Lots of shaded areas from all of the large trees. There is a beautiful big splash pad, and several playgrounds for kids of various ages. There is a lot of wide open space for kids to run and play. There are well maintained pathways to walk or bike on. Lots of people walk their dogs here. There is a building which can be used or even rented out for events, with washrooms and outdoor water fountains on site which can be used to refill water bottles or for drinking from. There is also lots of parking in 2 separate parking lots at either end of the park.

I live close by and absolutely love this park. There's plenty of parking and lots of room for various activities. It's also a great place to walk your dog on leash.

Great place to bring the kiddos. There is a splash pad with a washroom nearby. The park overlooks the river and has amazing views. Good for a quiet walk in the early morn or late in the evenings.

My favorite place for an early morning cycle, the trees are alive with the songs of cardinals, chickadees, robins, bluejays, plenty of squirrels and chipmunks too. Make sure to stop at the lookout just below the gazebo and take in the view of the Rideau River, it's especially breathtaking at sunset. A gem of a park, perfect for families and nature lovers!

Great park with many areas for many activities. They have a basketball court ( which needs new poles because one is bent) is great. The one net that is useable is nice. They have a big soccer field with a nice walking path around it. A large play structure with swings and a nice gazebo with patio tables. Walking down to the lookout is nice. You can see the river and bridge. It's a great park. Would've gave it 5 stars if they fix the ball nets 🏀

It's one of my FAVOURITE places to go! The park has two parking lots, a splash pad, basketball hoops/court, a play structure, a covered gazebo for BBQs, walking paths, soccer feilds with posts, and a beautiful deck overlooking the canal. It has it all, and because of it's location you would think it would be super crow but that is not the case. It's a peaceful place for a stroll or picnic. As a photographer, I've found that it's the perfect location for fall photos because of the gorgeous trees. I always have my fall mini sessions here, and there is a good variety of spaces!

Pretty nice park. There is 2 separate parking area and 1 has a light to assist. Play structures are nice for the kids and sand is fairly well kept.

As this is my local park, I enjoy every moment with my wife and pups there daily. Gorgeous spot to spend a few moments and recharge or the day with family and friends.

This park was in absolutely disgusting shape. People had clearly had fast food picnics and just walked away from their garbage when they were done. The park is in horrible disrepair. Several of the splash pad apparatuses were malfunctioning and overshooting the splash lad. The grass hadn't been cut and was like a hayfield (no wonder we have a tick problem). Really curious where all the taxes from Riverside South residents are going because they sure aren't going to maintaining this park. It's pretty sad.

Nice, clean & spacious park with lots of shade for picnicking. Accessible parking & paths at Vimy Bridge end parking. Downside: new looking building with indoor & accessible washrooms was locked. Which means we had to go to the other end of the park to use porta potties (non-accessible).

Great little water park and park for kids. Any kid that goes there always has a blast for hours on end. It's a clean park and there are a few benches and places in the grass where you can lay a blanket and watch your kid(s). I would definitely recommend this park.
