First rate BBQ! We had the Diet Starts Monday, and it fed four of us with some to take home. My personal favorite is the brisket. The chicken, pork, and ribs were also great. The ribs were competition done, not fall off the bone and the pulled pork was seasoned to perfection. The sauces were on point as well. They have the OG, Huck's Heat, and Apple Habenero. All were nicely seasoned and paired well with the spread. The Mac and cheese was creamy, the bbq baked beans were flavorful. They have outdoor seating that's covered. We have a dachshund who was able to have a treat with the rib bones and a slipped piece of chicken. We spent just under $60 for four. The seating were large picnic tables that could accommodate another four people. We'll definitely be coming back.

Nice BBQ , both pork and chicken were great. Had the chips and baked beans as sides. Nice to see extra attention was paid to the baked beans .

Crazy good BBQ in the middle of no where. Wasn't expecting the food to be near as good as it was given the location. However, the place was incredibly nice and the service was insanely quick. The BBQ sauces are gluten free and the house chips were great.

I guess I've gotten old enough for things to be too loud. This is a well setup dining area except for the concrete and tin. Between the music and the other diners, I couldn't hear the lady behind the register or the lady that brought our food. I'm also not a fan of the giant menu behind the counter ordering style some places, like this one, have. I'm sure it cuts down on cost and staff but I'd rather have a menu in my hands to look at while sitting at a table. The lady running the register wasn't friendly or unfriendly but almost seemed irritated we were there. The lady that brought the food was very nice and the food was excellent. The fresh slice's of jalapenos on the sandwich added a nice crunch. I really enjoyed the names for the different items as well. I would like to try some other things but it is a little expensive when $11.00 gets a sandwich but no sides or drink. I'll have to try and catch a special.

The smoked and fried wings were juicy and delicious. The brisket dip is always my go to. Wife had the Cheesy Sanchez good as always. Washed down with a stein of shiner always completes the meal one of my favorite spots!

Went in to eat with my husband during the noon lunch rush on a Thursday. Even though they were fairly busy and full, the order was out to us in amazing time. The way they have arranged their dining area is roomy enough that you don't get that busy restaurant, overcrowded, claustrophobia feeling! Love this place!

There is always only one person working the bar which makes it slow getting your drinks. The servers only serve the food but do not wait the tables. They would sell several more drinks if they actually had someone waiting on the tables. The food however is always good.

Food and service was of the charts. We ordered a platter with all the options and the kluckernuts. Great value and we have lots of leftovers

New app is so easy to use, shows you how to earn and redeem points, and updates the status of your order in real time! Pair with that good food and this place is a winner! Our ribs were fall-off-the-bone and the dessert nachos are a new favorite!

Had the brisket sandwich. Sorry, but far from the best I've had. The brisket was just too thick and had a good portion of fat and grissel. The dipping sauce was good but not great. The French fries were nice but the chips were better. Overall not as good as other reviews had me believing.

I got a full rack of ribs platter, 6 ribs. That's not a full rack. My husband's sandwich was dry. My kid's wrap was good at least. That's the only thing saving it. The people clearly didn't want to help the new person running the register. I can't blame her for struggling, you're only as good as you're trained. So clearly you don't want to work there. They were too busy chatting and doing their own thing. Only real issue was she wasn't speaking loud enough especially over the music. Even when asked politely to speak louder. Even with other people working there *standing around*, the only time they came to our table was to drop off our food. Not even to check on us or how the food was. I usually tip even if it wasn't the greatest experience. This time it was so bad, I refused to tip because they put zero effort into it.

ribs were more fat than meat. Other food was tasty but very high price. I got a discount for using the app, the counter person knew nothing about it. Was not addressed or spoken to for about 10 minutes at the counter. Bought barbecue sauce and counter person didn't offer any discount. I won't be back and deleted the app.

This place is amazing. People tend to say it’s pricy, but don’t understand you’re also paying for the service. Food was great, staff was even better. A nice welcoming dining room staff, with a powerful voice in the kitchen insuring quality and food being finished in a timely manner. I wish we had one of these places in Minnesota.

