Oh em gee, this place is a gem! Excellent food, unique modern dishes and incredibly hospitable service. The samosas are huge, stuffed to the brim with a shell that isn't too thick yet still tasty and perfectly crisp. The lunch rice bowl was also heaping. I got tofu with palaak sauce and every component was delicious on its own and combined, even the rice! And I tried the gluten free naan and it was also tasty. I liked it better than some of the yeasty bready naans that I've had from other restaurants. Definitely a great spot

The service was 11/10! The manager/owner was so attentive and asked for our feedback for the Del Ray bar crawl special (avocado chaat). The masala chai was super flavorful and I love how they allow the customer to adjust the sugar level. The avocado chaat was fresh and the tamarind chutney was amazing! The lunch bowl was great value for $11 plus additional few dollars depending on the choice of protein. The lunch rice bowl comes with naan, protein choice, chickpeas, and potatoes.

Quaint interior with slightly dated and spotty furniture. Food was good/great. My chicken tikka burger was a nice fusion dish with appropriate taste but the twin patties, as filling as they were, felt cooked from frozen. The chaat was crunchy and delectable with sizable portions. The salmon with pineapple was a very good choice. Perfectly cooked and the accompanying creamy curry on the side hit the sweet spot. The only blemish on this otherwise happy meal was the ‘kurkure fries’ which were just deep fried strips of flour. No potatoes; ergo not fries. Dint taste bad was meh. Felt bad wasting food but just couldnt finish it.

Love going here. Best Indian restaurant in Alexandria area. Ordered Garlic nan, Tikka masala with protein and Korma with protein. Tikka masala was not good at all. Usually their tikka masala was very tasty. Korma was good as usual. I don’t know what had happened with their tikka recipe. I personally like their lunch specials better than their dinner menus. Parking on the street.

First time here and definitely not my last. Probably had the best Indian food and experience. I’m vegan and had better and more options than other restaurants I’ve been. My friend had the chef’s mixed grill abe loved it. The lamb was her favorite. Even have vegan dessert.

Instagram led me to Spice Kraft for my birthday, and I couldn't have been more pleased. My family thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was superb. I would definitely recommend the location, and my fiancé and I will be back soon. We came for lunch, and all four of us ordered the lunch special curry rice bowls. For the bowls, you choose the rice, protein, and curry. The bowls come with naan, which can be upgraded, chickpeas, and a piece of papadum (lentil cracker). As there were four of us present, we each chose a different curry (korma, saag, tikka masala, and vindaloo), and we were all very happy. Each curry was flavorful, and the level of spiciness could be customized. Three of us upgraded to garlic naan and one of us chose the goat cheese and olive naan. The naan was so soft and perfect for absorbing the curry. We also ordered samosas. They were VERY generously sized and came with two chutneys. An order comes with two pieces, but each samosa could be cut so that four people can easily share a single order. Presentation for each dish was excellent. I ordered a mango ginger lemonade and it came topped with an orchid and a lemon slice. It had the sassy appearance of a cocktail despite the lack of alcohol. We were also very happy with the service. Our waiter was friendly. However, the manager (I think?) on duty was also making rounds and checking on everyone, which was nice to see. We had a great conversation about other Indian restaurants in the area. He actually overheard me mentioning that it was my birthday, and while we thought we were expecting the check, I was actually surprised with a complimentary coconut bread pudding (it was warm and not too sweet and an excellent dessert for any coconut lover) and a note from the staff. It was such a touching and considerate gesture, I would come again for the service alone. We will definitely be back!

This is without a doubt the best Indian restaurant in Alexandria!! The food is absolutely fantastic. Everything is done with great day care and outstanding presentation. The best thing about this spot is everything. Nothing falls short. Decor, food, staff and location. Anthony and Vicki are the most attentive hosts you will find anywhere. Very courteous and always smiling. I Love This Restaurant! Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You won't regret! It just may become your favorite restaurant too.

Really above and beyond place of business. I ordered 5 min before close and they took my order without hesitation! I ordered the Tikka Masala Plant based, they created a custom garlic GF namm and the food was delicious! Totally recommend this place for your Indian food cravings! They treated me very kindly here.

I had high hopes for Spice Kraft but was a bit disappointed. We were greeted really nicely and upon being sat our server was kind and pleasant; but that's the last we saw of her for 20 minutes. We ordered and 35 minutes later our food arrived. The food was delish, I had the Lamb Biriyani and she had the Butter Chicken. The lamb dish was suitably spicy and you could tell both dishes were made lovingly though once again we ran into an issue. We had been finished for at least 15 minutes before our plates were cleared and it took another 25+ minutes to pay the bill. I have to add, this was not a particularly busy evening. Anyways, I do recommend giving it a shot, maybe it was just an off night.

