Great walk from The Refreshment Rooms( who do fantastic food) up the prom past Rock Park ( worth going inland to see these historic buildings) up to the Green at the top- one mile away. And if you want to walk further onto the nature reserve and "Birkenhead Mountain"! And back again enjoy lunch or tea at the Refreshment Rooms ( book well ahead to make sure you can eat there)! There are history boards on to he way and great photos on the Refreshment Rooms walls too,! A lovely day out! Or take a picnic- there are a few seats at the end of the prom.

It is the most beautiful, peaceful place. I take my dog for a walk there every day I possibly can.

Pleasant enough walking area, right on the banks of the River Mersey with views across to Liverpool. You can see the Cathedral, the Liver Building and other iconic Liverpool landmarks from here.

Nice place for strolling I visited yesterday just to get fresh air. But I want to highlight something you may come across with while your trying to chill on the grass Dog 💩poop in the public parks in UK is the biggest problem.

There are plans to revamp the promenade & slipway etc - should look good when it comes to fruition... Meanwhile, it's a nice walk & has a nice view of the Mersey &, looking right, a fabulous view of the West side including Shell oil refinery - Welsh mountains - Ellesmere Port Eastham & aircraft going in & out of Speke airport...

Amazing place, just a shame the council are letting it rot away. But they couldn't care less

Nice spot for a walk with views over the river. A good way to extend a walk in the river park

Good views of the rivers, but unable to make out the Pier Head due to other buildings being taller and masking the three graces
