I’m a Medical student who’s currently studying online due to Covid restrictions. Therefore I decided to travel solo and do my last term in Morocco while studying for my exams. I’ve been in Auberge Chez Talout for a month. I absolutely love this place and the people here, so I keep extending my stay in this place. They are extremely nice and supportive. They make this place feel like a what a true Moroccan sanctuary should feel like. The owners are one of the few authentic and kind people I have met. The rooms are really specious and clean with the touch of Berber authentic decoration. The Kasbah itself has a pool, traditional Hammam, roof top, gym, old style tent, cooking classes and even a play ground for kids. The food cuisine is really good and made with love and beautiful Moroccan spices. The owners always put customers and their needs first and money second. During my long stay I came across a lot of people and different types of groups (yoga retreat, bikers, 1st timer in Morocco, etc…) and I have witnessed everyone seemed pleased with their stay and leaving with a smile on their face. I truly feel like home and them being my second family. I feel safe and respected here even though I am a single woman in a foreign country. Abdul and his team are extremely helpful, kind, respectful and resourceful. He has helped me to book other activities like Moroccan dessert experience. My parents came from Canada to visit me in Marrakesh and Essaouira, he also helped me booking things for them. If you seek an authentic and super peaceful experience, I highly recommend you to stay here.

The hotel is perfect. Rooms are traditional decorated with space, the garden is amazing, like an oasis. Extremely quite ideal for relaxation. The owners are very kind and always ready to serve us with a smile. We had a wonderful dinner that we always remember it. Thank you all for the great time we had in your hotel!

Had such an amazing time here. An oasis in the desert. So much to do, a great cold pool, nice rooms, friendly staff and the dinner was one of the best we have had in Morocco. There is a gym, tons of seating areas, a nice balcony and terrace and the showers are very nice. This place was really amazing to stay at!

Beautifully decorated and furnished Riad in Skoura. It's hard to find (our driver crossed 3 dried up river banks to get to here) - even google maps gets confused - I think because the road to the riad is new or not on the maps? The staff here was wonderful, the rooms are beautiful, the pool is a little small but very nice and surrounded by a wonderful garden of plants (well maintained for a desert environment), and the breakfast and dinner was plentiful and filling. Some comments I have however are that my sister found quite a few bugs in our room and on her (but it is a desert in the middle of no where so you can't be too surprised) and the wifi isnt the greatest in the rooms so you'll want to lounge by the pool to get the best signal.

We had a wonderful lunch here and the views were wonderful. The taking lunch was one of my favorite meals on our travels. Highly recommend.

Excellent service and extremely friendly staffs. Always so smiley and enthusiastic! Once of the best dinners we had in Morroco. Indeed a hidden gem in the barren desert land! :)

Very cosy and charming place to rest and enjoy the visit to the south of Morocco. It has fantastic views towards Skoura oasis and the desert. Inside the auberge, everything was very clean and new. Very beautiful garden with a fantastic swimming pool to relax. The food was also very good and abundant with typical moroccan products. The owner is very attentive and friendly, and he makes very good recommendations to visit the region. Only the access is a little difficult. From the main road, a 3 km unpaved roads takes to Chez Talout, but it's in good conditions and easy to drive with any car. It's better to use a GPS system or calling Chez Talout to get some indications.

Lovely little hotel/alberghe. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful with plenty of plants, flowers, and charm. Meals were good and the roof deck has a great view of the surrounding mountains and desert. Gorgeous!

Our tour group arranged this hotel for my daughter and myself. There was only one other party, so the hotel felt very empty. And a little tired. Things are still slow since the pandemic. The staff was very friendly and our dinner and breakfast was fine.

We only had lunch here and it was fantastic! Excellent food, awesome view and wonderful staff. We had called ahead and they were expecting us. Well worth the detour.

In conclusion, my stay at Chez Talout was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the food was amazing, and the overall experience was unforgettable. I highly recommend Chez Talout to anyone looking for a truly authentic and memorable stay in Morocco. I can't wait to return and create more cherished memories at this beautiful retreat in the future.

This is a great place, affordable and a very good location. The rooms are very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was buffet style with lots to choose from and the pool area was lovely - very clean and set amongst a well cared for garden.