This place is the best of Del Ray! Affordable, delicious, and has great gluten free options (including fantastic gluten free naan)! More importantly, the service and the people are so wonderful! I dropped my wallet outside getting takeout, and they called me to return it. Amazing food, even better neighbors!

I went recently with a couple of friends, but they didn’t seem to be impressed. They thought the food was not spicy at all even though they asked for medium-level spice (heat) for their dishes. For me, on the contrary, this is the perfect place, because I could taste the spices on their dishes and sauces without it being hot spicy. I prefer non-hot spicy food. For people who do not eat spicy and want to try Indian food, this is the perfect place.

I get delivery from here once in a blue and it’s definitely one of my go-to spots for Indian food. I like that you can essentially get any protein on the menu prepared with any sauce at any spice level. They also have both salmon and shrimp, which isn’t the case with a lot of Indian restaurants in the area. The food is fresh and consistently good. Definitely recommend.

This establishment is an absolute pleasure to dine at. The staff is extremely polite and willing to work with all guests to meet their dietary needs. Each dish is a custom take based on your desire for the day. We took paneer in a korma sauce, naan, and samosas. All of these dishes were well crafted and at the appropriate spice level based on the order. The quality and speed with which the meal was prepared was great. Seating is plentiful at the time we went with different seating options based on the party. I recommend taking a look at this hidden gem.

The staff is very attentive and friendly! This location is a bit small so make reservations if going on the weekends. The food is amazing! Indian food can be an acquiring taste for some people, but this place can really change a person’s mind. I recommend whatever protein you choose with Korma and/or home style sauce Highly recommend overall

I was wowed by the number of vegan options, and even more by the flavors in these creative and beautiful dishes!! The wait staff were friendly and the vibes on the patio were perfect.

Every dish is made fresh to order. The sauces are incredible! The meats tender and juicy. The vegan dishes tasty and filling. The chutney, salads, veggies are so good and fresh. The plating is gorgeous. I am here for only 5 days but have been back twice already. Planning a dessert visit for our final night!

This place was highly rated so I had high expectations. It was good, but not overly flavorful or spicy. The server was very polite and pleasant, and it was a cozy atmosphere on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I would definitely go back. The menu offers a lot of options.

This place is soooo good! I was working from home and didn’t want to cook lunch for myself, so I looked in the local area and Spice Kraft has lunch specials! I got all this good for under $15 for take-out! Everything tasted fresh and so flavorful. Def going back for dinner and to dine in!

Wonderful atmosphere 👌 we loved sitting outside. Service was prompt and attentive All of the food was amazing!! The spinach pakora chaat was wonderfully textured and might be my new favorite thing 👍🤤 the goat cheese and olive Naan was warm and delicious too.

Great Garlic Naan bread very slow service. The place is so popular than it is full on weekends, and you need to be very pacient if you want to eat there. Aside from that, the chicken is very tasty (spicy) and the price is very good too.

Tasty chicken. Very crispy chicken; juicy too. I like the okra as well, but some other people at my table weren't a fan. The dill pickle spears were really good too! We had to wait about 25 minutes for a seat, but it was worth it. Definitely crowded though.

I love this place! They’re very good if you have food allergies/celiac. Their menu is extremely well done and clearly marks what is GF, Vegan, and vegetarian. I got the chicken Biryani a few days ago and the portions are very generous and taste amazing. 10/10 I’ll be coming back to try more items! Most importantly, I ate the food and didn’t get sick, so if you’re looking for a great gluten free place this is a great spot. Also, the staff is extremely kind and put smiley faces on my takeout containers. Sometimes it’s the little things that go a long way.

It was just okay. My dining buddy and I got a couple of Spice Kraft's lunch specials. I got a butter chicken curry rice bowl and they got the maharani veg burger that came with most delicious kurkuri fries. My bowl was meh--tasted like everything was pre-cooked including mushy vegetables and rice.

Delicious, well-seasoned, and well-prepared food. The service is attentive and knowledgeable. Agree with the other reviewers - this is similar to Rasika but local and convenient. The lunch menu has good selections at reasonable prices and generous sized portions. LOTS of gluten free options! The desserts are also amazing. I have introduced several friends to this restaurant and we will be back!

Interesting quirk for their menu - rather than list out different "classic" Indian dishes, they list sauce options and protein options. I liked that, since it created a lot more options than you'd usually see. The spice levels were a bit inconsistent between dishes. My friend and I both got "medium" spice with very different results.
