I'd like to start this off by saying that all of the rooms are very well decorated. The Time Team Trilogy, had a lackluster ending and didn't have you leaving the room feeling accomplished. It just kind of ended with no well defined end. It felt like you where just starting to get somewhere in the room when it ended. Trudeau Tower, was a well designed room but was quite cramped, it's best suited for 2 or 3 people at most. Hockey Fans Unite, was a neat looking room. The pace of it is fairly consistent throughout. Overall a nice room The Visitors, Very well decorated room and a little bit creapy. Not much to say but it was a fun room and would recommend In summary give their rooms a try. If you're 3 or less try Trudeau Towers and more then 3, The Visitors or Hockey Fans Unite. I'd stay away from the Time Team Trilogy.

Fun! Our group was multigenerational, so the tight spaces were a bit tough to navigate as a group. But we enjoyed the puzzle and we're two minutes shy of escaping. Would go back!

We held our 13 yr old's party Lockdown Ottawa (Visitors Room) we were pleasantly welcomed and taken care of from the minute we stepped into the lobby. It was super well organized and hosted and the teens had a great time and did escape! They want to try every room available now. Will definitely go again!

I went to Lockdown Ottawa Escape Room with a few teenagers and tried the The Time Team Trilogy Chapter 1. We did a couple escape rooms before but this one is a cool concept and and not a typical room you have to escape. Finding clues helps you advance in the storyline. The teens and myself really enjoyed it and had lots of fun. We finished Chapter 1 with 5 minutes to spare! Can't wait to come back for Chapter 2 and 3. Thank you to the wonderful staff as well.

Had a wonderful time at Lockdown's escape room. The staff were beyond helpful and accommodating in making reservations and plans for a group of 9. The host was entertaining and contributed to a fun time tying to escape. The puzzles were challenging but did not seem impossible (even though we didn't make it out). Will definetly come back for another attempt with my group!

Always fun here. Only reason reason im not giving a 5 star is our last experience we were rushed and staff wasnt as attentive as all our other visits. Rooms and puzzles are great !

Loved this place, the puzzles were fun and satisfying when you understand the clue, a "click"! I took my 13 year old and a couple of her friends to do Trudeau Towers, and they absolutely loved it! They got right to the end, the last puzzle before they ran out of time, but they didn't use a clue at all, not a one! Absolutely recommend this place for a fun evening. It was our first time doing an escape room and the staff was so helpful and their demonstration of the rules was easy to understand and on point. Kudos to them for sorting us out so professionally!

Lockdown Ottawa was OK. Definitely not the best escape room place I’ve been to. Definitely better for your more beginner players I’d say. My friends and I (5 of us) escaped The Visitors in just 25 minutes, which seemed super short. The atmosphere was good, staff was SUPER friendly. I do like that they charge by room, not by person. So if you’re new to escape rooms or want a more casual experience, definitely give this place a go. If you’re looking for a challenge, I’d say head elsewhere. EDIT: the replied saying the Visitors is one of the beginner rooms…. I wish the website told you the difficulty, in that case. I would’ve picked a tougher one.

We did the visitors room and it was too easy. The puzzles were good just not nearly enough puzzles/ rooms, especially for what we paid. They give you 45 min for the room and we were out in half that time. The guy who worked there said it is their easiest room but they're was nothing on their website to tell us the difficulty level of the rooms when we booked. There are better escape rooms places in ottawa. Probably won't return.

We had an Amazing time for my birthday BUT the room was really hard haha would have liked the rooms to be rated before doing them , But overall love my first experience at Lockdown Ottawa !! Can't wait to go back

this was really fun. the hockey themed escape room was tough but we did it. I was impressed by the cleverness of the setup and how well it worked. we had 8 people ages ranged from 4 to 75. the hostess was really good too.

I went for my nieces birthday and tried the CarnEvil room. It was amazing! We were only 3 and found the room to be of medium difficulty. The actors were great and the puzzles were fun! I was just about to pull the last lock to escape when we were told our time was up, but given we were on our way out, they considered it a success! We were not expecting the leniency, and it was so appreciated. We're coming back next year for sure!

Our staff had a team-building event at Lockdown last night, and it was a great success! We were made to feel very welcome and everything was clearly explained to us. We chose the CarnEvil experience, and it did not disappoint! My staff had a great time searching for clues, and we all worked together and managed to get out with a few minutes to spare..... yay team! We will definitely be back for another fun experience!

Did an escape room here for my birthday. It was definitely still fun but I wish we could have done shots or had drinks before the escape room which is usually part of our routine but I'm pretty sure that's covid's fault and not the establishment so I still gave it 4*. The room we had chosen was slightly confusing because it's a 2 or 3 part series so sometimes you would find clues but they aren't for your current mission ( they would be for part 2 if you chose to come back another time). All and all still a great experience * Please note* we accidentally accessed the clues for chapter 2 while they should have remained hidden. The board on something (won't say what as to not add spoilers) was somehow very loose and with minimal touch it slid down and opened something it shouldn't have revealing clues that didn't make any sense to what we were searching for and the team quickly came in and informed us that they weren't for our current chapter and they fixed the clues and board back into place. And they let us carry on however it did cost us some time (it's not like they stopped the clock) which is why we were just shy of escaping.

