This
is
an
extensive
city
park
that
reminded
me
of
the
Forest
Park
in
my
own
home
town,
Portland
Oregon
in
the
USA.
There
are
many
trails
and
many
places
where
you
can
sit
quietly
alone
in
the
midst
of
the
city.
There
is
a
restaurant
at
the
entrance
off
the
Avenue
Sankara
and
another
in
the
center
of
the
park,
both
quite
pleasant
with
local
and
European-style
dishes
and
plenty
of
beer.
When
I
was
there,
the
north-eastern
part
of
the
park
was
closed,
with
some
wildlife
visible
through
the
fence.
If
you
are
polite
and
friendly
and
somewhat
generous
to
the
guards,
they
will
take
you
through
the
closed
area
so
you
can
see
some
wildlife
-
I
saw
a
variety
of
antelopes
and
crocodiles.
There
is
a
botanical
garden
in
the
north-eastern
corner
of
the
park.
The
gate
was
open
when
I
was
there
but
no
workers
in
sight.
I
went
though
it
and
it
was
interesting
but
not
terribly
well-maintained.
There
is
a
children's
amusement
park
area
that
appears
to
be
open
on
Saturdays
(?).
I
mostly
just
used
it
as
a
refuge
from
the
noise
and
bustle
of
the
city,
and
it
was
heavenly.
