😠 Like many others, they filed my claim with the wrong insurance company, and several months after services received. When I called to correct it, they confirmed they already had my updated insurance all along, apologized for the error, and would resubmit it. They did, but my provider rightly denied... I have had similar problems with this company. I never received a bill from this company and had no idea that I owed them anything (I had a trip to the emergency room). I found out about this bill when I saw a collection agency had placed this on my credit report. When I called them, they stated that they had sent me a bill. I asked to what address they sent this and they had sent it to an address in Lee's Summit. I live in Pleasant Valley. I then contacted this company and they also sent the bill to Lee's Summit. Update: The company did get in touch with me and I received a statement dated 10/20/17. I immediately paid this bill on 10/30/17. However, it still remains on my credit report as of today, January 6, 2018. I have called billing several times and each time am assured that everything is paid in full. I have spoken with the collection agency three times since I paid this off, and each time they tell me that United Imaging says I have not made any payments and still owe the money. This is a freakin' nightmare. I have since sent the collection agency a copy of my paid receipt, yet this still remains on my credit report.

Like many others, they filed my claim with the wrong insurance company, and several months after services received. When I called to correct it, they confirmed they already had my updated insurance all along, apologized for the error, and would resubmit it. They did, but my provider rightly denied the claim due to "untimely filing." When I called my insurance company about the denial, they explained the billing company just had to fax over "proof of timely filing" and show they did attempt to file sooner, but with the incorrect information. I called UIC to request this be done and they refused! Said it was up to me to file any disputes and they wouldn't deal with the insurance company any more. As far as they were concerned, I was now responsible for the full amount. I was threatened with collections if I didn't agree to a payment plan. You can't come after me for your billing error! It was denied by insurance only because of their billing mistakes! I file claims for a living. This place... Man. Gross incompetence. It's telling that one of the first directory choices when calling their billing department is "If you are a lawyer, press..." No wonder so many lawyers call.

Billing department is terrible. They submitted a claim to my insurance and didn't receive a response so they billed me instead of contacting the insurance to ask why their claim went unresponsive. Lazy billing practices EDIT: your response to this review is the same as the other review responses. It seems that this IS your normal procedure for patients. And yes I've talked to 2 of your reps today that both said the same thing. Im not calling back a 3rd time. 2nd EDIT: I work in medical billing. Nice try. You can resubmit, especially when the claim you submitted had a user error resulting in the claim denial. Not my fault. Not my job either, that's yours. Pathetic response that's naturally expected from a place like this.

Not a surprise that I have a similar situation in that I NEVER received a bill, but was called and told my bill would be sent to collections. I spent HOURS trying to figure out what exactly happened and through what hospital. Unfortunately, this is not a service I chose, but one with whom the hospital has a contract. With that said, I finally paid my $49 bill and asked if the matter was closed so it would NOT go to collections. I was told it was taken care of. This was last summer. Fast forward to July of 2017 and I am trying to refinance my home loan, and guess what-this has been sitting at a collection agency for over a year! Once again, I spent hours trying to get a hold of a human being and was told I have a "ZERO" balance and that my bill was paid in full, but was still sent to a collection agency! I am now trying to clean up the mess that United Imaging Consultants created. It is a NIGHTMARE!

Never received a bill from them, but then received a letter from collections saying I owed them $69. I immediately paid that with collections, but then received a bill from United with a statement dated for a month ago, claiming that I owed them $122!! I called them this morning and they tried to charge me for more than I actually owed them. It wasn't until I pointed out that they sent me to collections for $69 that she subtracted it from the $122 I owed them. They claim they will put on record that I never received any kind of statement until today, but I don't trust them. I hope it doesn't ruin my credit! I always pay on time, I should have never been sent to collections! Horrible billing department!

My experience was like everyone else's. I received a bill a full year after my surgery that didn't go through insurance. I added insurance on their website so they could file a claim but received a voicemail my account was going to go to collections. It's not much money but I'm paying it out of pocket when I shouldn't just because they can't bill timely or through insurance and it's not worth anymore hassle. I don't think these reviews matter to them since the hospital hired them but given the overall feedback here I'd say if you have a choice of where to go I'd read these reviews and make a decision.

even though for united imaging consultants billing department the review is a 1 star. after reading other reviews and having to call in and speak to June myself, She is a rock star. not only did she assist in getting my bill taken care of she also called me back with an update that she was able to get the collection agency to get it removed from my credit report. All this over a $106 bill that i was never aware of till it showed up on my credit report.

I required medical treatment for a CT scan, MRI and pending an MRI yet and have had trouble with the patient accounts/billing department. The number they list on there statement to call with questions or concerns about your bill is a number you will never reach a human being no matter how long you stay on the line and all the queuing for other departments. The automated attendant phone number 24 hours a day is not one I would recommend as it is of no help if you have questions about your bill and especially when the bill is in accurate After numerous attempts and finally getting a phone number from the hospital where I had my testing done I called that number and had a very delightful and helpful lady by the name of Jeannette . She listened to my concerns and then shared with me she would need to forward my concerns to the business office patients accounts manager whose name is June. ICannot say enough kind words about June and her professionalism as well as the way she listened and was able to correct the concern I had and moved forward with getting my correct payment processed and also correct in billing to my insurance company. Every company should have wonderful employees like Jeanett in June and they need to be recognized. Thank you both for helping me through this process and not sending an incorrect bill onto collections.

Similar to others, I received no bill from this imaging company but did receive a notice from a debt collector. I paid the United Imaging directly after getting that notice and I’m told the timing wont lead to anything adverse on my credit report but they need an overhaul of their billing process. I have no bill from UIC. I always pay my bills on time so I’m very unhappy about this mixup.

I have had similar problems with this company. I never received a bill from this company and had no idea that I owed them anything, my insurance was also paying 100% at this time. I found out about this bill when I received a call from a collection agency. Update: Company contacted me to work it out and removed from collection while insurance sorts it out

Only received one bill and called them to submit again to my secondary insurance. They did not do that, and sent my bill straight to collections without another bill sent to me. Very poor business practice.

I want to thank June Spiker for her excellent customer service. I had a billing issue and she was extremely detailed and helpful. Much appreciated!

Negative stars if I could. United Imaging Consultants (UIC) mis-coded mammogram and other services as β€œWorkplace injury”. For almost a year UIC has been unable to correct their mistakes. Now they sent us to collections, even while they are still working the open case to fix their coding errors. Avoid UIC at all costs.
