(Translated by Google) A beautiful corner of Galicia, where heavenly peace reigns. A must-see, as well as the purchase of one of the soaps that the monastery nuns make there, with incredible properties for the skin and hair, and beautiful smells.

(Translated by Google) Very nice monastery. And what I liked the most is the water route next to it. They are like 6-8 km one way and then the return, but with 2 km of descent and then 2 of return is enough, if you do not want to beat yourself up, I think, to see a beautiful river, all under a lush forest and the old mills.

(Translated by Google) Monastery nestled in a very lush and quiet natural environment. The Monastery is restored and is worth a visit. There is a beautiful shop with products that the Sisters make, which are lovely and from here I thank them for their hospitality.

In their website, they say that in the months of July, August and September they don't allow reservations from pilgrims. Only if you arrive and they have rooms you will be able to stay there. When I got there, after walking long hours from Pontevedra, on September 22nd, they had no free rooms because they had reservations... from pilgrims! I had to double check with them if the reservations were really from pilgrims (one night stay, all others have to be two or more nights) and they confirmed. So, they say one thing on their website and in fact they do something totally different. After a 23 kms tough walk in my pilgrimage, getting there and discovering that they lie in their website, fooling pilgrims, is very sad and I suggested that they change what they say in their website so that they don't fool other pilgrims. Edit: After my complaint, they changed their website. Now they state that they don't accept reservations for groups of more than 4 pilgrims in those months.

(Translated by Google) La Carballeira (Robledal) of San Xusto, is a park located in the Cotobade town hall, in the province of Pontevedra, next to the Chapel dedicated to Saints Justo and Pastor. In addition to these oaks, some centennial, there is some chestnut. This type of grove makes it spectacular in the fall with the golden color of its leaves. Following a descending track we can reach a beautiful river beach on a no less spectacular Lérez river.

Nice and peaceful place but attention, the church is still part of the parish and managed by the nuns, which means that apparently you can visit it only during the mess. A bit disappointing, mostly because there is no information on Internet about it and a lot of visitors don't know that the church is normally not visitable.

We spent a night at the Santa Maria monastery while walking the camino. We had a lovely stay. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The sister who attended to us was very kind and helpful A highlight was a service for the pilgrims' blessing by the nuns. The restaurant just outside the monastery was good for breakfast, lunch and lunch and dinner.

A bit off the coastal tourist trail, in the cool of the hills. Historic monastery and church. Not a large site, worth a stop on a day tour. A couple of local bars to nearby for some refreshments, and an air of peace when we were there off season
