Beautiful bridge, that was much needed to connect both sides of the canal (other than Pretoria bridge a ways up towards the downtown). Amazing view of the canal in both summer and winter. Built around 2019, it was a long time coming. I visit often both for the view and the convenience. Also for some reason a lot of spiders call it home.

The Flora Bridge's strategic placement offers pedestrians and cyclists a convenient path to reach Lansdowne, while effectively bypassing the bustling Bank Street. My wife and I frequently make use of the bridge to visit our grandchildren residing on the other side of the canal.

This bridge has been a great addition to the neighbourhood. My family loves it, especially in the warmer months, as we can use this bridge to bike or walk to the east side of the canal, where we can then connect relatively quickly to the paths that border the Rideau River. When municipal planners seek out projects to improve quality of life, especially those that allow transport without relying on a car, they should look at infrastructure like this foot bridge.

Excellent bridge. Provides quick and easy access to the other side of the canal. Much more convenient than swimming or taking a boat.

We walk here every day. The bridge offers a great place to look out over the ever changing canal, and sunsets are really pretty seen from here. The bridge itself is graceful and is its own attraction. There is a pretty fish pond and some nice landscaping at one end in the summer months. The bridge is regularly plowed in the winter and is bike and wheelchair accessible.

I was able to enjoy Ottawa's Rideau Canal while cycling from The Ottawa Hospital General Campus to my home in Gatineau, QC. It is very well maintained, deserving as a UNESCO heritage site. Thank you for the hospitality.

We drove by this beautiful bridge at night. All the lights caught our attention and we had to do a u-turn. Such a amazing little short walk with a beautiful view! But lots of spiders 😩😩😩

Best footbridge in town. Accessible, safe, and fun. It has seating, and great views.

Best way to cross the canal on foot or bike, and at night sometimes the lights will cast the shadows of spiders who make their webs in front of them onto the bridge, very cool and easy access.

Absolutely LOVE this bridge year round. Adds so much joy walking or biking the canal now.

🕸️Suspended high above water in the breeze the bridge is a hit with the spiders. If Flora's webs are accidental design feature, they should be purposefully incorporated in future projects. 🕷️🕸️🪰

I went there with my son on Mother's Day, 2021. I did not know that it was there before. It was very convenient bridge and many people using it by walk, by bicycles, even though by wheelchair. I saw beautiful sightseeing on the bridge. It was built in 2019.

Definitely one of the most needed active transport bridges in the south of the main part of the city. Looks good and is really heavily used. The city needs more! (Bronson bridge please!)

Beautiful footbridge for crossing the canal, located near Lansdowne area. The bridge is beautiful in the evening, very nicely illuminated. At this time of year, there are numerous spiders on the railings! They even cast large shadows on the bridge surface. Could be great if you enjoy spiders in your personal space, but not so great if they make you squeamish.