This place used to be great, well now it is absolutely horrific. No one should be allowed to manage a restaurant serving pulled pork and have a customer get huge chunks of uncooked/bbq pork in a sandwich that hides the meat totally by dumping macaroni on it. This is not even bad BBQ this is something people can not sell being thrown on a plate and served to Ottumwa people. Obviously, you do not have to serve good food at restaurants just slop here in Ottumwa is great.

I ordered a full rack of ribs with two sides. After I paid, the wait staff asked me THREE times if I ordered a full rack ! Then when my food was delivered to my table, there was only. Half rack. I said something to the server, she just gave me a blank look. I then had to tell her to just bring me the rest of the ribs that I paid for. The green beans tasted and looked like they had been cooking since last week. I took them back to the counter, asked for something different. With a huff, a server gave me something else. Not a single apology for anything. But , hey, the ribs were fairly good and fresh. The dining room was about 50% clean. Floors were very sticky. I reached out to this establishment. They offered me a refund of the two sides. A whole $7.00. Probably won’t be returning to collect that.

I rarely do Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ But Warehouse Barbecue Company and Brewhouse is top tier! I travel frequently and sample BBQ all over the country. WBC ranks right up there with best I’ve tried. I stopped for lunch while driving through on a work trip. I am already planning a return trip so I can try more of the menu. Food was excellent and the staff was great. *Actual conversation, as they answered my questions about the restaurant and their recommended menu items. Looking forward to my next visit.

Ribs were awesome- tender and juicy just the way ribs are meant to be. Rub had just enough seasoning and not overpowering. Wait staff was helpful and food came out quickly. Everything we had was delicious.

The girls liked their meals. My chicken tacos were ok.. but really dry. I was surprised. Everything else I've had there had been really good

The staff are friendly and very welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious and portions are fantastic. You get what you pay for! Always clean and the staff always seem like it's the place they want to be. That says a lot!

Good BBQ decor. Clean bathrooms. Friendly, knowledgeable, and quick service. Thoroughly enjoyed the turkey and ribs. Also liked the variety and taste of the sauces. Baked beans were among the best we've had. Coleslaw, potato salad, Mac and cheese, and toast were also tasty. A bit pricey, but in my opinion, totally worth it for the quality and quantity. If back in the area, I would absolutely go back!

I finally got to Warehouse Barbecue Company after hearing from, basically everyone, that it was the best. I'm really glad we gave it a try! Food was really good. I had the Barbecueban and wife got the What The Cluck wrap. Both were fantastic! The problem I often have with BBQ joints is that the meats often get dry and tough as they are smoked early and sit for a while. But all the meat was tender, juicy, and delicious. My only issue was that I really didn't taste much smoky flavor. But that was one of my wife's favorite things about her wrap. I like that there are traditional bbq offerings along with some interesting reimagined takes on the "norm." Got a decent beer that was on tap and my wife got a pineapple hard cider (that was really tasty and different.) Personally I'd like to see at least one or two darker choices such as a good porter or stout available. We're definitely looking forward to trying more from the interesting menu.

Stopped by here when driving through town and glad I did. I got the brisket and pork and the both were very tender I could cut the brisket with the plastic fork. Beans were really good as well. All of the workers were also very friendly. If I'm ever close to hear again I'll be back for sure.

From out of town. Ribs and pulled pork were fantastic!! Sides were great. Peach cobbler???? Amazing. Might have to hit them up again before we leave town. They gave me a sweet/spicy bbq sauce for my fries. Spot on!! So good.

Very good atmosphere, better smoked meats. Great selection of beers on tap. Service was awesome.

  • 4/5 Pearl W. 2 years ago on Google
I think I liked the atmosphere here more than anything else. I'd take my family there, but only if the children are older. Feels too much like a full bar and not a family restaurant. The food was good, but nothing I would rave about. Again, it's the atmosphere more than anything else that gives it the 4 star rating.

You might want a knife to butter your bread; you sure don’t need it for the incredibly tender meats. The two meat platter with burnt ends and brisket was $18. The brisket could hardly be picked up with the plastic fork - it just fell apart. The burnt ends were cut in half with the same plastic fork. Several sauces to try, but the meats we so flavorful they aren’t needed. The sides were ok; about average.

👍👍 The avocado toast was deliciousness to the second power! A wheat toast with a large fresh tomato slice, huge amounts of creamy avocado, feta cheese, and two sunny side eggs on the side, that I incorporated into my toast. You need to try it!
