TLDR:
This
studio
banned
me
because
I
tried
to
get
my
money
back
from
a
class
that
was
never
rescheduled.
IXF
staff
lied
to
me,
to
the
Ministry,
and
to
my
credit
card
company
in
order
to
keep
my
money
(and
other
people's
money,
according
to
other
google
reviews
here).
In
the
end,
they
did
keep
my
money,
and
now
they're
being
passive
aggressive
about
it
to
boot.
Highly
unprofessional
and
not
as
inclusive
as
they
claim
to
go
full
scorched
earth
over
an
interpersonal
issue.
Don't
give
your
money
to
this
place.
Context
missing
from
the
feedback
from
the
company
below:
The
series
I
booked
in
December
2021
was
subject
to
this
Iron
X
policy:
"-
In
the
event
of
COVID-19
lockdown-related
restrictions,
all
classes
are
considered
postponed
until
reopening
and
subject
to
studio
credit
only."
When
the
studio
reopened,
not
only
was
that
class
not
rescheduled,
the
entire
schedule
was
revamped
(this
is
typical
for
IXF.
Clients
have
little
sense
of
consistency).
The
classes
the
owner
lists
below
are
not
the
same
focus
as
the
one
I
had
signed
up
for
initially,
which
was
deleted
from
their
calendar.
It
was
also
not
the
same
instructor,
as
the
owner
claims.
I
initiated
a
chargeback
through
my
credit
card
company
in
February
2022,
when
IXF
reopened
without
the
promised
"postponed"
class.
My
chargeback
was
denied
immediately
and
I
heard
nothing
more
from
my
bank
or
the
studio.
My
only
recourse
was
to
attend
some
workshops.
I
spoke
with
Karolyn
and
she
happily
took
the
remaining
balance
from
my
account.
I
heard
nothing
absolutely
nothing
more
from
them,
thinking
all
was
resolved.
As
a
former
employee
of
IXF,
I
have
many
friends
there,
and
wanted
to
go
support
them
and
their
performances.
So
I
bought
a
ticket
to
their
showcase.
One
would
think
if
there
had
been
a
problem,
I
would
have
been
advised.
Then
I
received
blunt
emails
from
the
owner
Karolyn
informing
me
that
I
was
not
welcome,
and
apologizing
for
not
informing
me
I
was
banned.
All
I
can
figure
is
I
have
been
banned
for
forcing
her
to
prove
that
the
language
in
her
waivers
protects
her
company,
even
though
the
word
"postponed"
was
a
complete
and
total
lie.
The
closest
thing
to
the
initial
cancelled
series
was
the
workshop
I
had
to
attend
in
March
(after
the
chargeback
was
already
denied.)
Karolyn
tells
a
different
version
of
the
events
below.
It
seems
incredibly
petty
to
ban
me
for
this,
considering
the
chargeback
was
denied
immediately.
I
was
not
contacted
by
the
studio,
and
my
account
was
not
deactivated,
so
how
could
I
be
aware
of
situation?
For
clarity,
there
are
a
lot
of
good
instructors
and
good
people
at
this
studio.
Unfortunately
the
level
of
mismanagement
is
shocking
and
deeply
upsetting.
I'm
very
sad
to
miss
out
on
seeing
my
friends
due
to
Karolyn's
pettiness.
