinks which I cannot find anywhere else in the city and they are incredibly refreshing favorite part of the meal for me.

5+ stars every freaking time!! I have had about 1000 sandwiches and meals here and it's always perfect. I'm moving out of Canada, so today was my last ever sandwich. from Di Rienzo's. Going there never felt like going to a store or a restaurant, it felt like going to the home of a family member. I always feel welcome and always get very well fed!! Thanks for being the best!! I'll miss you.

I left this review years ago. Time to update it. Paul and the family make the best sandwiches and traditional Italian food to go in Ottawa. This place is amazing. They have tonnes of traditional Italian food. This is one of the secrets of Ottawa ! Just had my first sandwich in a while as I was out of the country. This food makes you smile! Thanks

The best literally the best sandwich place to get a sandwich! You can't even bite it because it's so big. This place is soo good and really perfect for construction workers, you get a sandwich and drink cheap and be full all day, some people say they can't move after eating their sandwich. I sure can't and I'm a pregnant woman😂😂😂😂 I love this place! My husband and I went 2 days ago and going back again once a week! No picture but I will next time.

Great sandwich and service - and the pricing was extremely reasonable. No issues at all and I would return for sure. If I had something to complain about it - it would be two things. First I did find the bread in the sandwich to be a bit much - meaning a bit thick for my liking - and thus hard to bite into. But that is a more a personal preference. The other issue is I wasn't crazy with the fact that they are a cash only business - yet conveniently enough they have an ATM at the back that charges a fee to grab cash. I don't appreciate those types of business practices. But other than that - all great place and I would for sure recommend!

Place doesn't accept credit cards and you realize that at the cash register - because the sign is there and not at the entrance of the store. Then you go to withdraw the money and they charge you 2.5 dollars for withdrawal of 20... Food is good, don't get me wrong but experience overall is not.

The food - comforting, delicious - Italian pasta and sandwiches that always hits the spot. Takeaways for picnic, lunch, dinner, and snacks. One of the best sandwich and dessert places in the city. Sandwiches are made on fresh local bakery bread. Vegetarian options. When you see firemen and city workers lining up you know there is a reason. Bring Cash otherwise you will have to use their ATM with hefty fees. They have been at Beech Street forever.

The OG sandwich spot in Ottawa. $7 for a big, delicious sandwich and they stuff it up well! Definitely worth the money plus the staff are very kind. I always love to support local!

Not a regular, my first time going to this place and let me say wow! Love the environment when I was in the store the guys were great chatting among themselves. Busy but you wouldn’t know it with how fast they make your food. Friendly service and food was great! Tasted good and hit the spot. Highly recommended for stop in and go.

Love this place!! has great sandwiches for fair prices lots of fresh toppings. Very friendly staff and very clean store use to live around the corner from it and would go grab a sandwich any chance I could also has freshly made pastas for good price the first time my son had the pasta he loved it. I will still be returning for many years to come! Very good food no matter what you order! They also have wonderful Italian deserts if you go early on in the day!
