Nice camp ground and they gotta car show going on today.

We enjoyed a 1 night stay in this city campground surrounded by a large park and beside a small pond. I was a bit skeptical that it might be trashy, but it was very nice. There are a few older RVs in need of a bath, but the place felt fine. $20 cash or cheque ($2 extra if you use cc) gets you 50 amp and water. There is a dump station and shower building. The sites are mostly treed, which is nice in the heat. Some sites are more open. There are a lot of Canada geese near the pond, so watch where you walk. The highway noise died down in the evening, but we needed to run the AC anyway, drowning most of the noise. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

If I could leave a zero star review I would. Grounds maintenance is at its lowest and when asked to have the above ankle weeds trimmed down he partially did it followed by a smart allic remark about the person whom asked for the trimming. Several neighboring campers were complaining of the same issue. We used to love camping here, but this year is not a good year sad to say…

Im not sure about current day but ottumwa has 2 campgrounds there this one and the other where they send people who shop at walmart if you didnt sell your house to buy your camper or if you converted a bus because you have a bunch of kids that like to go with my family when we go camping so mine was built to sleep a certain number of kids not to show the neighborhood the size of my wallet i payed for 2 weeks ahead of time because the kids wanted to go fishing and camp and the manager told me we had to park in the back even though we had elderly with us who needed a spot close to bathhouse so then after a week the manager called me at work and asked if we could move our bus to the non electric because he seen we had a large gernerator on the back of the bus and he said they were getting ready to have some carnival or concerts i dont remember but he needed all the space he could get i dont think that manager works there anymore but it has left a bad taste in my mouth since

This is a great campsite and i would for sure recommend it. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The shower house and bathrooms are clean and free and have a code so that you can have privacy. Along with all of those great things, they also have free wifi and will give the password once you check-in. If you decide to stay here i am confident that you will have an amazing time!

Nice campground. Twenty dollars a night, first come first served. Free fast WiFi A lot of traffic noise so we used a white noise video on YouTube thru our phones and that solved that problem

Easy to find and a beautiful campground! Lots of space and very kind hosts! Did I mention the cleanest camp bathrooms I've ever been in with hot water!!!

Grat location, central to Ottumwa. Bit noisy from traffic. Staff very unpleasant to deal with. Would liked to have a bit more "level ground" at my site. Nearly impossible to negotiate with wheelchair!!

Nice campground. Very convenient. Watch your strep. Goose poop is everywhere. Check in was awesome but ran into issues later as the potable water was not labeled very well. The staff got on my case and I can understand but the sign was on the wrong side and I thought she was very rude when she told me. I think the signage needs to be updated. I had no idea I was using the wrong pump and she went off on me. Otherwise it was a good way to spend a weekend in Ottumwa. My grandson had a good time at the playground.

Low key , everyone had a good time. Weren't any hardcore partiers.

They put a picnic table by our camp spot, and I was able to have an enjoyable workspace while the sun went down tonight. Thank you

They refuse to rent out tent sites after the office closes. This is not listed on the website. Do not waste your time driving here if you're traveling with a tent.

Should be called the city dump. Run down, cigarettes buts, broken glass , leaking water spigots. Always used to stay there in the past years. Will not be stoping again.

Its a very nice place. They have hook ups, a playground and you can feed the geese or fish. It looks like they'll have a Christmas light show soon❤

For the price of tents the same as RV then should be same amenities and a bathroom by the tents

Came for a ATHS Semi Truck Show. Plenty of space and places to rest.
