The
facilities
are
fairly
good,
but
the
management
and
customer
service
is
poor,
and
one
or
two
members
of
staff
have
a
contemptuous
manner.
For
instance,
the
centre
has
a
post-COVID
rule
that
children
using
the
shallow
pool
are
not
allowed
to
use
any
of
the
centre's
own
floats.
(I
think
it
must
be
owned
by
the
Grinch.)
I
expressed
concern
about
this
at
the
time
at
reception:
how
is
a
carer
expected
to
look
after
a
non-swimming
child
and
keep
an
eye
on
floats
left
on
the
side
at
the
same
time?
Still
I
bought
the
floats
(£20)
and,
of
course,
the
first
time
I
left
them
on
the
side
of
the
pool
they
were
taken,
presumably
by
the
bigger
kids
in
the
deep
pool.
At
the
end
of
the
session
I
told
reception,
and
the
woman's
first
response
was,
"What
do
you
expect
me
to
do
about
it?"
(Really!)
I
ended
up
speaking
to
the
assistant
manager,
who
said,
"We
cannot
be
held
responsible
if
you
choose
not
to
watch
your
belongings
at
all
times."
I
said,
"How
can
you
look
after
floats
when
you're
not
using
them,
when
you
are
in
care
of
a
3
year
old
who
can't
swim
and
needs
constant
attention?".
He
reiterated,
"We
cannot
be
held
responsible
if
you
choose
not
to
watch
your
belongings
at
all
times."
I
said
that
doesn't
make
any
sense,
but
he
just
said
it
again.
So
I
said
I
would
like
to
make
a
complaint.
He
said
I
could
go
online.
I
said,
aren't
you
the
assistant
manager—can't
you
make
a
record
of
a
complaint?
He
said
I
could
go
online…
Another
example.
It
is
almost
impossible
to
book
in
to
lane
swimming,
as
the
sessions
are
opened
to
members
first,
and
there
is
no
penalty
for
not
turning
up.
So,
obviously,
members
block
book
and
often
don't
come.
(If
you
do
get
in,
you're
often
left
wondering
where
everyone
is.)
I
told
this
to
reception
today.
The
woman
said,
"I
know,
that's
exactly
what
happens."
I
asked
could
they
consider
changing
policy,
perhaps
introducing
penalties
for
non-attendance,
or
at
least
allowing
other
people
in
if
bookers
haven't
arrived.
She
said,
"There's
nothing
we
can
do
about
it."
I
mean—what?!
I
said
could
she
take
my
feedback.
She
said
I
could
go
online…
Aaaaaaaagh!
