I’ve spent considerable time in KC with “Locals” but never had come across this spot. Definitely need to add this to your rotation. Great Food & the staff are incredibly sweet. Give them a shot for your chilly morning breakfast & I don’t think you’ll be disappointed

A part of my perfect day will always be a little work time at a local cafe or coffee shop. This was the cutest spot in a downtown area filled with character. With indoor & outdoor seating, great coffee & good eats, it’s a must visit in KC.

Wonderful coffee shop with creative and delicious food in a busy and welcoming atmosphere. I had the morning hash over arugula. My wife had the Quiche and my daughter the avocado chicken sandwich. My first time here and I can’t wait to get back.

Discovered this place when we were staying a couple blocks away this past weekend, great little spot for breakfast. Good coffee and a reasonable selection of breakfast cocktails (Bloody Milly was just ok), but the food was terrific! Everything our group ordered was excellent. Personally, I am a HUGE fan of the Chipotle Breakfast Wrap (think burrito). Loved it so much I had it both mornings and got 2 more to-go that I brought home with me!

Late breakfast/early Lunch on a Sunday. It looked to be busy, but no waiting to speak of. Order at the counter, find a table and they will bring the food to you. We had bacon, broccoli and cheddar cheese quiche, It was very good. We Also had biscuits and sausage gravy with a side of potatoes. I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, very good. Looks like your options are limited for breakfast on a Sunday in downtown, you can't go wrong giving Mildred's a try or any day of the week for that matter.

This place is a top notch breakfast place. I read a review that simply stated “Breakfast Hash, Breakfast Hash, Breakfast Hash,” and guess what, I ordered the Breakfast Hash. Man what a good dish! The location is great, the service is wonderful and fast, and the food is absolutely wonderful. If you are in Kansas City you owe it to yourself to stop by for breakfast, you won’t be sorry. Thank you Mildred’s for taking care of me this weekend. Oh, and don’t forget to order the Breakfast Hash, wow, so good.

Cute lil coffee shop with quick service and great menu choices. I got a iced coffee with their classic breakfast sandwich. The people were friendly and brought out my food fast despite a busy morning. It's a cute and cozy shop for a breakfast bite or coffee.

The wrap was delicious, the Latte was ok, I like mine nice and hot and it came out warm and wasn't satisfied with that but the food was very good. I went back to give the coffee Latte another shot and it was nice and hot.

Fantastic experience, it was my first time here. The man running the front helped me decide on what to eat and was super friendly. The wrap I got was very lovely, and I will definitely return for the sandwich the next time I have the chance. You all were awesome! Thanks again!

Mildred’s is a KC staple! It never disappointed and always had fresh and delicious food. I love their rotating items. They are the perfect place to grabs brunch, lunch, or a snack. Highly recommend you check this out when you’re exploring Downtown KC!

Love Milds! As a former employee, and current customer I can say from my own experience this place is such a fun environment! I love that the Ashby fam treats employees and customers like they’re family as well. They take pride in their breakfast sammies and even more so in their coffee, you can see that from the routinely updated menus and new ideas coming out! I continue to go back not only for the food and yummy drinks but because of the great relationship with management who always have my back when my schedule won’t allow me to work as much anymore! Nothing but respect for the small, local family business that weathered the pandemic and still made sure their employees were taken care of!

Mildred’s is a cute spot downtown. They were accommodating with making our kids grilled cheese sandwiches even though it wasn’t on the menu. Parents really appreciate that as we love to try finer dining. I got the garden salad and loved the freshness. I subbed the red wine vinaigrette, which was super delicious. My husband got the cubano and said it was perfect.

Love Mildred’s! You can get breakfast food the whole time they’re open. Pictures below is a veggie breakfast sandwich, side of potatoes, and in the back is a half order of a cessation salad. The half order is huge FYI! Great fast casual experience - Expect to order at the counter, fill your own water, clear your own dishes, etc.

Great selection of food and pastries. Standard sandwich is great any time. Had one of the biggest cups of coffee at 20 oz. Staff is always courteous and helpful. Highly recommend the bacon.

OMG! I’m in love with this sandwich😋It’s the Breakfast Vegetarian with extra egg, and I recommend adding the Breakfast Potatoes (Leave then alone, don’t add anything; their flavor is fresh and simplistically full). I can’t wait to try the Brioche Cinnamon Roll later!!

Great Breakfast! Breakfast burrito is warm, savory, and quite filling. Espresso drinks are on point and the atmosphere is money!

I’m still here but felt like I needed to rave about how much I love this place. It’s so cute and unpretentious but everything was amazing. The coffee was great, my sandwich (with soft scrambled eggs, what a delicacy!) and especially my brioche cinnamon roll. I love that you bus your own dishes and everyone that works here is lovely. Throw money at this place they deserve it.

Wanted a quick but great place to snag breakfast before heading to the airport. This place did not disappoint. The biscuits and gravy were amazing. The biscuits... I've ordered this meal at so many spots and they always screw it up. This place nailed it. The atmosphere was awesome. Nice fall day breakfast spot outside. Friendly people. If I'm ever back in Kansas City I'll be coming back here!

If you’re in town for a day or two stop here for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. This place nailed it. Great food, great drinks. We enjoyed the chipotle breakfast wrap, standard sandwich and a matcha latte. Everything was excellent!

I’ll keep it short and sweet! The Brisket Pot Roast sandwich was out if bounds! I’ll definitely be returning to this place when I’m back in KC!

Another victim of the "BREAKFAST HASH" review, and I'm glad to say I was. Staff were attentive, food was amazing and it was delivered quickly. Coffee too was great (I had the Guatemalan drip on advice from one of the servers), and I fully enjoyed both the 1st cup and the refill. Brilliant breakfast/brunch spot 😁