We did the Time Team Trilogy with 2 adults, 11 yr and 7 yr old. It was fantastic! We've done other kids escape rooms which were great but this one had a good variety of puzzles and clues for all ages. The weren't too obvious for the adults, at the same time they weren't too difficult for the younger members. We didn't complete the room as we got side tracked on an extra bonus task. We loved it none the less. We also like that these rooms are a 3 part adventure. So next time we may do the 2nd part. Thanks for the fun! See you again.

Very fun atmosphere! We tried the Trudeau towers. Good use of space and fun new code types and way to enter them. I would highly suggest it. We also tried the time travelers : chapter one. I find that the the clues were fun but the pace was slowed down by the story telling throughout, and the very linear path. Not my favourite. Looking forward to trying other rooms though, like the alien and circus ones.

Excellent experience! My LO celebrated her birthday there this month, the staff went above and beyond to ensure her experience was memorable, they were professional, kind and very helpful. We hope the management recognizes the staff for their exceptional customer service skills. My eldest had her birthday celebration there in 2019, and it was just as good then. This place is fun, if you know what you're doing. We didn't, but the kids did. The entrance is not obvious: unremarkable metal door just next to the Electrical and Plumbing Store.

i’ve done almost every escape room here and the staff is so friendly and the rooms are hard but fun!!

We had a great time doing the hockey room. Seemed easy at first but it fooled us later on. Only thing i will say is that we did not escape in the alloted time as we had a faulty lock in the room

We had such a great time doing the Time Team Trilogy! We completed Chapter 1 with 3 minutes to spare! It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon for a birthday. The staff member who greeted us was very upbeat, fun, and knowledgeable. We had a blast and I can't wait to come back for chapters 1 & 2.

We've been to a lot of different escape rooms in Ottawa, but Trudeau Towers was definitely the best! The puzzles are so intelligent, the setup is so cool, the story was super engaging and interesting! My group was asking to come back and do more rooms right afer we finished. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and made the story of the room almost feel real! We can't wait to come back!

Been here twice! First time was CarnEvil and it was honestly a blast getting out with minutes to spare and the storyline was soild! The second time was the time trilogy chapter 1 which was okay but knowing that there was 2 more chapters made it feel weird as it left you feeling not escaped by the end of the chapter! Still fun!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was ready early and very clean. One of the items ended up "falling" accidentally and was not related to our specific situation. The staff notified us right away as to not waste time on it. Overall so much fun and would do it again.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. We were a group of 6 (all in our 50’s), and a first experience for 4 of us. The explanations regarding what to do was a bit lacking, it took awhile to get a response on our walkie-talkie when asking for a clue, and the room was very dark! Some of the written clues were soooo small, we had to use our phones and the magnifying glass to see. Escaping shouldn’t be hindered by these factors. We may try an easier room next time, but hope these issues are addressed for future customers.

Very nice experience. We did The Visitors, the flow of puzzles went well, easy enough and no dead time. With only 2 people it's easy to complete as a beginner friendly room. It is well built, well decorated to make you feel exactly what the makers wanted it to. Even if its 45 minutes long we did it in 27. So, good room for beginners, good concept, good flow. Nicely put together.

Honestly, this is probably the most underrated place to play an escape room! We have now done all the rooms that they offer (aside from the experience at Lonestar), and we have thoroughly enjoyed them all! The decor and props in their rooms are really well done, and you can tell that someone on their team is an artist by the attention to detail in them. While we have occasionally encountered technical difficulties (especially when playing rooms shortly after they opened), the staff have always been quick to intervene with any issues and have been apologetic and very pleasant in response to our concerns. I especially like that there is a leaderboard for each room, so if you're feeling competitive, you can try to beat the best times to make it up there as well!

Ok experience. Room could use a bit more refining and this place needs an LLBO license to serve alcohol. Otherwise , friendly staff

Went for my 12 year old’ s b-day party. It was the highlight of the night. Everyone loved it and the staff were great at answering the girls when they needed more hints. Definitely will go again!

I brought my partner here with some friends to celebrate his 25th birthday! The service was great, and CarnEvil was an amazing room to escape. We didn't make it out in 45 minutes, but the staff let us stay to solve the last locks since there was no reservation for the room after us :) it made the experience so much better because we actually escaped!

Our friend and I are use to do escape rooms and tried a lot of different places. We tried the Trudeau Tower at Lockdown Ottawa. The first lock was not working properly and two employees had to assist us to open it. There were pieces that were meant to roll in some pipes that got stock. The riddles we're not all functional and only one clue could be resolved at the time. It was a really disappointing experience. At least the staff gave us 10 minutes extra to get out since we lost a lot of time with the broken lock but we just wish we could get a discount or an other room to try.

The staff looked after us, it was clean and comfortable, and instructions were clear. We will definitely go back.

Pricy for the experience. I've done way more technical ones that lasted 90min with moving ceilings and ZERO LOCKS for like 50$ an hour away from there.

It was sooo much fun! It was my first time doing an escape room. Would recommend the Trudeau tower if you’re 3max.

Good puzzles. But for the Trudeau Hotel wasn't the best should only be meant for 4 people not 6. 6 people was too many to all be solving stuff, 2 of our group were waiting around since there wasn't much to do in the tight space. Both doors fully open which really doesn't get you in the atmosphere of "an escape room" since you can slide the door open and walk out Staff were very nice though the price is okay if you have all 6 people.
