keeping up with fitness has always been a struggle for me. as a bigger woman going to a gym was a terrifying aspect. through word of mouth I found WIT and I'm so happy I did. the classes are challenging and customizable to your fitness level the teachers are so on point with making sure each person is getting their workout properly and safely. the words of encouragement break me from my own fears and make me push myself. the atmosphere is so welcoming, strong, inclusive and positive. 100/100 reccomend this as a gift to yourself every month. from being terrified of judgement to going 4 days a week WIT has helped me reestablish my confidence and self love.

Tucked on a quiet corner, this place gives nice village cafe vibes. There is a healthy sized outdoor patio with comfortable seating options. The inside is nicely decorated with plants, art and wood accents. And the service was very warm and friendly. I ordered a cappuccino and the barista served it at my seat with a smile. The coffee was well done and there appeared to be some tasty light meal/ snack options. Definitely will visit again.

I recently had the pleasure of throwing a retro, disco dance party at Where I Thrive for my fiancée's birthday. Their event coordinator Ewa was friendly, professional and remained patient and accommodating for my many follow up questions (and last minute changes). The night of the event, Ewa and her staff were so hands on and ingratiating with our guests, everyone commented what a great job they thought you had done. The custom cocktail sign that incorporated my fiancée's name was a cute and fun touch. And much thanks as well for letting us briefly transform your beautiful, eclectic space into a retro discotheque for the night. Overall, great party, great venue, and I would 100% recommend Where I Thrive for anyone looking to host a small to mid-sized cocktail party or otherwise music-centered event!

Staff were kind and easy going... but the berry smoothie was kinda gross! Tasted like it was almost carbonated and didn't taste like 'berries' or even fruity at all

Where I Thrive has been a joy to join. From the moment you enter until the time you leave, it is welcoming, professional and punctual. The classes are well balanced and fun. The instructors are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and attentive to everyone. My modest injuries from a full and active lifestyle are accommodated with consistent help and advice. Following each pandemic shutdown my return to Where I Thrive made a difference in my mental and physical health. They welcome people of all ages (I am a senior); of all fitness levels; in all forms. I am glad to be a member of the Where I Thrive community and would highly recommend this great spot to others. Isabel Metcalfe, September 2021

Wonderful addition to the Glebe! Biggest café in the neighbourhood with fabulous service. Highly recommend their oat milk lattes (they use Pilot coffee!), pretzel bun avocado smash (add an egg!), and especially love that I can grab a local beer or glass of bubbly. Great spot to telework with big tables and huge windows with lots of light.

This is my happy place! The instructors and staff are all knowledgeable, helpful, kind, passionate and good at what they do. The wide range of classes and time slots make it easy for me to fit the routine into my life, and it never gets boring! Each class is unique and well thought out. The focus on alignment and doing movement safely to keep your body healthy is such a draw for me. There is a real sense of community that permeates this place. I’ve never stuck to a fitness routine more in my life than I have here, and that is a testament to how good I feel when I’m there and how much I enjoy the classes. I would (and do!) highly recommend this place to others!

Stopped into the studio last week on a trip visiting family in Ottawa. Jamie's barre class was a blast and my glutes were on fire for days after. Also used the weight room which had everything I needed for an awesome heavy leg day. The new space is amazing!

Cozy atmosphere, kind warm and inviting staff, delicious healthy food options as well as amazing treats, it ticks off all the boxes! They have wifi and outlets so you can set up to do some work if you'd like, and don't worry about people camping out with their lap tops because there is tones of seating. Communal tables, comfy couches and chairs, high bars with stools, and lots of cozy tables for 2, they have it all. Not only do they have amazing coffee here, but they also sell wine, beer, and kombucha on tap! Check out their happy hour deals on Thursdays and Fridays :) Dinner options as well. Seriously can not recommend it enough.

I visited WIT while recently I was in Glebe visiting my daughter. I joined for two weeks offer and almost tried every class. Barre classes and YIN yoga were my favourite. I was amazed with the professionalism, friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the place. I already missing the place. Sadly I need to fly back home UK on Friday. But looking forward to come and join WIT one day soon. Keep up the good work and keep thriving people into fitness..Great job. Kim marwaha

The Where I Thrive cafe is fantastic! Post workout, or anytime of day this is a great place to grab a coffee, drink, treat or a full meal! The Avo Smash is a fantastic and filling brunch option. My favourite treat is the Greek Pretzel, it’s chewy and full of flavour with spices & feta cheese! Pro tip: ask for your pretzel or treats heated up! Yum. This is a beautiful place to relax or hang with friends for any occasion. Stop by soon.

This cafe is amazing! I often come here to work for a few hours each week and treat myself to a snack and a tea. Their Pluck tea selections are great and their homemade soft pretzels are so, so good! You can tell that a lot of thought and care went into their menu because everything is made in house. They also have a great selection of wine and beer if you're looking to catch up with a friend over drinks. Another bonus is that it's one of the few places in the Glebe that gets so much sunlight throughout the entire day! Great spot!

An awesome community! As a student I love the flexibility of fitting a variety of classes into a busy schedule. It's awesome to know every class is designed to be accessible and challenging for every level of fitness. The 2 week special is a MUST try !

I recently held a retirement party for a friend at Where I Thrive and couldn't be happier with how well everything went. The space was beautiful, the staff were friendly and Ewa, the event coordinator, was excellent. She helped me arrange gluten free and vegetarian food options and was available day of the event to make sure everything went smooth. Looking forward to hosting my next event.

Fantastic studio! Especially love the mom & baby classes tailored for postpartum bodies. They also create a fun opportunity to meet other moms! The owners Sarah and Jamie care about their community and it shows.

Was in Ottawa for two weeks to attend to family matters and signed up for 2-week trial membership. I had no idea what to expect but when I arrived for my first class, I received a warm greeting and was introduced to several staff and a few members. Workouts were rewarding, members were welcoming, and staff was helpful. Great energy/vibe - if I lived in the area, I would definitely be a member.

As someone with many friends and family in various manual therapies, I decided to try a new one by getting Osteopathy treatment with Claire at Thrive! It was a great experience, as she is very professional, knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining to me how the treatment can apply to my day-to-day. The staff and atmosphere at Thrive was also really enjoyable! Go see her for all your alignment and movement issues!

I booked Where I Thrive for my birthday party and could not have been happier with the experience. It was made clear to me when I booked that classes would still be taking place during the first half of the evening but it wasn't a bother at all. The staff were incredibly welcoming and took care of all the service details which meant that I could relax and enjoy spending time with my guests. The space was bright and cheerful and conducive to a fun and memorable night. I would not hesitate to recommend Where I Thrive for your next birthday or baby shower or the like.

I have always struggled to keep fitness in my life as a consistent thing, but Thrive changed that. This space is beautiful and the people behind it are filled with incredible energy. Everyone here learns your name, remembers it and uses it. The community is so strong and everyone is super kind, instructors and members alike! There is something truly so special here that is missing in other fitness spaces I have tried!
